- I always thought ELRS was complicated but it really isn't, binding was easy. If you do have problems binding just remove the binding phrase altogether and input the number ''255'' into the binding phrase field of the Rx or you can put the Rx into bind mode with the traditional 3 times plug in method and simply hit bind inside the LUA script on your radio.
I've Switched to the Jumper T-pro 1W ELRS radio for casual flying and freestyle, I intend to keep CRSF for flying long range... 900mhz @50hz works well. It'll take me a few flights to get used to the new radio and the higher refresh rate...I'm flying 500Hz here.

Hey mate, I am currently having this thought dilemma as well. I've been pretty much dedicated to the TBS (Tracer) protocol but I'm unsure if they will continue as a reliable choice anymore as availability is a thing. My logic tells me I should switch but TBS is just so much easier and has always been a reliable control link. I was always willing to pay for easy street but the scarcity of TBS products leads me to believe they are fading out of the market.
I have only seen more pros than cons in switching to ExpressLRS. I am keeping TBS for long range flying. I had considered TBS Tracer but ELRS is way ahead in the 2.4G
I have a crossfire lite on the Jr module of a Jump t16 pro and about 5 crosfire recievers. Im planning to get a Radiomaster Boxer ELRS with JR Module socket and use the crosfire on the back of that. So any new receivers I add are expresslrs and I can use the crossfire on long range fixed wings or quads, and transition anything new to elrs
Best of both worlds 😊
Excellent part2 😜👊👍 cool flight and spot 😁✌
Thanks Jean. it's a short walk from home
Been on that elrs juice forever f1000 life baby
ive not even tried that yet lol
I think you right in this, happy flying mate. Thumbs 👍 up.
thank bud, hope you guys ok across the pond there
@@WindjumbieFPV weather could be better.
I hear so much about you... so much... ✌🏻(all good)
Ha! Just having fun...Thanks for stopping by, Happy flying man.
Nice flying wind jumble will try ELRS Soon 🎉
yeah bro, get on it...very affordable option
I also feel the urge to switch to ELRS, but something makes me stick to CRSF.... (about 15 kwads on CRSF) Great video again bro!!!
This is why I still have one foot in the door, I will never ditch crossfire completely.
Was not ready for the 3D. Sick!
haha yeah i'm always flying 3D
awesome flying and vid ! really thinking of trying ELRS
I noticed a huge difference when combined with digital video, fingers and quad movements feel more in sync 🫡
@@WindjumbieFPV only been flying for just over a year and I fly analog and Frsky D8 currently, I feel it is no different then the sim in terms of latency and how it actually feels, which I find insane and its very nice, I just feel like at some point the range of it is going to get me and ELRS seems like a good direction to go in. very nice to know it has a good feel to it though thanks for that info !
I run ELRS now but initially i had issues
Crossfire just seemed easier to setup but i love elrs now
Pimp flying too bro as always
Thanks buddy 👊🏽
smooth sailing anyways hehe you do you! What ever link or controller what works that works
Yeah but Crossfire is now twice the price as ELRS receivers and not readily available...also only TBS makes crsf receivers but ELRS had a heap load of companies on board, fast packet speeds and higher telemetry output power, only the logilal way forward right?
@@WindjumbieFPVI'll give it some time to sort out their 5.8 protocol. Untill I stopp seing RX loss from ELRS around me I'll stick doing the Tango 2
How u finding it so far fam? 500hz?
I like it, so far it is way for flexible than crossfire. Yes i'm flying 500Hz, didn't try the 1000Hz yet
@@WindjumbieFPV sweet fam! 500hz is good enough and at 100mw. Dont need to go high with it unless u doing long range
@@shogunemperor as low as 100mw? i was pushing 250
@@WindjumbieFPV mine’s set to 500hz@100mw of course 250mw would be slightly better
Nice. Do you feel any difference from crossfire ?
yes, from 500hz the difference is definitely noticeable. The output power also doesn't need to be as high, you can fly on 100mw easy.
@@WindjumbieFPV thanks 😉
I'll probably make the switch to elrs once all my crossfire birds need rebuilding.
Your flying skills still amaze me🫨🙃
Hehe thanks buddy 👊🏽
