    If I am not mistaken, the MPC X can act as an audio interface, that is, instead of connecting the outs from the MPC to the UAD, you can connect the MPC directly to the computer. Then that way, you can individually select the track outs from your MPC and link it to individual tracks in your DAW. You will still have the FA stereo out and your additional (internal) inputs from the MPC. If you use your UAD to colour the sound on the way in with DSP effects (Compressor and stuff in the control panel before it hits the DAW), then excuse my comment.
    Great video by the way.

    • @BoloDaProducer
      @BoloDaProducer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you can use both ways, but if you notice I had synth going into MPC to use is converters and back out of MPC into UAD pre’s.. gives an extra bit of fattness without having to use unison plugins

    • @tonylancer7367
      @tonylancer7367 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BoloDaProducer I actually thought it was the UAD console plugins but it makes sense now, your sound is real clear.

    Ok this blew my mind. Very clever way of handling the overall issue. Huge time saver And really clean work. Thank you! Your hard drive has gotta have huge amount of space and ram for the audio you are recording onto it, right? Does running your fa06 through the mpc REALLY make the audio sound bigger/fatter? Why would that be?

    Hey Bolo, you should do more of them FA-O6 videos, of just making a beat from the hardware. I think it is so much more artistic and inspiring watching producers make beats right from the hardware itself. Your unboxing video was fire, and you got me lit up with this. That bad boy looks nice, that FA-06 might just be the one piece of gear that I get, but I'm really thinking about an mpc or the maschine plus. Keep doing your thing, and I'm gonna subscribe because I would really like to see another FA-06 video, even if the beat is already pre-made. I don't even care. I love these stand alone hardware synth/drum machines more than anything...SBN

    I think it makes more sense to just work in the box and bounce as you go. Save channels with important midi info and deactivate so they don’t eat up CPU. The way your working right now is essentially the same thing but your adding this whole extra process of “bouncing to the click and cutting”. Also, I’m pretty sure Ableton and logic have MPC grooves that you can apply to drums.
    This work flow would frustrate me, but I also work pretty quick to get an arrangement done.

    • @BoloDaProducer
      @BoloDaProducer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because that will take more time. But routing the track into MPC first. You can bounce directly into FA 06 while being controlled by MPC

      @@BoloDaProducer I use to bounce this way back in the day..I think the method your suggesting is much longer, and may result in lost of quality from the AD/DA converters....you can automatically bounced multi tracks from the Roland on to the SD drive, while making a cup of coffee and not worrying or overseeing the bouncing process....But I do understand that we all do things differently......Thanks for the toturial 👍

    Great vids... I have a quick question if you don’t mind. I have an FAO6 and I use beat maker. Though the FA06 Can send Midi to the iPad running beat maker 3, can the FAO6 be used as an audio interface for the iPad when using the FAO6 as it is in the Yamaha MOXf? I’ve been trying to get this to work but with no success. Just want to be able to send audio from the F806 utilize the full function of theBeat maker on the iPad via MSU and monitor all of this through the FA06 as again it has been done in the Yamaha MOXF. I think I'm wrong but I have a motif xf6 but I want to be able to use the onboard sounds of the keyboard but also control VST'S. Is there a way that I can do this seamlessly? or would I have change a setting to each time that would allow me to go in to midi controller mode then back to using the inboard sounds.

      @@BoloDaProducer I'm sorry sir... But there is NO WAY you can transfer audio using a "MIDI CABLE" audio can only be transferred Via usb or audio cable. The ONLY thing you can do with a midi cable connected to a computer is record the midi data into your DAW.
