Of course your video is the only one that makes sense. Thank you BDP. Unfortunately the new update only supports 44.1khz sample rate. I own a Korg Kronos and an Allen & Heath QU-32 mixer. Both units only transmit at 48khz. I hope Akai will upgrade soon to support the higher rate.
9:20 the +/-1 number is due to the fact that on the MPC, bank numbers start from 1, but on synthesizers, the banks start from 0.....

Thanks for your video. I've had a problem, there was nos sound from my roland. And i found where the problem was, the sampler wasn't on "on" (I find the solution on a AveMacRee vid). Hope it will help the one who meet this problem. Your tuto was very clear and it was so simple to do it with your tip. Thanks again.

Just bought a Yamaha MODX8 and trying to sync my MPCX!!!
Good luck, I got rid of my Modx 2 twice. It connects but it’s a pain to get it working right. That’s why I got the FA-06

I'm trying to connect my mpc live and fa6 but having a slightly different issue
Dope vid! I have an mpc live 2…..followed all the steps, but I have no sound coming through the mpc when I play the fa 6. I can see something happening with the feedback and can hear the recording play back. But can’t hear any sound or metronome click sound through my headphones

I never knew that about the banks and program ch! I've been saving the session in the fantom and in mpc and having to line up by the project name. How do you find out the Bank MSB and Bank LSB numbers? Edit: Never mind didn't finish video yet. haha.

The reason the number is different, 0 on MPC and 1 on the keyboard, is because of... COMPUTER MEMORY! the MPC is using array indexing with zero as its base. As you said always one number below the program on the keyboard.
I programming, we run up against this issue all the time. I also think it may be possible you find a keyboard that uses the same and they will match.
The only programming I do (occasionally) is in Excel VBA and when dealing with arrays or indices, I have to remember that counting starts at 0 and not 1. Yes, there is a statement that I can use to make counting start at 1, but that's pretty much bad practice in general.
Back on topic, I agree with your assumption that's the reason one number lower is chosen.

For some reason I couldn't get this to work. Although I don't know what your midi settings are on the FA-06. I have the FA-07. I set everything the same but didn't hear anything in the midi track. I'm running my FA out to a mixer then back to the MPC. If I turn "off" Local Switch on the FA and go into Sample on the MPC and turn on the input, I can hear my keyboard. So the sound is getting back to my mpc. I even tried going directly from my FA to MPC , still no luck. What are your FA midi settings?
Did you ever find a fix? I have FA07 and Live 2, same problem...everything hooked up right via USB cable but no audio coming out when I play FA07 keys.

Bolo I got a question , when I export my files to load into pro tools , the sounds from the Roland are not exporting , when I load the exports into pro tools only the mpc sounds like drums and whatever sounds I have on the mpc export but the roland sounds do not , how do you get them to export ?

That's a dope idea way of saving and I remember we used to have to load them in manually when we used the sound modules. What category do I look under in my JunoDs88 to find the Msd and LSD patch bank numbers?

I need to figure this shit out ,I have a kronos, been tryin to dothis shit over a year smfh, I got it recording the kronos sounds but it wont record them thru the whole sequence, after about 2 bars everything I recorded into the mpc is blank. If I play a piano for 8 bars on playback it only plays about 2. And I cant figure out how to have it coontrol the mpc sounds without playing the kronos sounds ........fml
You have to turn off “Local control” on Kronos so it won’t play sounds until is assigned.

Still doesn't work properly, so I switched to the roland jd xa.....same thing , when O record an 8 bar sequence starting from the beginning it only plays back around half , then I get long ass wild notes

I have the exact same setup. However, I’ve been trying to also connect my iPad through the midi in/out ports of the Fantom to also use the sounds of the iM1 Korg app… It’s connected but don’t know how to route the audio from the iPad back to the Fantom… Audio is coming out of the iPad. Any help is highly appreciated!
Very useful thanks for the video. Can he ask you, is it possible for the Phantom to control the MPC and everything is synchronized when you change the tempo of the Phantom to change to the MPC as well?
The program ch. is one less on the MPC because it starts at 0. The FA starts at 1. So that's why 14 becomes 13.

Appreciate your videos I have a new MPCX I followed your directions , I have one problem in computer mode recording will only allow me to do 4 bars and stop recording when I hear it in play back it only goes to 4 bars when I have set it for 8 or more , in standalone it's all good, is there some setting in the software that I can change it.

When I switch sounds in the deep mind, to lets say add a base line after I recorded my lead even when I change tracks and programs in the mpc it changes my lead sound ! U got a deep mind help!! Lol

Thanks for the video. I have followed every step to the T. But I can’t get any sound from the mpc when I am using the midi channel? I do see the signal light for input and output working when I press keys on the key board. I can also go to another track within sequence and I hear Audio coming from my speakers and headphone, so Audio is working for the mpc. Lastly if I plug my headphone in my Roland, I can hear Audi coming out.
It just I can hear any Audio from the midi track no matter what channel I go to!? What am I doing wrong please...
Make sure the gain 1and 2 jobs are turned up. If you got it plugged into 3/4 make sure that knob is turned up. Make sure the main and direct knob is in the middle. Make sure on track the record button is red and says Auto underneath. If those don’t work. We might have to do a one on one, but I charge for that.

Im thinking about buying a fantom or the Roland Juno-DS, that way I dont have to use my Imac all the time,, I have a 2015 Imac, and its in good condition i cloned it to a 2 gb ssd,,,and its fast. but i dont want to buy a new one,,right now or have to put all my plugins and software on a new one,,so I figured the less I use it, the better,, my question is could the MPC-One control the new Roland Juno-DS ? if not i will just buy the fantom,,but rather save a lil money,,

One question, how to make a song from MIDI FA Tracks? When I try to use "Export >> As audio mixdown" my *.wav is empty. Help. I'm MPC Studio Black and MPC Software user. (I use mixer with USB audio device - all is fine when I'm play tracks)
You still have to export the audio from keyboard directly into Daw or MPC X first. It doesn’t bounce sound from keyboard automatically like sounds that are already in MPC

Make sure in each track the record button on MPC is on. And make sure audio monitor input is set to Auto
I'm having the exact same problem with my Roland FA07 and MPC Live 2. I hooked them up EXACTLY like Bolo does...made sure all the settings were correct on both devices. I get nothing! I see the level bars going up on the MPC but there is no audio. I know it's probably something simple but so far no luck.
Yo guys! I currently have a MPC One with a Model 16. I just ordered the Fantom 06 tonight. Since I have the audio from the MPC going into the Model 16, I'm guessing I just got to plug the Roland into my USB hub with the other devices and run the audio out of the Roland directly into the Model 16? I wonder if I'll even need to run the audio TRS cables? Great video BTW!

Yes, but you won’t be able to play any sounds because the patches are just midi information
Hey Bolo, or anyone else that has these two pieces of gear, I'm having trouble figuring out how to put a synth from the Fantom 06 into the MPC One, and get that synth on the Midi channel 1? On the Fantom 06, the sound is on part 7 in the zone select, but I want it to be on midi 1, not midi 7 or part 7? How do I take the sound from midi 7 to midi 1 or part 1, in order to play it into the midi 1 on the MPC One? I hope this isn't confusing, but I can't figure it out? Is there any way to transfer the channel 7 to channel 1 on the Fantom 06?...SBN RESONATE
