The show was shot aboard USS Enterprise, on the flight deck , while tied up at Pier 12, Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. LOTS and lots of standing for about 4 hours or more, but well worth it. This long era of American and Canadian and our Irish roots of country and folk, bringing so many musicians across each other's paths, blowing each other's minds and all of us non-musucians who "got it" will never be duplicated again in any really comparable way.. if we don't live in the multiverse. Like the last pages of Steppenwolf when the "human gods" rise from the last performances in the MAGIC THEATRE to an existence of playing gags on each up in the afterlife ether.. exalting no more in what they did in life.. but rather cavorting in much of the silliness that they had given up in the process of becoming.

Actually, this was the first of those 3 Concerts. It was called the Coast to Coast to Coast Concert Series... Norfolk, Va. aboard the USS Enterprise, the 2nd Concert was on South Padre Island in Texas, and the 3rd Concert was in Los Angeles, California.

Couldn't agree more Anthony. Heard the original and it was nowhere close to as good. Jewel is incredible and frankly I think being mixed up with Garth Brooks actually made it worse. She can hold her own, but she's not Suzy Bogguss. Needs more STEEL too!!!

I've binge-watched every version of this tune. Suzy Bogguss does the best job with it.
I 100% agree with Anthony Delamont, and thank the poster so much for this new version of Jewel for my eyes and ears to revel in, Crystal did it, Judy did it, what a great song, but Suzy did it best. I was just as wild, in my younger days. Makes me cry every time.

Sometime listen to Ian and Sylvie, who actually wrote it. I saw them perform it at the Ashgrove about fifty years ago, lol. But I personally think they are the best. Couldn't agree more Anthony. Heard the original and it was nowhere close to as good. Jewel is incredible and frankly I think being mixed up with Garth Brooks actually made it worse. She can hold her own, but she's not Suzy Bogguss. Needs more STEEL too!!!
