    There should never be "fact checkers" to start with. But if there are, they should have increased liability for libel and slander. Any false assertion that they make should be automatically assumed to be deliberately defamatory and they should be liable for punitive damages. They are deliberately defaming people under the Orwellian guise of "fact checking".

    What would a top tier barrister say about the Voice? Stuart Wood AM KC, "It is unconscionable that a government would, with full knowledge, put forward a seriously deficient and misleading question, in an attempt to misinform the Australian people at a referendum as critical as the one ahead" (IPA, 12th September, 2023).

    • @VK6AB-
      @VK6AB- ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Voice is part of a six stage strategy, the Voice itself is stage 5 and stage 6 is Makarrata. The aims are clearly stated "A TREATY could include a proper say in decision making, the establishment of a TRUTH commission, REPARATIONS, a financial settlement (such as seeking a PERCENTAGE OF GDP), the resolution of land, water and resources issues, RECOGNITION OF AUTHORITY and CUSTOMARY LAW" (from page 19 of a 26 page document released under FOI (FOI/2223/016) from the National Indigenous Australian Agency, page 1 is titled Uluru statement from the heart [centre justified]) "Makarrata is the culmination of our agenda" from the Uluru Statement from the Heart (page 1).
      So its very clear not only is the Voice a planned assault on democratic principles, not only does it introduce race/cultural identity into the constitution, its part of an agenda that the Prime Minister himself promotes VOICE - TREATY - TRUTH. He even has the T - shirt.
      The National Indigenous Australian Agency (under Linda Burney) has had executive authority to close the gap since 2019. (e) specify the functions of the National Indigenous Australians Agency be as follows: iii. to lead and coordinate the development and implementation of Australia’s Closing the Gap targets in partnership with Indigenous Australians; (Federal register of legislation, C2019G00474).
      I note, life expectancy for Indigenous men increased from 56.6 years in 1999 to 65.6 years in 2018 (change, 9.0 years; 95% CI, 7.9-10.0 years) and from 64.8 to 69.7 years for Indigenous women (4.9 years; 95% CI, 3.2-6.7 years); Med J Aust 2022; 217 (1): 30-35. || doi: 10.5694/mja2.51553
      Moreover the three clauses to be inserted into section 129 of the constitution do not include the words advice, advisory or advise: - i There shall be a body, to be called the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Voice. - ii The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice may make representations to Parliament and the Executive Government on matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. - iii The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws with respect to the composition, functions, powers and procedures of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice (AEC).
      Clearly unique access based on race/cultural identity to all levels of government. Vote NO "it is a ruthless con job" (Greg Craven, The Australian).
      In addition, Stuart Wood AM KC, "It is unconscionable that a government would, with full knowledge, put forward a seriously deficient and misleading question, in an attempt to misinform the Australian people at a referendum as critical as the one ahead" (IPA, 12th September, 2023).

    It's incredible to me that as a society we keep looping back and becoming what we hate, what we fought against and died in order to avoid it happening. We all remember what happened in Germany when warped ideologies where forced on the general populace, guess what, we are doing it right now. So many correlations between then and what's happening now. We have the truth being sacrificed and lies being presented as fact, we have collaborators informing on those that don't toe the line and censorship or worse happening to those that voice dissent. Do some research about how Germany ended up like that, you will see some frightening similarities becoming evident. How long until we have jackbooted thugs dragging people off to 're-education camps', people are already having propaganda forced upon them. We are a terrible species.

    700 is an acceptable sample size relative to the population IF the sample is truly random. The issue is really the difficulty of getting a random sample with this population - many of them don't have phone numbers or stable mailing addresses etc.

    • @spacewater7
      @spacewater7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sample size would probably be questioned if the country it was polled from was Monaco. Especially because of who did the polling and how. The ONLY circumstance I can think of when this could be acceptable is when an incredibly rare disease is involved, but again your sample size MUST REFLECT a significant portion of the effected population. The sample size here would have been like asking A SINGLE CITIZEN of the country of Monaco. 🤐

    • @binaryagenda
      @binaryagenda ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spacewater7 Due to the central limit theorem, the sample size actually does not need to reflect a significant proportion of the population. A properly random sample size of 1000 will have almost exactly the same error rate (95% chance of within 3.1%) whether the population is 1 million or 1 billion or 1 trillion.
      In this case, a random sample size of 700 out of ~1 million gives a 95% probability that the true proportion is within 3.7% of the sample. A sample size of 1000 would have given a 95% probability of the true value being within 3.1%. It's not as though having 300 fewer samples suddenly invalidates everything, it just makes the error bars larger.
      The woman who complained that a majority weren't asked is essentially admitting she has no idea how statistics works, since no political polls ask a majority of the population.
      As I said, the real issue is how do you find a truly random sample here. Just picking random phone numbers is likely to significantly bias the results towards the urban dwelling subgroup.
