Micrologix1400 Troubleshooting - Error Code / Fault Code

- In this video: error code =0289h.
The first 2 digits (02) indicates the error is generated from the second card.
However, please note it can only address the first card generating error. For example, if the 2nd and the 3rd card both are giving error, the code is still 0289h.
See page 402-405 in the below manual for all error codes.

Good video. Could you help me with a question?. I have a micrologix 1400 C series, but the rslogix500 only allows me to program Up to version B.How can i update rslogix to be able to program the micrologix 1400 C series??, thank you very much.
@H89HD: what software do you use to program it? "Rslogix500" version 9.0 and later should work with micrologix 1400 series C.
After connecting PLC through Ethernet and checking on modscan32 , it shows TCP IP terminated. No fault on plc screen. Can you guide me what can be the issue.
@pankajparihar8593: You might want to check the "length" set up on your Modscan32. It cannot be greater than the amount of Modbus registers coming from your PLC. Good luck.

@Ajith: Thank you for subscribing to my channel. From the provided code, I think it’s the memory issue. If you have Rslogix500 software, you can uploaded the existing from the PLC and TRY to clear the fault. Do you have the memory module plugged into your PLC right now. It is what faulted your PLC. Please see page 558 on my provided link in the video description. Good luck.
I got ah major error code 0004h. Cleared fault but now no comms to HMI? Can you help master.
@PURGE-3000: Sorry for the late response but I think your PLC possibly lost the the program and the only way to fix it is to re-download the PLC program to it. Please see page 402 for your reference. Thank you for your support to my channel.

Hi i have error 0006h and plc stops communicating with vfd , please suggest the possible reasons
@tessilesolutions9974: 0006 means "The memory module hardware faulted or the
FAULT memory module is incompatible with the OS." Recommended action from Rockwell is "Upgrade the OS to be compatible with the memory module. Or Obtain a new memory module."
@@SYPHOANG Thanks for your reply. This plc is connected to 5 nos of v1000 yaskawa vfd's. After initializing vfds with default paramaters communication is lost, eventhouh we set all H5 parameters. Comm0 also not flashing in plc, earlier it was flashing. Please give me some lead to solve the issue
@tessilesolutions9974: If comm port indicator is not blinking, there should be no communication. From the provided error code, your PLC has lost the program stored in its memory. You can try to redownload the program to the PLC. If it still is not communicating, it should be time to replace the PLC. Good luck !
Thank you, I will try to download the program. Plc comes to run mode, connects with HMI and all other functions are ok. Only it does not communicate with drive.
@tessilesolutions9974: Have you tried it yet? Does it still have the same error code 0006h while everything is communicating but the drives? If it does NOT have any error code, definitely it should be anything between the drives and the PLC.
I replaced the second card but still the same fault
@WxForecast: your controller might not be programmed to “clear fault” automatically on every “power cycle”. You need to go online with your controller and clear the fault. That’s the only way. Good luck. Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Should you have any more questions please let me know.
@@SYPHOANG Thank you for your help, appreciate! Yes you are right. The controller is flashing red fault and the connected HMI is displaying question marks, I think the program is erased because only if I connect an analogue I/O module the fault never cleared, means the configuration is lost, am I right?
@WxForecast: I think you are right. If your PLC is faulted only and the program still is stored in there, HMI will still show current values right when it got faulted. The values, however, never get changed until the fault is cleared.

@user-wl8kd1jr9k: "04" is for the 4TH expansion module starting from 0 for the PLC itself. "89" means "An expansion I/O module generated an error". My recommendation is to replace your expansion module. Thank you for your support to my channel.
