I wouldn't mind him leaving Naruto and Sasuke nearly as much if he set them up with actual competent sensei. But, no, he completely ignored Sakura and left Naruto, the 9 Tails jinchuriki, in the hands of FUCKING EBISU. You even remember who tf that is? Probably not, because he's a random nobody who did fucking nothing. If he left Naruto with Jiraiya (who he knew pretty well) and Sakura with basically anyone, it wouldn't have been nearly as big an issue

Not only did Kakashi leave Sakura for a month, he taught her nothing for weeks while Sasuke and Naruto were learning to climb the tree. Sakura was just chilling and wasting time. And btw, Might Guy helped build Neji's stamina by having him compete with Lee.

While Naruto and Sasuke were trying to climb trees, Kakashi should have taught Sakura how to walk on water. That would have ensured that her control would have kept pace with their capacity. He could also have taught her the fundamentals of focusing her chakra to gain super strength.

Kakashi reminds me of high level athletes that go on to be coaches and suck at it. When you’re a prodigy, it’s probably frustrating to teach non-prodigies. The inverse is probably why Jiraiya was an incredible teacher.

I mean, he had 1 arch to train team 7 as a team. and in that 1 arch his method of pitching sasuke and naruto against each other for chakra control tree climbing actually did work.
idk, if saying he “sucks” is all that accurate, since the times we do see him taking a teaching roll, he DOES get results.
      -team 7 initiation for teamwork
      -chakra control for tree climbing
-chidori for sasuke and sharingan training

@@midshipman8654 I agree. I just think he’s not very good in comparison to the other teachers. He taught Sakura next to nothing tbh. The reason why Sasuke got so much stronger, I believe, is because he’s a genius like Kakashi (although, far from the same level of genius). I think if he had been Neji’s teacher, he would’ve had similar results, but he struggled to advance his non-prodigious students very much. He was at a bit of a handicap, though, considering Naruto had that extra seal disrupting his chakra and Sakura seemed to be more interested in hanging out with Sasuke than getting stronger.

All the other teams either learn from their clan hyuuga inuzuka aburame or they actually get training and help from their sensei like lee and tenten which you can see how they improve and keep learning new stuff all the time seriously everyone learns new jutsu's constantly or they learn new things because their senseis are atleast competent at it. Kakashi meanwhile... Walk up a tree while I watch and do absolutely NOTHING TO HELP! He only motivated them he didn't explain the technique that well HELL SAKURA HAD TO HELP THEM! SAKURA HARUNO AS A GENIN WAS A BETTER TEACHER THEN FUCKING KAKASHI HATAKE! This isn't about being a prodigy teaching none prodigy this is a complete lack of active teaching which jiraya also has naruto never had a proper teacher EVER everything he did learn he got vague instructions on and then learned by himself.
Think about it rasengan jiraya said do this done with that oh you got help from a cat? cool anyway do this thing done? neat alright now do this step etc and so on because of this people consider naruto being a crappy ninja because he doesn't grow as others should... No it's not that naruto is a great ninja learning the rasengan in a few weeks where it toke jiraya months it's not that he is a crappy ninja it is because he is sorrounded by crappy teachers.
We hear kakashi taught tree walking jiraya taught water walking kakashi actually was good he taught him wind release THEY DIDNT TEACH SHIT! The thing that gets me about the chunin exam is that, while I understand Sasuke needed it more immediately with the match against Gaara just to survive, if Sasuke lost and Naruto went on to face Gaara, Naruto would have been completely unprepared to face him without Jiraya. If everything went to plan without the sand & sound invasion and Ebisu was all Naruto had, Naruto would have gotten got in a match against Gaara. In the case of the chuunin exam I don't think it was Kakashi playing favorites. Two things to remember:
      1) Kakashi knew Sasuke had the cursed seal placed on him by Oro so he wanted to keep a close eye on him both to ensure the cursed seal did not emerge again and to protect Sasuke.

Kakashi made it clear that Iruka had no room to criticize his teaching methods, saying quote "They aren't your students anymore, they're mine,"
Fast-forward to the chunin exams and when Lee is tapping into the 8 gates, Kakashi has the nerve to start criticizing Guy's teaching methods for teaching Lee such a dangerous technique, while also having his woefully underprepared students participating in the same environment and the only reason they managed to make it that far is mostly by sheer luck, lol.

Guy was the one who did the best : Perfected Neji's moves , taught Lee something that would change his life , made Tenten use her weak powers to the farthest extent so that she doesn't end up dead... I'd have had Naruto arrive back at Konoha already a perfect Sage, with the Rasenshuriken already throwable. And he would have fully mastered control of the V1 Nine Tails Cloak, but have hit a wall. Sakura would fill her Byakuya Seal during the mission to Tenshi Bridge, and already have achieved Hashirama Sage Mode via the Hashirama Cell, Tsunade knows about it, knows about Yamato, and Sakura would likely be able to handle and support the first Hokage's living flesh, and Tsunade would know this and would take advantage of like a serious wound Sakura takes during training or on a mission, by healing Hashirama flesh into it. Sasuke would also have trained in Ryuchi Cave and mastered Snake Sage Mode. All during the Timeskip.

Jiraiya said that Minato was such a prodigy he didn't really need any training, that meant Minato didn't know how to be a good teacher. Then, Minato's squad was on war time missions and frequently split up. Throw in that Minato died young and couldn't really guide Kakashi, and that even in Anbu, you had Itachi and Yamato as the closet people Kakashi might teach, and Kakashi really just had no good feedback to learn how to be a teacher from either his days as a student or a teacher. The reason Kakashi spent so much time with Sasuke was because he was monitoring him.

Orochimaru & Kabuto tried to abduct him on individual occasions and both failed due to Kakashi’s protection. It took the sound four waiting for Kakashi to disappear for them to finally win Sasuke over.
I wouldn’t say he failed Sakura. It’s because of his dark Genjutsu during the bell test that she even bothered to learn how to repel Genjutsu (Chapter 116, page 17). He definitely could have taught her more but as you understand circumstances were obviously not in his favor. Knowing Orochimaru’s ambitions, he had to look out for Sasuke.

Kakashi's biggest mistake with Sasuke is that he never shared his history with him. Kakashi saw himself in Sasuke, but Sasuke didn't have the knowledge to see that parallel. He didn't know how or why Kakashi had a Sharingan, only that it pissed him off that he did. He didn't know Kakashi lost his team or how that happened. He didn't know that Kakashi was forced to kill his best friends. He didn't know Kakashi lost his family (and the prominence of his family name) or that it was instigated by the village. He didn't know that Kakashi spent nearly decade living in the darkest aspects of the ninja world. All he saw was a guy who kept his distance, was preachy, and that seemed like he stole an eye from one of Sasuke's family members.

Just the audacity, when he taught Sasuke chidori, the guy who wanted power for revenged. Meanwhile, Naruto might be a knucklehead, but his morals was in the right. It seemed like he just really didn't know what to say after that. Or how to get the words out. Heck, if he had just said, "How do you think I got this eye?" After that, Sasuke would've been attached to Kakashi like a clingy girlfriend who just discovered super glue, lol. Would've also been a great chance to do the Team Minato flashback, Sasuke could've been properly kidnapped, and then intoxicated by the power released from curse mark after he got out of the box that he only left because he was literally drunk on power/hypnotized by it. So it would be less of Kakashi's failure and more of Orochimaru's cunning. Then, even after coming out of the trance, Sasuke would be too tempted by the power-ups and techniques that Orochimaru already started teaching him and he'd have already been a rogue ninja because he attacked Naruto while power-drunk/hypnotized, and like how Kakashi brought Naruto away after the battle, Sasuke could walked just a few feet away doubting himself and what he did and faint before Orochimaru himself picked up Sasuke before Kakashi arrived, or at the same time, they stared each other down before Orochimaru disappears with Sasuke and Kakashi can't pursue because he has to save Naruto.

Like this, for example, cut back to Kakashi and Sasuke in front of the monument with the name of the shinobi that died for the leaf, to make it even clearer that yeah, Kakashi's loved one(s) died FOR the leaf. It may even bring the whole, Sasuke wondering what a village truly is, from much longer roots, upon seeing the personnal cost it takes, all the lives that died. Plus, I doubt Obito was the only Uchiha whose name was wrote there, so bonus point, have Sasuke either search how those had died, since they are distant relatives, poking a small curiosity for the lives of distant cousins, or just... have a scene where Sasuke sees Obito's name and learns from Kakashi they were teammates.
Because, the moent you hear "Kakashi was on the same team as a now dead member of the Uchiha" you can click. That the sharigan, is the eye of his dead friend. The best thing about Kakashi's peers when it comes to their mentor-ships in part 1 is that all of their students all got clear development in some way, yet the audience sees very little of it besides a select few instances, mostly during the chunin exam fights. Yet, it's still rather believable and safe to assume that most of their development came from their teachers. Meanwhile team 7 is the team the audience spends the most time with and yet they feel like they receive the least amount of development from their teacher. They do develop, of course, but most of that development often feels like stuff they came up with on their own or shit they made up on the fly as oppose to any really, considerable input from their teacher. The prelim fight arc in particular is always interesting to me for this reason. Every other teacher during those fights usually displays very intimate knowledge about their student's strengths and weaknesses during their respective fights, at least everyone except for Kakashi, who, during those fights often acts as in info dump, knowing more about ANOTHER student's techniques than his own students.

Man you are spitting nothing but facts. I’ve said many times that if Kakashi actually told Sasuke his life story and the lessons he has learned from his experiences, I really feel like he would have been able to get through to Sasuke. This includes how he got his sharingan and what it symbolises for him, the fact that he actually worked alongside Itachi in the anbu just to show that he has a personal investment in Sasuke’s wellbeing etc. There is so much Sasuke wouldn’t know about his clan so even hearing stories about other members would solidify their relationship as sensei and student.
Even if he can’t stop Sasuke from pursuing Itachi, he should have at least been able to keep him in the village (yes I know that the curse mark made Sasuke more subservient to the will of Orochimaru, but it’s unclear how much of an impact that really had given that Kakashi had partially sealed it away. I think it’s pretty clear that meeting Itachi again was the main reason he sought Orochimaru out after seeing the power disparity.
Likewise with Naruto, I really think Naruto would have benefitted from knowing Kakashi’s life story, including the fact that his sensei, the 4th Hokage, is Naruto’s father. Re-assure Naruto that he is capable of achieving his dream if he remembers what’s important, and then teaches him a variety of useful jutsu including changes in chakra nature; him not knowing that until shippuden is criminal. It’s also kinda wild that Kakashi knew the rasengan the whole time and never used it, nor thought it would be a good jutsu to teach, yes it’s pretty advanced, but there’s no harm in demonstrating it to give Naruto something to focus towards.
And finally Sakura. Teach her ANYTHING. Any kind of offensive jutsu would be nice. Maybe tell her details about Naruto and Sasuke to help her understanfing the burdens they hold. She came from a non-shinobi, 2 parent household, and it clearly made her incapable of understanding the cutthroat nature of the world she was stepping into. Just do way more to guide her growth as a kunoichi.

The other thing that isn't considered in this video is that after Orochimaru's invasion and the death of Hiruzen, the village was short on elite ninja staff, so Kakashi was going on other missions on behalf of the village at this time on top of his duties as a sensei, and as the strongest non-Anbu Jonin in the village with a specialty in tracking, Kakashi was probably sent on several A-class or S-class missions by himself. Great analysis over all, I just have a few objections. First, the tree climbing exercise allowed Sakura to hold her own against Ino, by making her use chakra to boost her speed in combination with her clones. It is also a great exercise to teach Naruto as he struggles with the basics.
When it comes to Naruto, he correctly identified that his biggest source of motivation was his rivalry with Sasuke and used it several times to fuel Naruto's growth to great effect.
Kakashi did not simply teach Sasuke the chidori because of favoritism. He correctly identified that Sasuke would be drawn to the power of the curse mark and that he needed to teach him something big to convince him to rely only on his own strength.
Also, his speech to Sasuke seemed fairly effective and letting him on his own to reflect on it was the correct strategy, he was just unfortunate that the sound 4 screwed everything up.
The comparison to Guy's team is unfair. Neji was not convinced by Guy, but mostly by a combination of Naruto and his father's letter. Sure, Guy taught more to his team than Kakashi did, but he had a full year of relative quiet with normal missions to teach them in ideal circumstances. Kakashi had almost no time before the chunin exam, and he spent a lot of that time recovering in bed. After the exam and the attack on the village, he was on important missions all the time. Then, his pupils just left, so it's not like he had a lot of time to teach them.
Basically, he sure could have done a much better job, but there are a few attenuating factors

Im not here to respond to the other info u put down but specifically the speech, kakashi was 100% wrong in what he did only good thing was his original intention, lets dissect
He scolded Sasuke for using a jutsu of killing intent yet naruto did the same and kakashi said nothing, He said forget about revenge which is actually a really brain dead and ignorant statement, in general but especially someone damaged and justified like sasuke, makes everything all that worse, then didn't really relate to sasuke all he said is he lost people, doesn't make things better, sasuke didn't just lose people its how he lost them, to his brother, his brother thats still alive and tortured sasuke a second time, sasuke saw itachi not just as someone he needs to get revenge on but also as a threat, clearly the leaf are usleess, Sasuke probably expected itachi to come back for round 3, then the curse mark thats just hindering sasukes abilities, kakashis only idea was seal and restrain it which is pointless, ankos a trash ninja with a restrained curse mark that hinders her why would sasuke wanna be that, only option was orochimaru, jiraya is stronger than orochimaru, they easily coulda set up SOME typa meetup for a solution on this curse mark, orochimaru even made a deal with tsunade for healing his arms, kakashi doesn't even teach sasuke other copied jutsus, rock lees kick is something he did before the training and then all he did was i guess copy rock lees speed during the training which isn't even Kakashis idea, anyways so not only is kakashis talk brain dead, the sound 4 jump and beat sasuke and even they are more convincing than kakashi, that should tell you enough, if kakashis conversation was actually not stupid, then sasuke woulda just saw the sound 4, as these punks who are slaves to orochimaru, he woulda yelled so kakashi can save him, but he was quite and related to them, and saw them as people who took advantage of orochimaru, kakashi failed as a sensei, even someone like might guy who has no jutsu, if sasuke was under him in part 1 with mastery of hidden gates and the high speed, sasuke would be insane plus the sharingan, even jiraya would be a better teacher

Exactly! Kakashi wasn’t just in charge of them. He was also probably the #1 junnin of the entire village and had to do a lot of overtime. Being in charge of those 3 was more like a special mission than just becoming their sensei. The villages jinchuriki plus the last uchiha promising to be as good as Itachi, plus the most skilled at chakra control student on paper… seems to me that it was a special mission more than a random daily assignment. Too many things at stake. Plus no time for rest.
Also remember that Naruto had that seal and couldn’t really control his chakra until Jiraiya removed it! So trying to teach him a lot of jutsu was probably not easy.

The Show even points out the Jutsu in question is great for doing different things at the same time with a good example is in SHippuden. That's what a cohesive unit looks like . Jiraiya always taught Naruto compassion and not to give up on people, Tsunade taught Sakura to care about others in a more hands-on approach; getting her ass down and care for sick people. It should have been something he should have shown on the first day and tell them to preactice it on their own after they did their missions for the day.
By the time they left for Wave, they probably could have already started with water walking and he could have done everything else the exact same way he did in canon.
Quite frankly during the mission was probably a horrible time to teach tree walking, even if they expected Zabuza to be out for a few days, they still should have expected others to be sent after the bridge builder, that's not exactly the time where Sasuke and Naruto should have done exercises that left them rather exhausted each day.

I think Kakashi was a good "starter" sensei lol. But I agree with your assessment that he didn't really develop his students' as fully formed ninja, in different regards. The most obvious instance is with Sasuke; as you mentioned, he turned Sasuke into a more dangerous person by teaching him chidori; rather than potentially heading off Sasuke's grab for power by going rogue. As for Sakura, I always thought it was weird that she was never instructed in genjutsu, but then again, Kakashi was never really interested in her anyway. He also definitely could've worked on giving her actual combat abilities (abilities that wouldn't have relied so much on evasion, which while helpful for her role as a medical ninja, which was to stay alive. In situations where Sakura chose to take the offensive, she wasn't prepared and was quickly countered. During the fight with the Hidden Cloud Nin in Shippuden and the Fourth Great War Arc when she tried to attack Madara, after Kakashi talked about his infallible skill of team work). Which also would've addressed Sakura's emotional desire to not be a burden to either of her teammates, and wouldn't have made her as helpless during the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. And lastly, Naruto. I feel like there's a lot of development that just didn't happen between Naruto and Kakashi, especially emotionally. Naruto was a kid that for all of younger years, pre shinobi academy was an outcast with no rhyme or reason and then he finally gets a sensei in Iruka who had a connection to him (I believe Iruka's parents were killed during Nine Tail's attack on the village). Not only that, but then he gets Kakashi, this weird dude, who knows a whole lot about Naruto and where he came from, his past etc. (like everybody in the village who were shinobi during Minato's Hokage days). Moreover, while Naruto may not have had the visual prowess of the sharingan or as great of Chakra control as Sakura, he had so much more Chakra (from being an Uzumaki and the Nine Tails' Jinjuriki). So many jutsu that Naruto could've been taught. But with Naruto, Kakashi spilling the beans on his past, wouldn't have made for an entertaining and worthwhile story; so I digress.
I think Kakashi as you said is an example of a good person, put in a tough situation, and not equipped particularly with the soft skills necessary to do the job effectively.
In summation, great video, and this is all the more reason why Jonin need training in child & adolescent development to understand the kids they are teaching. Also more mental health resources for struggling Ninja, a theme I think you linked rather well between your ad and Kakashi's real struggles with his guilt over everyone he failed to protect. Amazing video! 👏

I doubt all the students Kakashi failed before simply had their whole shinobi careers be over just like that, and even if so the higher-ups wouldn't want to waste the village's last Uchiha.
Imagine if after getting flunked by Kakashi and learning the lesson on teamwork and unity after the fact, Naruto convinces the other two to stick with him as their own team anyway and try to teach themselves unofficially. They try to do their own research, get pointers from the other genin teams and start experimenting with new and creative uses of jutsus that no one else thought of. @@user-ov1lq8sp6i yh but kakashi, encouraged it and still gave them his blessing to go (accept sasuke lol) he also had the hardest kid to deal with in sasuke he was NEVER gonna stay in the village or be a good student to anyone. Team 7 needed those specific teachers to reach their levels but without the foundation that kakashi instilled, they might not of achieved the things they did or have the bonds they had (maybe not sasuke lol)

I like to think that the main reason Kakashi was a bad sensei is because he expected his students to be ambitious and motivated enough to progress on their own. Being the son of someone like the White Fang, it makes sense that he would hold others to higher standards and aspirations than they hold themselves to (like we saw in the episodes when him and Obito were young).

Kakashi needed a therapist. He didn't know how to emote or connect to anyone. He just did his job minimally. His smartest move was sending Naruto to another teacher. He knew he wasn't the best at it.
He also didn't really care about anyone on his team cuz he was emotionally dead. That much is consistent in the story.
Also he doesn't use genjutsu. Sharingan shreds his chakra or something. In that regard, danzo was like a nut. He probably couldn't teach it to Sakura. Her fundamentals were fine. She was going to be a fine shinobi anyway. She just didn't have a thing yet.

Finally someone spoke about kakashi being a bad teacher, i do recognize him as a cool character and a strong one. But i never liked him.. Not that i hated him but i just didnt like him. And the reason is because i was invested in naruto growth in the anime and i was furious that kakashi wasnt in his life.. Naruto was always alone.. When jirayia died everyone started caring about naruto mental health but still kakashi didnt really step up in helping naruto grow and prepare him (emotionally and physically for the potential fights with pain) he just kept disappearing instead of staying with naruto(he can protect and train naruto at the same time) he was the only one who can keep him safe. Naruto as the ten tails vessel and konoha bigest weapon didnt get the proper training from the village LEADERS. Its like they kept him as stray dog

Idk about this one boss. Naruto went with his “Godfather” basically, I feel that was always going to be the case especially with him needing to learn to control the nine tails. Sasuke left on his own fruition to become stronger, faster because he was impatient. Sakura had no choice but to seek another Sensei in the time they were gone. And she chose a hell of a sensei

Team 7's first real mission where they had to protect the bridge builder and fought Zabuza should've been a true wake up call for him. Over both fights we saw that Sasuke was carrying the team, Naruto was having issues controlling the nine tails and Sakura was genuinely dead weight to the point where Sasuke and Naruto had to protect her as well as the bridge builder. They got extremely lucky in the chunin exams with Orochimaru wanting Sasuke alive and sparing them, Sasuke's curse mark activating when Sakura 'fought' the sound ninja and that they never encountered Gaara throughout the exam. If all of team decided to stay with Kakashi, Sakura would've died on a mission, Naruto may have been captured by the Akatsuki and Orochimaru would've taken Sasuke's body (no homo).

I also just want to bring up that not only did they decide to put the trauma-matured killing machine into a teaching role, but they also decided that he should be the one teaching the last reamining Ushiha, a boy filled with maybe more hatred than Kakashi, and the LIVING NUKE which has almost only ever experienced hatred.
Putting Naruto and Sasuke in one team is a stupid enough decision, but assigning Kakshi out of all people makes me believe that the idea here was that Hiruzen WANTED Sasuke and Naruto to fail as Kakashi usually fails his students. He thew in Sakura because she's from a nameless family and no one would complain about iti f she fails.
Seriously, the only way the roster of Team 7 makes sense is when you assume that Hiruzen hoped to stop the last Ushiha and the Living Nuke from becoming ninjas and Sakura was clanless colleteral damage in this plan.

At first I was like "No wth are you talking about, especially the part about the 3 students being taught by other, more suitable teachers - that's actually a very good and thoughtfull thing a good sensei would do, pass his students off to more suitable teachers that match their skills better" then I realised ... Kakashi had nothing to do with this. Would've been a great show of teaching if it was Kakashi who nudged especially Sakura and Naruto towards their Sannin counterpart, but Naruto meeting and being taking care of by Jiraiya was more or less a stroke of luck, and Sakura seeked out Tsunade on her own; and well Kakashi rightfully tried to prevent Sasuke from joinging with Orochimaru.
As I said: Would've been cool to have at least the seed planted pre- timeskip for Kakashi intending to send Naruto and Sakura towards better suited teachers as in the Sanin, showing him understand that with their great potential and his mediocre to subpar teaching skills and motivation, they would be better off.
After all it is quite fitting though, as we know that Kakashi mainly became a teacher on the Hokage's order, since he was just getting more edgy and depressed as an ANBU. He then ONLY focussed on the "teamwork" aspect and as soon as he found one team in YEARS and dozens of academy students, he called it a day and stopped teaching. Weird

Yea i fully agree, i’ve said this plenty of times especially after watching part 1. Kakashi did absolutely nothing for them aside from Sasuke. Both Naruto and Sasuke made it to the final rounds and he only took time to personally train Sasuke, not even try and check up on Naruto. And Sakura just got the shortest end of the stick cause he did nothing to try and boost her confidence and fighting spirit whatsoever. Each of his three students only started to bloom after they each left him.

  • @michaelwhittaker5537
    @michaelwhittaker5537 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I do think for the Chunin exams there were mitigating circumstances - Gaara was a stone cold sociopath and would’ve likely killed Sasuke if he could’ve. Naruto was fighting Neji, who as another leaf Shinobi was unlikely to kill a comrade, and Sakura was fighting no one. Sasuke’s life was on the line, and he was the priority.
Kakashi saw that Lee’s blinding speed was enough to shake Gaara but even with a 5th Gate Amp wasn’t able to generate enough force to damage him.
But Gaara’s sand shield is at least partly derived from Earth release, which is weak to Lightning release. And Chidori is an assassination technique that is itself perfect for piercing through an armored target. Sasuke may only get one or two shots with it, but those shots could kill or wound Gaara, which was the only way he could survive.
Buffing Sasuke’s taijutsu was enough to avoid him being sand coffin’d, and the Chidori might’ve been necessary to pierce Gaara’s defenses - a less powerful lightning Jutsu might’ve been more versatile but less effective, since even Chidori only barely broke through Gaara’s sand dome so they may have been totally useless.
It seems like Kakashi made the best possible use of that month to give Sasuke the tools he needed to live.
He did recruit Ebisu, who is allegedly one of the best teachers in the village, to tutor Naruto. We don’t see him making any arrangements for Sakura but I think it’s unfair to say he didn’t - the series is from Naruto’s POV and we don’t always see what everyone else is doing. I think it’s more likely that she was trained by someone but didn’t make any plot relevant progress in a month’s time.

He was the worst teacher because he was the worst emotionally. He been through more than anybody in the series. Kakashi story represents in a lot of ways the the path from trauma to life above it. He goes through all the stages. It’s not until he comes, literally face to face with the sources of his trauma, that he heals. When he kinda died and met his father. Yo is mask splitting, revealing obito. Minato coming back to life. Sasuke reuniting with team 7. That’s the real answer to how a person heals. You have to come face to face with the source of your traumas. You can do that journey yourself, or you can get a therapist who’s trained in uprooting some of that. Then, you know what you’ll need after that, a whole lot of love to fill the uprooted soil. That love comes from God. Who loves us with an everlasting love, and draws us with his own loving kindness.

  • @Golad-ToA90
    @Golad-ToA90 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Given that Kakashi had a really messed up childhood; abandoned by his father due to suicide, feeling responsible for Obito’s death, being directly responsible for Rin’s death and feeling guilty that he was powerless to help save his sensei, I don’t think he did all that terrible. I mean Hiruzen’s favorite student, Orochimaru, not only abandoned the village but began experimenting on people from his own village before he left all while Hiruzen was the 3rd hokage. Not to mention that compared to all the other teams from that era, team 7 had the most behavioral problems to overcome. Neji was a close second but still wasn’t as bad as Naruto and Sasuke’s issues. So I mean what exactly was he supposed to do about their issues when he himself had barely come to terms with his own problems. Personally I don’t think that the other squad leaders from the Konoha 13 had as many personal issues as well as squad issues to overcome as Kakashi did. And let’s not forget that Neji began to overcome his issues because of Naruto not Guy.

Thanks a lot for the video! It's something that has been bugging me forever. I kept hearing how great of a sensei Kakashi was, while I always saw the exact opposite. Realistically, if not for the other teachers stepping in, his own genin were well on the paths of a possible tragedy. It's a teacher's duty to help their students grow, but it becomes even more of a pressing matter - a literal life or death - when it comes to shinobi.
I like Kakashi as a character, but he is a massive failure as a teacher - even a literal hazard to their lives in his avoidance to guide them.
One thing though. I would argue that Sakura isn't the only person of Konoha 12 without clan's teachings. For all purposes, Naruto is in the same boat, since he had no one to teach him in his childhood either. He does have his clan name, but that's literally all he has clan-related. Actually, I don't think he ever learns anything related to his clan, ever. Which I think is a big shame and a wasted potential, since the legacy of Uzushio is well and truely gone this way, without ever being even properly adressed.

    There are several issues
1 he did teach them to walk on water .
2 Sakura was flat out written poorly , she was a genjutsu specialist. Never used it once
3 Naruto had 2 seals, which disrupt his Chakra network . It's mentioned that susake would need to put the fox under genjutsu. Kakashi knew this due to Rn not being able to contain the 3 tails . So what jutsu could naruto learn without the rasangan and sage mode ? It's noted that wind style is rare. Now add no mom or dad , maybe a wind style user . Then break down the other 4 elements. If the other 4 elements you get Gara. Haku. A fire user and no Chakra as lighting and wind cancel each other out

It was never a secret that Kakashi was a lousy teacher. He was notorious for rejecting every team of genin that was assigned to him. His talents would've gone to waste anyway, teaching a bunch of genin how to fight. His value was best served protecting the village.

My all-time favorite part of this is what I call the Shadow Clone Plot Hole. Everyone knows that Naruto can use the Kage Bushin from day one. Its his one actual technique until he hooks up with Jiraya. And yet Kakashi waits all the way until Shippuden to teach Naruto that his signature fucking technique has a huge extra bonus in recon and cutting down on training time.

Maybe Kakashi saw Rin in Sakura and didn't teach her anything frightened for her putting herself at risk.

In kakashi’s defence the plot has a lot to do with it. Sasuke needed to leave the village for the sake of plot, and the students needed to find the sanin because 1: so Naruto could learn sage and Sakura could become a medical ninja and 2: to introduce the sanin(mainly Jiraya but he finds tsunade so I count it). The plot even made it that kakashi was sent on a mission when sasuke escapes so he couldn’t intervene with plot, and its evident that he would intervene coz when he finds out he goes straight to the final valley.
In my final defence, kakashi mentions that the Chunin exams were quite sudden when informed by the 3rd hokage. In fact when he tells the squad about it, he said it happens in 5 days. U could still make the argument that he should’ve trained them in those five days however no other Sensei did that either prior to the Chunin exams. I’d like to add that kakashi left Naruto with that other sensei(forgot the name) after acknowledging he’s gotten stronger before he went to go train sasuke, and I assume he didn’t train Sakura coz she didn’t have the final round to prepare for coz she didn’t pass.
In my final final defence, kakashi got a bad hand. coz despite their teamwork, a lot of the time all three of them would bicker. No other squad had members that quite literally wanted to kill each other like Naruto and sasuke, and no one had anyone as useless as Sakura(no offence), not to mention she was obsessed with sasuke for quite a bit.
I will admit he hadn’t EVER attempted to train sakura one on one at anytime in the show(that I can think of).

    17:10 People that abandoned Konoha:
Madara, Itachi(secret mission but still), Obito, Sasuke....
But You have to remember that Kakashi had multiple secret missions about his gennin team, that probably got in the way.
He had to watch over Sasuke as the last survivor, he had to manage info about Naruto with Jiraya...
But yeah he didn't seem to try very much before the chuunin exam.. Naruto had to find an actual teaching by himself, with first Ebisu, and then Jiraiya.
I think it speaks more about Sakura that she just chilled and lazied around, after both the tree climbing(she didn't ask for any other training, or do any training by herself), nor did she try to find any temp teacher while Kakashi was busy keeping an eye on Sasuke.
It took Sasuke leaving(and punching her).. as well as Shippuden time skip to make her realize she should get herself a more direct teacher, or be left behind in the dust.

It always seemed to me that Kakashi was not interested in taking on students and was essentially pressured into taking on a team of Genin. He has a long track record of firing his students on day 1. Fucks off for long periods of time to do his own thing, and devotes the bare minimum amount of time into leading training and missions (evidenced by showing up extremely late constantly). He doesn't hate them or want them to fail, he just doesn't care about leading others or teaching. He likes independence. Probably a huge reason he wouldn't accept the Hokage title until pressured into it.
