Whenever I am having a mental health check-in, an imposter syndrome moment… I go to your socials and do your mini tutorials. But equally, I find a pure meditative joy in your 10 workshops. What is art if not an imitation of life… a metaphor for it. I’ve learnt not to judge my art if I feel my art didn’t as well as planned…likewise I’ve learnt not to be too hard on my self… if things I planned didn’t end the way I thought they would. Thank you for sharing your art, an insight into your beautiful soul and thank you for telling us nay showing us to celebrate it all 🫶🏻

I'm pretty good at doing skies but there's always something to learn. I consider myself an early intermediate wc artist and I've heard the term "luminous" and "luminosity" quite a lot, but I liked how you defined it, as the "white showing through." I love simplified definitions that aid in understanding something that can be simple way of thinking about something that can be more complex. Thanks!
Doing this challenge was the first time I used a hair dryer to dry the layers. It's SO MUCH BETTER than waiting for things to air dry, especially since I live in a humid environment. I didn't have the exact colors, but I used Red Fuchsite Genuine on this, and I LOVE how it made the sky (and mountain, because the sparkle gets EVERYWHERE) sparkle.

I think the highest of teachers who can do it by taking out the element of intimidation in their instructions, as well as being mindful of our potential perfectionism. This was my very first painting, and I loved it. Took me a few tries to finish one I liked, but my husband loved it so much he’s put it in a frame and put it on his desk at work! In other words, helpful enough for a *rank* beginner and affirming enough that I’m totally going to keep trying this whole painting thing. Thank you so much!!!

I sent my rendition of Sky Candy to my brother and it arrived at the same time he got an email from a close buddy that his son passed away. He shared it with his friend because it felt like a farewell. That was tearful to us both and also felt a gift. Thanks for guiding me through the process.
