Love everything about the car. I’m in the market for one myself and hopefully I can find one in that clean of condition. That’s a great find!! Enjoy that beautiful car!
I loved the whole time I had it but I moved to a condo DT and have only one parking spot in the building so I needed to consolidate. I traded both my LS and GX in on a 2014 Infiniti QX80 which I'm still smitten with. I'm a big fan of Lexus and Infiniti products, especially as used vehicle buys. I have a vid of my QX80 as well. As a side note, I saw my LS in Seattle where I live. The new owner had purchased it from the dealer where I traded it in at.
If you want to pay for it, you can buy the Grom VLine 2 unit to install in the glove box. It allows you to use wireless Apple CarPlay or wired Android Auto plus any other apps available in the Google Play store all on the stock screen and it doesn’t interfere with any of the stock settings. I just bought it and it works great. I only use it for Apple CarPlay.
I am amazed at how well the interior still looks. That is testament to the engineering, sourcing of materials, craftsmanship, and quality that makes LEXUS so special.
Love you Lexus LS and Gx. I have a 06 ls430 currently 108k miles. Thinking of trading my 05 Tahoe on a 1st edition GX. Something about those older Lexus quality.
400 460 are nice but 430's are just classic.... nice car. The nav is about the only thing that didn't age well with this car otherwise still a perfect car.
I've noticed that the larger stabilizer bar has a noticeable affect with reducing body roll in corners Looking forward to 18" wheels and tires in the Fall
@@steviebster1 lots of good information in your video. What do you think about the ride quality difference with the new sway bar and bushings if there is any ? Did you upgrade to 18s and if so does that affect ride quality in anyway on harsher roads in particular ? Thanks !
@@addykumar672 I have an 02 LS430, I bought a set of OEM 18’s and upgraded from my stock 16’s. I have driven about 12k miles on the new 18’s and I don’t notice any change in ride quality whatsoever. The handling is much better though and even more entertaining to drive now!!!
I'm willing to bet, that flashlight and battery has always been there, the past 2 owners just never touched it. Mine is still in it's packaging as well, with the battery expiring all the way back in 2011. Clean ride! Edit: I think the color is Cypress Pearl, not Flint Mica.
Coming from my SL and my wife’s S Class at our east coast home I just bought my first Lexus for our west coast home. An 02 LS430 and I couldn’t be more impressed with an automobile!
Great video Stephen. I have one, and it is far and away the best car I have ever owned. I have recently bought 2 new cars, a VW and a Ford, and they are both rubbish by comparison. I will never sell the LS430. It will [probably be cremated when the family gat rid of me!
Fantastic video. My favourite car brand king of comfort and reliability I recently bought my 7th a GS300 at a bargain price currently owned RX450H and GS300❤️I just subscribe to your channel.
Great detailed review! I’m on the fence between this 04 LS430 with about 80-110k miles or a 07-08 ES350 with similar miles. Considering that mileage The’re both selling for about $8,500 to $11k. Obviously they’re both different size cars , 8 cylinder in the LS and 6 in the ES. Which ever one i buy it will not be a commuter, but will be a daily driver. I currently have a 2013 ES350 which is up for sale on eBay motors, FB marketplace and CarGuru’s. I’m the 2nd owner, it has only 42k miles and is in excellent condition, need to get out of higher car payment and overall debt situation. Need to sell it before i make a move on either a 04 LS430 or a 5th Gen ES350. Considering those 2 What would recommend ?
I'd go with the LS430. The ES doesn't always mask its Camry roots and a lot of that has to do with the FWD platform. The LS is no comparison. It truly is a classy smooth luxury car. It was Lexus' halo sedan meant to compete with the S- class MB, BMW 7 series, Audi A8, Jag XJ, etc
@@steviebster1 thanks ! I’ve nearly watched every review video on TH-cam on the LS430 and the facelifted 04-06 version is the one to get. You get a 6 speed automatic transmission upgraded from the 5 speed and I believe XENON Headlamps. Unfortunately I’m not ready. Need to sell my 2013 ES350 before I make a move.
@@steviebster1 my 2013 ES350 has the Avalon platform with increased wheelbase, slightly larger trunk and is a larger car then the 5th gen. This alone makes sense to go LS.
@@steviebster1 What year is that GS300? My other possibility would be a 2006 GS300 with about 80-110k miles. Looking on CarGurus i see a good one for 10k for with 110k miles. I’d like to not go over $10k if possible. How long have you had that GS300 (i heard you say it was going up for sale, so it maybe gone already) and any major common issues with them ? Love the rear wheel drive setup and the GS is a sportier car.. I might go GS300 instead of LS430..obviously one is a sports sedan and the LS being a complete Luxury “boat”. LOL. I’m only 57 so not quite sure i want to go full bore luxury yet. Not to say the LS’s are for “seniors” but i do like to hit the twisties and drive aggressively once in a while.. certainly cant do that with a LS430
@@stephendibari5010 The LS is more capable in the twisties than you think, especially with 18"wheel? / tire combo. MY GS300Z u is a 2004 with 131K on it. Timing belt and water pump changed at 122K with docs. First owner owned majority of time. I've had it since Oct 2020. Put me tires on it Nov. It drives great. LS though is definitely quicker but the inline six is so smooth.
The beauty is that they are more or less fault free. The models with air suspension can be expensive to repair when the time comes. Also the adjustable steering column can have minor motor faults. But generally, they can do huge mileages without any fuss or nonsense. Plus, a very enjoyable car to drive.
If you don't beat on it like me then it'll last you a long time even though I don't have any major problem like the engine or transmission going out. The most expensive fix that I've done was the getting the ecu replaced 2days ago for around 1.2k, but now the car runs way better than before and stronger but I learned my lesson to stop driving like I can afford a new engine and transmission although they can take a beating. Other than that this car is literally a tank and I love mine to death.
If you want you can hit me up and I can show you what mine looks like that I did in my tape deck for my cell phone to hold it and it's in the perfect spot
