you weren't using the stands correctly, you need to push it all the way to the window and extend the stands all the way.

I just picked up a '23 Tacoma...used, 8K miles. Guy was selling it for a GREAT price and he's an older guy who drives it up North and Back(300 miles) and then drives it down to Florida(From Wisconsin). So I actually knew the seller.
But the cover I have is NEARLY identical, but it has a spring loaded release. I haven't really spent the time to see if it's exactly the same, but...does anyone know what type of cover that would be? I see nothing on it, I DON'T really wanna call the guy and ask him(I bought it through the dealer, but he just happened to know who had owned it and did talk to him in a weird coincidence).

Just got mine 2023 same model, looking for a tonneau cover, I think this one is great, but sold out on its website.😮
I’d give the store a call. I had the same problem but when I called them they actually had plenty.
