1. I still think it fits, since Blight had become so obsessed with pustules that he turned into a feral animal
2. They could of made it so each survivor is infected at the start, so the more tasks they do, the more like the blight they become, if they 3 or 4 tasks, they turn into the blight or die, which actually make the survivors make a strategy rather than just putting on meta perks

Two things
1. I find it really frustrating or satisfying playing him, there’s no in between. I either feel like I need to throw my controller at the tv to vent my frustration, or I feel smug and satisfied that I got my lethal dash in so efficiently
2. Rock Lee vs Gara is one of the best fights in the show hands down. Fight me
Frustration is literally every corn map cuz his vision is so goddamn low
To me he is the billy/nurse/huntress kind if you wsnt to play him better be ready to endure some frustration at first, but he is top tier.

I had the same thing happening to me, and what I did that really changed it all for me was play on mouse and keyboard, its sad, but the flicking potential on mouse and keyboard makes the blight way better and more consistent to land rushes with
I really hate when people say a killer is top tier without playing the killer themselves. Like don’t get me wrong. I know with practice he can be really good but after playing with blight I can confidently say that he is a nightmare to play especially since when you swing in rush mode you can’t turn so when I run at a survivor all they do is turn slightly and I miss.
This video is very funny to watch in retrospect. While the Blight certainly had an immensely rough start, as of writing he's generally considered one of the strongest killers in the entire game, second only to the Nurse because Nurse is Nurse.
Arguably blight is even stronger. He has much more map pressure especially with blighted rat & crow addons (yellow and green speed). He can make it across even big maps in 5 rushes.
Sure, he has to play mostly by the rules but if you know how to run tiles as blight, you can't be stopped by anything else expect pure unpredictability.
@@kaakeli222 blight is usually worse because unlike nurse, he is only truly oppressive with A. Good addons (speed/adrenaline vial/either Iri/Alchemist ring), or B. knowledge of his techs, which are faaaar harder than most other killers. Without things like hug-teching, he struggles in tight loops which are trivial for nurse, which means that while still definitely overpowered, playing him without addons is nowhere near as good as playing nurse without addons

@@keeperofthehammer6795 Yes, he's a good killer without addons, but hes power is so much more difficult to get value out of compared to nurse, unless you know all the techs. If you dont have hundreds of hours on blight, you will find many loops where you would be better off not using his power, a situation that nurses are almost never in

@@odysseus5322 Im not, I am just Stating what this series is, and something you may have missed. This Series is largely Satirical, meaning you cant take everything he says seriously, its often a joke.
What you have just described is the typical survivor main
It really shows how flawed the hex totem system is when 4/10 hex perks are covering up those flaws and 3 of those perks need a secondary hex perk to even be slightly useful. Also another 3 hex perks, lullaby, blood favor, and third seal are trash because they're a hex perk in the first place. So only 4/10 hex perks have an actual use.
So the good ones are ruin, devour, haunted grounds, and noed? I think you forgot to mention that in order to be the high risk high reward, they shouldn't only activate when the survivors win, and shouldnt only have an effect after being cleansed, in other words, only devour and ruin, yet devour is such a pain to get up and keep up, it might aswell be just ruin
@@withered1835 I would consider undying a part of that despite it needing another hex it actually has a slight risk of reavling yourself and has great synergy. But yeah, there needs more drawbacks for the survivor, the fact that one of your perks can be removed at zero risk is stupid.

What??? That's so asinine lmao. Bugs just happen dude. You physically can't iron them all out, especially since the game doesn't have a solid foundation to stand on.
@@JustCallMeBandit dude, are you dumb? yes bugs happen, but thats a MAJOR bug... if you are to test a new dbd update you're going to hook someone or be hooked, its a part of the game. I'm not too crtitical of the devs, but that kinda stuff needs to stop happening. if you fuck up its okay, just fix it before you ruin the experience.
A year later, turns out all he needed was a pov change 😂. He’s my favorite killer, I’m a proud blight main, I love how challenging but rewarding he is.
When I heard about him being compared to a pin ball I though he’d fire a projectile that bounced off walls which sounded dope only to find out he was the projectile except he’s a junky and it’s honestly less cool😰

"More interested in hurting you than actually surviving" is too true. I had one match pretty recently where I was able to sacrifice everyone with only one generator being done because the survivors really were THAT focused on being dicks
Take a swing at Marvel's Avengers, do it. I haven't even played the game and I've noticed...
1. The gear system is literally just destiny 2. That system doesn't even work well for destiny 2, when I play that game I do it in spite of the gear system, not because of it.
2. It looks like the iron man has an AoE basic attack string, which most likely will make him meta (unless other characters also have that, but iron man is the only one I've seen)
3. They got ms. marvel's stretching wrong, she has bounce in basic attack strings which makes her look like she doesn't have control over her arms and then no bounce when she becomes super-size.
4. They also got ms. Marvel's stretching wrong so that sometimes it hits an uncanny valley effect. Seriously, the stretching looks worse than the stretching in the Lego games in every way.
5. Enemies scale with you, which is great if you want to play with disparate-progress friends but I suspect it means that you don't actually feel any stronger as you progress.
6. Even just reading the blurb on steam and listening to a few lines from a trailer I can tell that the writing is a giant disaster.
I might be wrong on any or all of these, I haven't played the game, but I also 100% bet you that there's plenty more issues I haven't seen.

For the glitch where you can't hook, I've had too drop the survivor then pick them up again
It's gone now but if you backed up and approached the hook head on it would work

I love his look and his backstory, to be honest it's the only killer to catch my eye. But the gameplay is what ultimately matters and I really hope they can fix his play design so it's more efficient, logical, and smooth. Even if they don't I will most likely still main him. It's kind of like finding an unpolished gem and struggling to find someone with the skill to cut it

This video definitely aged well with Blight being considered one of the top tier killers right now with how quickly he can go from hooking a survivor to entering another chase. The map traversal is insane as Billy but a lot quieter and with the right addons can be a lot faster too

Thinking about the "thematic vs gameplay" argument you made involving Legion made me think... TECHNICALLY the manipulating friends thing you described could be attributed really well to how Legion punishes altruism and makes stuff like healing into a bad idea since they can undo that work so quickly. Just a thought though legion still has so much more potential with the whole 4-people-1-killer thing

The opening was amazing!!!
After a ton of practice, a good blight CAN get hits at loops with his power. Specifically walled tiles like jungle gyms and particularly large fillers. Like, I see no one doing it but his power just feeds you free hits at jungle gyms as long as you don’t fuck up
well theres your mistake. "a ton of practice". the average dbd player has the IQ and attention span of a goldfish, so if they arnt instantly 4king with a killer the day they come out they are bad.

As someone who has played every killer on Xbox and am now on PC and have a P3 Lvl 50 Blight, I can feel how hard it must be to play him on console. Also, the slam hit boxes, I feel you man, they wack
I agree with the whole thematic power ties but with legion I think they were originally going to have a imposter situation with the mask when you put it on you can attack and when it’s off you can sabotage gens by failing skill checks or planting more skill checks but then very late in development they had to scratch it as it wouldn’t fit dead by daylight score gameplay of stab stab run away from stab person

I really like this killer.
Compound 33 is actually a very good addon because once you break the pallet you basically get the Rush Token back instantly. So you can just instantly zip off after the guy who threw the pallet, who also made less distance due to the Hindered effect.
Also, I'm addicted to using both Speed addons. By the fifth bump you're going at 345% speed.........Nurse blinks at 333% speed. If you think you have any chance of reacting to Blight coming at THAT speed, then you must play 15 dimensional chess. But it does take a LOT of practice to actually become good at landing shots/routing at that speed. Totally worth it tho to be able to cross the map in like 7 seconds and see everything whiz by at turbo speed.

Here’s a way to play the blight and more fun playing as him. When you slam into a wall and then lethal rush, do it when you find a survivor. If you can’t reach them from the lethal rush, attack early. Yes, you will miss, but, because the survivor will run from you, you can easily find them again. The way I like to use lethal rush is when I know I’m gonna hit someone, so I use it when someone is trying to unhook or has been unhooked, cleansing a totem, repairing a generator, or healing a wounded survivor. The blight is great at map control if you can utilize his rush properly. To be better at blight, you have to release that you can transverse the map in a matter of minutes. Don’t be afraid to use your rush to just run to a generator that someone missed a skill check on. Playing the blight is like playing a game of chest, where you have to think of what your target is going to do before they do it. If you are chasing someone, take the opportunity to slam into the wall, tree, whatever, and observe your surroundings. Find all the escape routes and pathways the target can run to to try and avoid you from downing them. You run faster than a survivor when you rush, but that’s obvious. Don’t focus on getting a lethal rush hit, other wise you’ll get frustrated when a survivor doges your attack and now you have to cool down. Again, don’t be afraid to attack earlier if you know you can’t hit them. It’s alright to chase a survivor normally and not get a lethal rush hit. I personally use lethal rush on injured survivors, cause they are less likely to try a risky dodge, unlike a survivor who is on full health. The best strategy is as follows: down survivors and hook them. Remember after every three hooks, the survivor will instantly be sacrificed. Do your best from keeping survivors healing their teammates from your wounds so you can hook more often. Stalk generator to keep survivors from powering them up so they can escape. If you follow this rule set, you will at least get more than one kill every game.
Blood Favor is in that weird gray area where its underpowered as a hex, but would be overpowered if it were a standalone perk.

The main problem with Blight is the skill ceiling he has vs the outcome you achieve with it. The time it would take to get good with him could be better spent learning a better killer.

Tbh you are, he seriously underestimated some of the ways you can use blight. For one, he destroys at killer shack window. 2. It’s really easy to hit lethal dash now, the hitbox is huge and it helps even more with window hits. He’s also really fun to play against, unlike someone like spirit his counter play and his actual game play are both really fun and equal, so that both sides actually always have a chance. And that chance is based on skill.

I can't believe there are people out there who think this morfo is actually fun to play as. Maybe with compound 21 but now that thing is so nerfed that the effect does almost nothing, and on top of that breaking a pallet while you are on your power is so hard that you'll ended up in cooldown anyways. I played him a lot yesterday with his "best build" and it was a nightmare, specially when I got the coolwind farm or any other open spaced maps, cuz you can't do anything but being a short M1 killer when that happenes. So yeah, I don't really regret buying this chapter, Felix is aweome (not much his perks, but him as a character) and I really like the Blight's perks.

Versed a blight yesterday and never did he rush even once... the perks he had were doing so good for him (undying, ruin, blood favor, and barbecue) that he ended up just camping hooks and letting ruin nonstop annoy the fuck out of us. Rank 9-13 players so that could explain it.

Personally, I feel like he's the new Huntress of console. What I mean by that is that he's really good on pc, but practically unplayable on console.
Except both of them are really easy on console. I’m getting consistent four k’s in green ranks against a lot of purple and low red survivors.

Since the doubled sensitivity, nurse and huntress are actually viable on console . I've been maining them for 2 years and they're actually not that noticable. The only difference is the occasional nurse blink that would be PC available , but on console you cant hit them . Huntress is fine , maybe it's just 2 years of sweating at these girlies
