- It is a long Dead By Daylight video. Because I talked about the entire cast of survivors, I hate every single one, so I don't know why I really did that. You'd really think I'd just have to go "This one is small" or "This one is loud" but I actually had even less to work with.

"rate every survivor" is a pretty hard objective when every single damn one is a skin with more skins for sale
I'd assume it's based off their perks, sound levels, and cosmetics for blending in. Bill for example is extremely loud even when healthy, but his dark colours let him blend in pretty well on some darker grassy maps as well as 2/3 of his personal perks being pretty damn good (BT being imo the most useful perk in the game if everyone has it).
edit: his complaint about exactly this in the video is sort of pretentious given that multiple other content makers were able to cover it no problem, and buying in-game currency is stupid versus just buying the DLC and getting both the killer and survivor.
He is right for the most part but I just found that kinda nitpicky

I agree, survivors should have traits that are specific to them, so they are more than just “pick your favorite skin to play as”. I’m not talking about their different grunts of pain volumes either.
For sure. Like...it doesn't even have to be much..but something that makes them..them. Even if its small..like Dwight might get 5 percent base speed on gen completion. Meg is naturally..5 percent faster walking..I dunno. Thats plain and I literally have put no thought into it....or maybe that they get something extra from their own perks.

I’m new to dead by daylight and it’s very clear to me that it’s def one of the most toxic communities out there. Seems like everyone has an ego in that game. I suck at killer and survivors love to tbag at the gate everytime 😂
@@yobootyhadmeded3022 I'm the same way, I'm pretty bad as killer and survivor but I take losses in stride.. they're really not a big deal. If people scream and get mad at a game they need to stop playing

@@primary2630 I'm the one that screams and rages, and unfortunately I really enjoy this game and don't wanna quit it. If the devs would just accomodate for all this damn toxicity in some way, then maybe the game would be more bearable to play for rageaholics such as myself.

Amazing vid, 48 minutes of both DBD discussion and hilarious comedy. You also manage to throw in serious genuine analysis of how the DBD community’s relationship with itself works, and aren’t afraid to discuss unpopular view points on the game (i.e gens being boring).
Editing is great too, I don’t know how you manage to fit so many creative and unique jokes both into your script and visual presentation. Even little things like ‘yes I will use that Head-On clip as many times as I want’ are both hilarious and match your own style of commentary. You put the extra effort into every joke and it makes me laugh out loud each time.
Sorry for the weirdly long comment, just this is a banger vid and it’s always great to see such high quality content on the platform. Hope it pays off and keep up the great work!
how did you overlook the crazy good perk of Jake's known as Iron Will
As an outsider who just picked up the game like a week ago. Its been Interesting to go down the dbd rabbit hole of youtubers and content. Ive been enjoying the game a lot so far, but it really irks me the wrong way when I play my first match as a killer and went against 2 rank 4 survivors. Ngl, it made me feel awful about playing that side of the game. Everyone I watched online said it would help me to better know and understand how the killer works and thinks. And once I managed to get thru that game and detox from how upsetting it was, I think I enjoyed the game much more after that. As long as i didn't let myself get caught up in my shortcomings and just made sure to try and learn from my losses. I've found that it made the game much easier to deal with when I get dumpstered. Especially once I found those compilations, of all the top teir streamers and pros ALSO getting dumpstered from time to time.
The game is still rather fun regardless of how bad I am at it. Im shit at chases (on both sides) but I still enjoy the game. And I just wanted to say thank you for using the actual names of things and explaining all the terms because while I've been trying to research all the different terminology. Its been rather daunting trying to remember it all. ^-^

I bought it a couple years ago when the Silent Hill chapter was added but have only been playing it a lot lately. I enjoy playing survivor more and really only do killer when I need to complete a challenge, lol.
I am glad the video addressed the toxicity on both sides. I hear a lot about SWF being toxic but I have run into so many more killers that are toxic af

I had a nightmare about this game recently for some reason, there was me, Claudette, Bill and Ash.
The killer was the Trickster and the map was like some kinda of large IKEA store with walls and furniture forming cover for the killer and survivors in a maze like structure.
In the dream it played out like the game would, get hooked, repair gens, run from killer ect. What was scary was it was in first person for me, and the Trickster would taunt us when ever he’s near, get hooked or hit hurt like hell but healing felt really satisfying. Also unlike the other survivors, I could crawl on my hands and feet to move faster at a lower posture. This helped me a lot in the dream. Me and the killer had some weird perks too, like Hex:Brawler which decreased basic hit cool down by 15 percent when totem is alive, but the all totems aura is revealed for 5 seconds after two downs of a survivor, and I had a perk which allowed me to see scratch marks of me and other survivors when in proximity of the killer.
Weird huh?
This sounds more like a fantasy and less like an actual dream. I never had dreams as specific as that. I stopped thinking this could actually happen when you said hex brawler
@@lazyextraboi2228 well it did, I was so terrified on the dream that the last few moments of it were stuck with me for the whole day after, even the weird moments where I climbed into vents to hide from the trickster like I’m in Alien Isolation

For incentivising people to use teachables/other survivors, I have a pretty big recommendation.
For killers and survivors, either permanently add the teachables one at a time in the order you unlock them at levels 20, 25, and 45, or you randomly unlock one of them each time you prestige

I think a good way to make people play different survivors should be just increasing the stats of their own perks when they are using them, like... Everone has 40% healing speed self caring while Claudette has 50%, something like that

I personally want a duos mode for killers. It could reward double the bloodpoints and xp earned as a survivor if you escape. That's 2 killers aswell as twice the difficulty. It would make it more challenging and rewarding for survivors, while also giving killers a good time
I actually like doing generators as well and just trying to do a gen and hitting only greats.

Not only do they bring a specific item,they also have unique attributes like having an upgraded version of an item,or hell have straigth up stat buffs like faster decoding speed or vault slower

Perhaps Leon's power could be that they start with one of their flashbangs from the get go, or perhaps a gun that they can use to stun the killer from a distance.

Call me weird but I use Breakout together with Saboteur since far too many times ive sabotaged a hook just for a killer to go to another hook. Combine this with sprint burst to make sure I get there first and ive gotten a couple dozen face campers lmao
its a bit more complicated than running, healing, doing gens and wasting away on the hook XDD

Yeah. It's not always easy to remember the people on the other side are human too. Sometimes I let the last survivor, or even survivors go after a good chase, sometimes I spend the night AFK'ing every trial until the frustration is gone. This game does things to you.
I personally have a rule. If I 3k and down the fourth survivor? I'll stand still. If they accept their fate, I'll take them to gate or hatch. If they struggle, or if they were toxic all game, it's straight to hook.
Im so glad im not the only person that doesn't hate doing generators

DH= Dead Hard (A perk from David King that’s annoying af)
NOED= No One Escapes Death (An endgame perk that is a bully machine against survivors.
KYF = Kill Your Friends (through customs or you just troll)
STBFL = Save The Best For Last (A perk from Myers/The Shape)
KFC = Couldn’t find this one. Rowby probably knew this and put it for the memes
PWYF = Play With Your Food (another Myers perk)
I play feng min because I’m so genuinely ass at gens
