- Back when I started out Stranger Things was seemingly all I talked about. Dead By Daylight has had the Demogorgon for a year now, so now seems like a good time to complain about him.

I love how he hit so little people with demogorgan's lunge he reused the same clip like 4 times
Demogorgan is my favorite killer due to him being more creature like.

Same, almost everyone else is a human with a motive, I like the fact that the demogorgon is his own deal and rips your face to shreds because he was literally born for it, even if he usually has to pay his deeds to entity too.

I love more monster esque killers like the demogorgan. Hes one of the few killers that genuinely scare me when playing against them. Its the mix of his screeching, lunging and the ability to warp across the map almost instantly

@@figuringkey9417 it makes you a lot faster when charging shred, which is very good.
@@potaatti3174 The main thing is that it bumps your speed while charging over the survivor speed, which means that you get to apply the pressure of shred while still closing the distance.
@@potaatti3174 Yeah, but holding it down pretty much means that the survivors are forced to act unpredictable and avoid any corridors or your shred can instantly activate to hit them, and it also means that they can't gain distance while trying to juke you out, so you can easily catch up for a normal hit.
Rat Liver is a must have add on, it increases the speed at which you move while channeling, allowing you to really easily mind game your lunge

Yujin rat tail is fantastic as well. It makes you set portals twice as fast. Not sure why rowby didn't even mention them and suggested other ones. They're just so clearly the best that it kinda confuses me
@@alranican personally I tend not to need rat's tail, since by the time I run out of portals the match is either won or lost, but you're definitely correct in that it's a very strong add-on as well.

The demogorgon's portal has about as many features/abilities as the actual demogorgon has teeth.

Save The Best For Last is also a great perk for Demogorgon because if you hit the obsession with a shred attack, you will not lose stacks.

- A genetically engineered supervillain with cool sunglasses and a dash grapple called The Mastermind
- a literal animal that digs through the dirt

Did you know the game has a tip calling him SILENT?
I mainly use the demos channel for forcing survivors to go away from pallets and windows out of fear, as long as you use rat liver (by far his best add on) it’s amazing to be able to completely screw over loops
This actually helped me understand how to play demogorgan and what to do

Except he would be able to do that if (and I also play on console) his looking movement weren't like a robot looking around, if he was more fluent with his looking he would hit more with shred, but since he doesn't know that he thinks that the shred is ass

Jibrail Hattar Demogorgon is downplayed by a lot of youtubers. I’m not the best killer at all, and I know Demogorgon is mid tier at best. But I managed to get to rank 1 with him. He’s not a bad killer at all and shred isn’t situational like many people think, it’s almost like another mind game but it’s a bit harder since you can only go one direction.

In stranger things, they wanted to make the Demogorgon like Jaws; music and ambience, then he comes up...
In DBD, the demogorgon has a sounds too! you can hear him a lightyear away with and without TR. if you come out of your portal, undetectable, if survivors have at least one ear, they can hear you coming. so no stealth, not worth it unless its like nemesis and the new generator sounds muffle you

Demo should have gotten what pyramid head ended up getting where you send them to a “hook”
i would love to see more creature like killers like demo and hag. Like i said back on your birthday Xenomorph would be really cool. Although since you dint like liscenced killers we should get some kind if wolf/dog killer
Three things you forgot to mention, demo's best add-on is actually the brown rat liver, which makes charging of the abyss (which was slower than survivors, around nurse speed if I remember correctly) slightly faster than survivors. This allows you to get plenty of shreds that would've otherwise been impossible to land. The other is that well placed shreds will actually slide off of objects, the most being cars. Survivors won't expect this and it'll allow you to get some amazing shred hits. Save the best for last is probably the best on demo because of how easy it is to pull out his special ability, though it's hard as hell to land on console when the survivor is actively dodging it.

Demo's Shred attack is straight up more useful then his portals. From the gameplay you were showing I can see a lot of room for improvement. Try to fake it more when you see survivors attempting to juke you. the cooldown is a lot shorter when you just cancel his shred attack. Just my opinion though. Good video!
I can't agree with that, having a solid 3 gen with the added bonus of the portals stalls out the game so hard and basically wins you it every time. Shred is... okay. It does what it does.
@@williamcalhoun883 It practically makes longer loops unsafe that are normally safe while also allowing Demo to capitalize on survivors being out of position easier.
@@justmonika2345 I mean, that's pretty solid, but it really depends on the loop. If you miss, or they juke you, you're fucked. If they have to specifically walk in a straight line, then yea, it's fantastic, but it does nothing on fairly complicated loops. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad move, it's just that it's come in handy just as much as it's been useless to me.
Plus, my only point really was that shred isn't better than the portals, the portals are ridiculously good at what they do whereas Shred is both incredibly map dependant and situational.
@@williamcalhoun883 Like a lot of other killer moves that are high risk high reward, Shred is better to fake 75% of the time.
@@jibrailhattar190 I see your points, and yea, if a good demo never misses, Shred is pretty solid. Again, I never said it was a bad move. Back to my main point, I'm just saying I don't think it's better than his portals. Bc while Shred is definitely really solid, it's only really saving you a couple of seconds in the open. Loops like shack and what not, it definitely does save a lot of time, IF you're good with the move. But even then, I'm not picking demo for shred, I'm picking demo for portals. The way I see it is, if Demo didn't have shred, he would still be a solid Killer based on his portals alone. If Demo didn't have Portals, Demo would easily be bottom tier if he just had shred. Again, shred isn't bad, the point I was making is that it's not better than his portals, nor that Demo should be picked up based off of shred alone.

I've been playing demo since day one of his launch and I still love him. Not because he's a great killer (he's average at best) but I genuinely have a fun time playing him.
I've been doing more mixing and matching of perks for experimentation and I've never thought about Nemesis and Furtive Chase together...I'm eager to try it.
Note, Mindbreaker has been updated to now also apply Blindness. Not the best, but a pretty good counter for some survivor aura reading builds, and honestly in my opinion, Mindbreaker's passive effects are super useful.

Lichen is actually pretty good, if survivors are going around your portals by objectives its an ez aura read (if they're injured duh)

See the auras of injured survivors when channeling the abyss, in addition to seeing survivors breaking portals
So there's this thing you can do with NOED, Demo, and portals. You secretly place a portal outside the exit gate and place one at the entrance, look to your stupid portal, teleport, then wait for someone to rip away at your entrance portal. When someone is ripping away, Strike.

I agree that Demo is kinda wasted potential. Like I do enjoy him but also wish they really went in on the Upside Down. I’d like to imagine it would’ve worked where the hooks are all in the upside down, and when Demo downs a survivor they’d go there with it when he picks them up. The survivors would then have to interact with multiple rift spots around the map to go into the upside down for the rescue, all the while Demo has free reign to swap dimensions at will, although flipping would leave a portal survivors could use and effectively remove the extra effort of traveling the map in the upside down to and from the hook.

You could use your open face when your about to use shredder and sometimes survivors try to juke you by going left to right and slowing them down and then hit them.
I have been gleefully surprised just How Many times putting two portals next to eachother and crawling through one to use as a dud works on survivors. In my experience, they're not really paying enough attention to consciously note that there is a second portal near the one they're going to cleanse, and almost always forget its there, and when they move on to get a gen or a door - SURPRISE!
Glad to see that the Leprose Leichen got updated and is top tier addon

I personally think that the addons that increase undetectable duration are useless against people with ears, as he literally tells you when he teleports and you can hear his footsteps from what feels like a mile away, so most people will realize that you’re near them and are heading to the gen they’re working on.

Demo could’ve been a Freddy clone where he pulls people into the upside down and teleport but the difference between them would be survivors in the upside down can’t be seen by players not in it and they would have to find a way out of the upside down while demo could swap in and out of the upside down

I would like if they would change the portals to work like the vents in among us. It gives him more controle and time to make a move. If he chooses to he can also cancel it for 50% of his charge. With that he can mindgame even more. And of course if they will make it like that they need to make it so that you can look all around while you are in the tunnel, but didn't made a choice yet. This way his red add-on is acctually something he can use for information.
