The violin bit was funny. I know exactly how you feel, some of the stuff I see other TH-camrs doing takes them an hour whereas it takes me a day. I'm also finding it hard to post videos since I'm too occupied actually working on the car. Keep up the good work!

You name it, I’ve checked it. So with 205K, my “reliable” D series might be dead. I’m waiting on a used ECU to arrive and then I will know for sure. This may or may not help but here's an angle. Have watched 2 guys' channels, they both only really service Toyotas, have their channels blow up pretty fast with brand specific videos. One, imo, is really bad, an occasional good tip but mostly the shallowest of content, crappy editing etc. The other has got better game and seems to be covering what all yota lexus fanboys think about. Not sure if there might be a Honda angle for you, but I bet the 'Honda repair' 'best honda' etc. search terms are huge on TH-cam. I think, just a guess, but if you advertised locally as just a single brand shop, wouldn't have to be honda of course, but then you build a client base for many years and stop getting the rando rust heap dropby crap that no one wants to hang parts on. Anyway, thanks for the videos, have a great weekend

    Jon-
Start advertising. Your business will grow, better than before!
You were not "fixing cars", you were keeping dangerous junk alive, for sometimes
    thankless, rude people.
You're in a much better situation now; neighborhood, Clientele and vehicles are more
reputable. Better weather. Way nicer work facilities. I can see you & channel growing soon, just give the economy a chance to regain it's losses, people get money in pockets, after the Holidays. Meanwhile- design & print some Flyers, post on billboards in businesses that allow it. IMO DO NOT PUT UNDER CAR WIPERS. PEOPLE HATE THAT. Places like laundromats, malls, grocery stores, etc. Look into advertising on Google, too! Craigslist is FREE. Please don't make "Shop Tour" videos- don't tell tweakers what you've got! Keep your stuff private. Get security cameras, well hidden, solar powered LTE are a must, around
$200 each, up in a tree, out of sight, out of mind. Take work by called-in appointment only.
Keep out the scum scam artists.

Been doing service advising for 23 years now. Time and time again, whether it was the dealer or indie shop, every time I heard a tech that ventured out on their own to try to run their own shop, be the tech and the writer, it never paid off. Most times they ended up being a 'friends and family' tech. Problem with that, not only did they think blood and friendship paid the bills, but collecting from them and becoming a loan officer went hand in hand with it. Almost having to beg them or threaten them for their rightly due monies. DON'T do it. You will be back working as a tech in a shop in a year. I know this-technicians make HORRIBLE service advisors. They are not people-people and don't know how to work around objections to buying stuff. Plus, in most of the friends and family 'shops', the tech has to bring his heart to the sale. Not good. Having said that, I'm not sure how many bills you have nor do I know what a 'youtuber' can make but I think you're down on both views, likes and subs. Got to look into how to maximize that with 'tricks of the trade'. Got to be some youtubers you can reach out to with similar channels (eric the car guys, etc.) that might have some pointers, or perhaps other off-subject channels that just know what tools to employ to get subs/views up. I wish you well.

The problem with big time youtubers is they don't reply to people. With millions of subs I can't even begin to imagine how many comments and questions they get. I know it's impossible to answer them all. Thank you for your input and your experience.
