Pro tip, enzymes usually have the “-ase” ending, amylase, lactase, etc Glucose is a simple sugar (carbohydrate), like sucrose or fructose. It’s easy to autopilot and see the sugar and instantly think “sweet”, but indeed Beta Amylase is the enzyme you’re looking for. If I remember back, a popular experiment is to eat a plain saltine cracker and keep chewing it until the amylase from your mouth breaks it down into its sweeter components, gradually turning the bland, mushy cracker into a mildly sweet paste. I’ll be damned if I know what the fuck an algebraic spiral is, but the science questions ain’t tripping me up.
I don't think it's a troll, people probably just saw sweet and thought they knew the answer, I remember picking glucose here too, mainly because I didn't know what the other options even were. Not everyone cheats on these questions
Honestly, I don't think this was a troll, just a legitimate fuck up by many players. Glucose is like the one answer everyone recognizes, and the answer corresponds to the question in some way, so mind farts out that its right and you get a ruler to the head because you have to be reminded that Glucose *is not an enzyme.*
@@Olter_ in easy words, its a molecule that make other molecules change faster. Lets say a molecule X become molecule Y in 20 days, an enzyme converts molecule X into molecule Y in minutes or even seconds.

Tbf, this was a gimme. You have a sugar (glucose) when the question asks for an enzyme; and afaik most people know Lactase breaks down lactose (since lactose intolerance is a thing) so the only option remaining is beta-amalyse.
People prolly picked it cause it's synonymous with sweetness. Then you have lactase which is associated with milk. Most wouldn't know beta-amylase so they went with the closest answer. I love trick questions.
Wow that's crazy the majority chose it wrong. I'm up to September in the game and most of my social stats are maxed out, so I can see how end game questions like this most players are just messin'
It surprises me how many people think the collective playerbase somehow got together and chose the wrong answer intentionally. You are now part of the group "trolling" others in to getting it wrong. Did you do that intentionally? Of course not. This is what happened to most people. A handful of people chose the wrong answer day 1 and everyone else followed it, snowballing it in to what you see today.
Bro you can see others answers i always rely on my luck and i always get it wright until junpei get involved and my luck decides to take a nap so i fuck'em up there. I'm sorry junpei you deserve better 😔
Studying Biology in college here! This question is honestly pretty poorly phrased. The Enzyme itself doesn't bring out the sweet flavor when baked because the enzyme is denatured when exposed to extreme temperatures. Beta amylase is what breaks down starch into maltose and that's the sweet flavor potatoes have when baked.
Wait you can use the network for questions? I definitely remember looking at it and being bummed out that I couldn't cheat, network option just wasn't there, did they just need to wait a bit for people to play the game before they added it in?
@@m__two9829 huh weird, I've never lost connection yet in p3r, always used the network to see what other people did but I definitely remember the first thing I went to check was if I could use it for class answers and it wasn't an option, even if you don't have a connection the option would be here it just doesn't work, that's how the p4 and 5 versions worked anyways, what are you playing it on? I had completely no idea. Out of the three choices, glucose would have been my last choice. Seeing everyone picking it convinced me lol
yeah, that fking algebraic spiral gave me ptsd. I mean, I learnt advance calculus I didn't even know wtf that was.
I rememberd protease, amylase, lipase from high school and was elated when I found it was correct. Not bad considering I graduated 24 years ago.

Play the game bro

I didn't, I have a biochem background. 😎

There is some buried memory from school that told me it was A. So when i saw majority of the social picking glucose at C, I knew that was wrong.
I knew that that was the answer was beta but on my second playthrough I still picked the wrong one
This literally happened to me too! I trusted them bastards
Trick answers gotta love them

there's no way I finished the game without realizing you could use the network for classroom answers
I think Persona had this feature since Persona 4 Golden

scientific names for sugars rhyme with "gross"

For me Ms ounishi is the hottest teacher in this game😍
Yeah, I have no idea what Kenji was thinking never bringing her up
There's a "Ask the audience" lifeline?!
Regrettably was sentenced to GCSEs so did know the answer

At least it ain’t a glitch for once. Still salty that more than half of the people were stupid enough to pick this… 🤦
I'm proud to be part of that salt
I remember this happening to me too
I was looking st the choices snd said "beta amylase" also i woultk in the medica field
I would be afraid if you were my doctor considering how you write English tbh (assuming it's your first language, at least)
i just use the mod that adds a star to the right answers

Im in the same boat lol and we're unknowingly making it worse

Yeah, it should as more people play the game
