Just ordered mine because of this!
Cool! Good luck with the install!
Fantastic explanation and work. Thank you.
Glad we could help. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video! Looking to install the RSR super down spring with camber bolts in the front. How do you know how many degrees of negative camber you will be dialing in the front and rear? Is this something I tell the people I'm getting my alignment with? looking for about -2 degrees. Thanks!
Thank you for watching! You should tell the alignment shop that you want -2 in the front. If you follow the method from the video you should be able to get between -2 and -2.5 degrees. The rear does not have adjustable camber unless you install adjustable rear control arms but the lowering springs will give you some negative camber in the rear (the more you lower the car the more negative camber).
how come you installed it in the lower hole, not the upper? Is that to limit camber gain?
Did u notice any slipping over time? Ive had other camber bolts lose the negative camber after a few track days.
No I haven't had issues with slipping but if you are tracking the car it might be a better idea long term to get camber plates instead.
I purchased these a couple months ago and gave up trying to install them. My issue it the nut doesn’t seem to want to thread onto the bolt all the way. Was yours the same way and did you just have resistance while tightening?
There is definitely resistance when tightening the bolt. It does not thread on by hand like the factory bolts. I just made sure they were not cross threaded and kept tightening to 98 foot pounds and all was good.
About to order mine so I can install it with the RSR Super Downs. How much camber do you suggest for daily driving and occasional canyon runs?
Awesome, the RSR Super Downs are a great choice. If you use the method from the video you should be able to achieve between -2 and -2.5 degrees. That should be fine for daily / canyon use. I have not noticed any excess tire wear with these camber settings in this 6 months since I installed the bolts.
Thank you for the input. Great video btw!@@altezzadreams

Great video. Excellent explanation of tools needed and install. Question. If you put the smaller bottom bolt in the bigger top hole won’t there be play and a chance for movement of the bolt even when torqued corrected? Why not install a second camber bolt in the top? Wouldn’t the lobe/cam help prevent any movement in top hole. Goods/bads of this approach? In either case camberbolts going in asap. Thanks for the awesome video.
@@DR-do5gr Yes you are correct, by putting a 14mm bolt in the 16mm hole there is a possiblity of it slipping even when torqued to spec. This is the "quick and dirty" method of getting the max negative camber for the least amount of money. That being said, I have had this setup for 9 months and have not had any issues. I believe it should be fine for spirited street driving / canyon carving but if you are tracking the car I recommend skipping the cam bolts altogether and getting camber plates instead.
