- The Diamond FC may be small in nature but they have figured out how to manage finances and support the community. Chief Mike Wentz shows us around a very organized station with multiple pieces of apparatus. Plus, enlightens the views on options to help support any fire department. Take a minute to check out the station and the unique way the Diamond Fire Department maintains its financial support.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Their station is HUGE! I love the color scheme they have going on. Something about it being named "Diamond Fire Company" and the scheme work well together.
My first due department, South Metro Fire Rescue (Denver, CO suburbs), only uses quint trucks (other than engines, medics, etc.) - they don't even call them quints, they call them Towers. Even their one ladder truck is technically a quint, they just call it a Ladder! They always explain in their @SouthMetroFireRescuePIO videos why they equip their towers and their ladder with tanks and pumps - it's for cases when the truck gets on scene before the engine, that way they can still pull attack lines right away. They have some really nifty stations, too - maybe once they've finished their Station Saturday series, you guys could hit them up, see if they'd like you to do a couple of Station Cribs episodes! I notice that you guys did one for Denver Fire ;-)
What a beautiful wonderful idea. The hall for food and entertainment. The ( Menu) is simple. This night is ( Taco) this night is ( Burgers) you can teach anyone to cook like that. To continue the events. Love the ( BAR) just WOW. You lost building in a fire. Start back up turn it into hall, for service of ( Food) and ( bands) great idea for community. It brings in the People from community, then they become interested in Volunteering.
Such a nice station and vehicles not only that but the staff seem very down to earth. Shoutout from Australia
I love that they start them young at 14 years old, every department should look into do that instead of complaining about staffing shortages.
Yep could not agree more
A quintuple combination pumper or “Quint” is a fire-fighting apparatus that serves the dual purpose of an engine and a ladder truck. Quintuple, or “Quint”refers to the five functions that a quint provides - pump, water tank, fire hose, aerial device, and ground ladders. Each function has to meet minimum standards established by the NFPA for the vehicle to qualify as a Quint. Also, Tillers, or Tractor Drawn Aerials, can have quint features. These are dubbed “Quillers” in some jurisdictions.
Great station and great ideas for fundraising.
get up to station 3 in conneaut lake. same concept but nice being on the lake.
I may or may not know of stations with bar areas... I love the concept of the full service restaurant.
Nice station

Sent to The Bethlehem Township Fire Department in Northampton County
Outstanding! Keep it up! Regards from Spain 😊😊
You should do Millboro va
Just plain awesome
Awesome setup
I give places with low call volume a lot of credit. It has to be hard to keep members interested with the potential down time between calls. My departments run 2,000 and 700 runs a year and I will find my self itching for more runs. So I can only imagine the boredom at times.
If the amount of runs is what interests you un tge fure service as a volunteer then youre an adrenaline junky and not in it for the true reasons in my opinion if you dont join the fire dept to help people then youre joining for the wrong reason the less calls the better because it means someones life is in danger that much less and thats a good feeling on its own
@@molassesflash he’s not an adrenaline junky. We all choose to train and train and want to put our craft to work. No matter what things are going to burn down and people are going to get hurt. Fire/EMS want to work. So yes a low call volume department is stuff to operate and keep members interested.
@@hihfty you choose to train and train and hopefully never use any of that training because everytime you use it is because some one is having a real bad day
@@molassesflash My city ran about 75,000 calls last year. The phone is going to ring no matter what and I’d rather be busy
Absolutely great video.
Love their fundraising ideas.
We could definitely use something else besides bingo for fundraising.
Love it come to Johnsville Ohio to check out station 59

You should review Northamton Fire Department. They are near by
We just need a invite
Nice vid, would you like to go to places like L.A. to see their firehouse´s or maybe go to NY?
I think NY have their own style, their firehouse´s can be a part of another big building...
Just like a garage close to the street. I think they add an add on for Google Earth to find the Firehouse´s around there but i never got it working.
1994 International with a Schwab body .
Man, PA has the coolest stations.
Growing up in the '80s and '90s in the department that I grew up in we took them as young as 16 because you had to have a driver's license and your own personal vehicle and you spent two years as a junior firefighter in which time you received most of your training then when you turned 18 you received your first responder training and were able to remove your green Junior firefighter reflective strips and replace them with the Orange firefighter reflective pyramids on your helmet
Some of the other rules and guidelines while I'm on the topic that they had in place was that you could not actively engage The fire or engage in a rescue unless under an extreme circumstance in which they were the only manpower on the scene in which case they could only engage The fire from outside or prevent the fire from spreading to other adjacent structures until senior firefighters showed up and they were not allowed to perform any rescues of any kind. Such as vehicle extractions etc
pretty much you spent two years as a doboy or girl / gofor (go for) this go (do) that)

Thank you for showing all the different FDs. Around the area. The ( interface) Pumper is a great idea. To have a ( Pump) separate that allows the Engine to ( Drive) and also ( Pump) very important idea, because a regular Pumper once it is in ( Pump ) gear. The Rig can ( NOT) move. I want to do that with my (71) SeaGrave Restoration project. It's ( Pump) is not working. So I'm buying a portable Pump. Double males back into the discharge from bottom of ( 750) gallon tank. Then double Females back into pump plumbing, to flow water out of ( Booster) Reel. It's so fun looking up under a plumbing on my girl, and figure out ways to run ( Water) from tank to a separate Portable pump. Then flow water through pump panal discharge's. A old Engine is so fun to work on. Instead of ( AIR) packs in compartment. Myself fill those spaces with different types of portable Fire Extinguisher
For Education purpose. As kids get in Drivers seat. I love going to public events with the old work horse. She still drives nice. Into (5th.) Gear real fast. It slows itself down fast, so I don't need to down shift.
Thanks for watching. Please continue to spread the word and sharing these. It will help us go visit more companies

WHAT 's INSIDE A BAR / RESTAURANT RUN BY DIAMOND FIRE COMPANY HEROES NEXT DOOR
I hope we can get even old or damage fire helmet for our station :(
I'm not familiar with Fire Police is that the same as Fire Marshalls or Fire investigation? I'm extremely impressed by how this department operates their own way of supporting the community and their department.
No, fire police direct traffic and keep the scene safe from hazards so everyone else can focus on their job
@@jackson7421 oh ok thanks for clearing that up might have to run that by my chief great concept
Take a look at the Bloomsberg video we make some time back. That should help answer the question too
My town used to have a fire police unit about that size but about 3 years back they replaced it with an f-550
I am from Wisconsin, what is fire police and what do they do? We don't have that here.

All we need is an invite. Just send an email to watchheroesnextdoor@gmail.com
Can someone explain what fire police does? Is it traffic control? (Just going by what they where saying.
Please check out th-cam.com/video/wIfc2jDzzq0/w-d-xo.html
What are Fire Police.... Are they duly sworn Fire Fighters and Police Officers or just firefighters who can do traffic control in PA. On the west coast we have Public Safety Officers, Sworn Police Officers and Firefighters.
Basically traffic control officers within the fire department than also control & secure the scene. . They're also used for local fairs and events traffic control and even after high school football games if it's a big enough attended game to need it after the game is over. They as far as I'm aware have no actual police powers but their purpose is to basically free up the LEO manpower so it could be used elsewhere.
Exception to that is the State Police & I think County Sheriff have fire police which are like the fire inspectors/investigators & Fire Marshall and stuff like that.
I might be dump but what is Fire Police? Is tht guys that are police officers and fire fighters in one ?
Check out Bloomsberg video here on the channel we go over that in detail and one of their vehicles
I actually rode in a airport crash truck
