    I disagree with your opinion that Rolex movements are finished better than the Omega 8400 Master Chronometer movement. I thin the reverse is true

      Exactly. From a visual perspective Rolex movements are as plain as they come.

    absolutely the favorite in my collection, but on a light brown leather strap. Looks soooooooo much better "in person" than in any video I have seen it. Classy, fantastic details and finishing, absolutely mesmerizing. Sporty elegance like no other model.

      Would love that strap.. Problem is I love diving.

    I think the „aged“ loom makes the watch look perfect! As I think blue dials look cheap with plain white indecees and white loom as there is the white gold Rolex Submariner or the Tudor Pelagos! I think they did a perfect job at that model. Just my opinion :)

    Tried on this titanium 300MC a week ago. Too expensive but it's extremely lightweight in comparison to the stainless steel model. Looks good too. But i'm gonna be getting the stainless steel model instead.

      @@fluffy_kitten I have the stainless steel now. Bought it a few days ago. Its heavy coz it's steel, but nowhere as heavy as the Planet Ocean. Its about the same weight as my Aqua Terra and I think that's fine.

    I have the titanium version of the Planet Ocean. It is an absolutely spectacular watch! I highly recommend it.

    Tf do you mean have you looked at a Rolex movement before

    I've done a lot of scuba, and I would never take a $9000 watch underwater. Most regulators have a built in timer that starts automatically when you enter the water, so no dive watch is needed. If I ever wanted a backup watch, I'd get a cheap G-Shock or other cheap diver, that if it got trashed, I would not care. Rolex and Omega are luxury watches, and thus jewelry. They might have been tool watches years ago, but only an idiot would buy a $10,000 hammer. If you are one of those very rare professionals that dive with helium, and your life depends on it, then I could see spending the money on a Proplof, or other real dive watch. In reality, the Seamaster 300 would be used in a swimming pool, and you don't care about ruining it. Or you are James Bond and you get your Omegas for free. If you are a recreational diver, and you need to decompress at 15m on the way up, an Omega is not going to do a better job than a cheap watch. Most of the time, you just run out of air, and have to surface long before any safety issues occur. It's too bad you don't mention these obvious points.

      I take my watch diving. Of course just for shits and giggles as I have my dive computer but it's fun to take it and use it as it was intended once upon a time. Those things can take it no problem, nothing to worry about. They encounter way more stress during other more common activities.

    Very beautiful timepiece. In fact You can see this Omega on Daniel Craig wrist's.

    They went so far with that dull yellow vintage look marks, that it really looks like 70 years old watch...

      Yeah, I think it would have been better with non-aged lume. Thanks for the comment!

      The faux petina is polarizing for sure. I'm even torn about it. But the dial and indices are historically accurate, this being an updated vintage homage

    Titanium is not harder than stainless steel. I don’t know where you got that from.

    • @melbguy1
      @melbguy1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Grade 5 Titanium is not pure titanium, but is an alloy. That does make it harder than pure grade 2 titanium. When alloyed with other metals such as aluminium or vanadium, titanium becomes dramatically stronger than many steels. In terms of sheer strength, the best titanium alloys beat low to medium grade stainless steels. However, the highest grade of stainless steel is stronger than titanium alloys. So Zac's claim probably does stand up.

    Maybe great video, but that chewed-off fingernails turned me away. Please consult a manicure service next time. Good luck.

    The dial is very dull, which is in odds to the bezel and bracelet..

    Don’t see how anyone could argue it isn’t a true diver’s watch. The ability to actually take it diving is rarely relevant, especially given that I highly doubt a single owner of this watch would let it anywhere near water.

    • @dstfno
      @dstfno 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Why wouldn't they? It's a dive watch, the least that it means is that you can take it in the water without worrying.

    This watch is not overlooked, it is merely oversized.

    What a stupid thing to say. When you claimed titanium feels like plastic and that you don't like that. What an ignorant remark
    Titanium is a GREAT and underappreciated metal for construction, since it's pretty much as strong as steel but much more lightweight and it's corrosion proof unlike steel
