Hey nice video and very nice radio and set up. Thank you that's is actually a really good and smart idea to replace the cigarette lighter output with a USB port. I was thinking of how to do something like that and never thought of that lol. Now that I have seen how u have done it I'm like oh duh!!

It's those little things that certainly make a difference! I did a similar thing in the expedition console I retrofitted into my F-150. Remove the cigarette lighter and put that in its place in the console.

good idea. does your model also have the power outlet in the glove box? that's where I will install mine so the phone is in the console and you don't see anything.

I had a shaker 500 but having problems getting a wire harness for the 3 connectors for the shaker 500 I am installing an aftermarket player. Which wire harness you used on your new player. It is 3 connectors on my mustang.. I only fine harness with two connectors. What about the 3rd conector?

It's been over 3 years so I don't remember The connectors you're referring to. I don't have a shaker system in mind. I used this harness and I use the same one in my '04 F-150 as well.

Was there a special surround plate//bracket for the new D-Din unit?
And how hard was it to run the cable/power for the rear camera?

Very helpful - thx! I just bought an 06 GT Conv and am going to do this exact procedure, QUESTION: My 'Stang doesn't have the conventional cig lighter there.....it has a silver disc that says "GT". Can I take that off and still install the aux USB port there?

I'm not sure on that, I am only familiar with the one that I have. Not sure if you can find a parts diagram to see how it comes together or just do a little investigation yourself by pulling off the bezel.

yes pretty sure you can pull it out with a trim tool and it will have the same hole

I'm from MA originally and some people say it like that. Literally never noticed until someone made a dopey comment about it in a rude way a couple years ago. And then I started noticing some other people on social media also pronounce it that way. I have no idea why, but that pronunciation is definitely out there by other people as well. I've said both honestly haha
