I hope your kids and your grandkids cherish those magnificent bird houses just as much as you and the public does. You do excellent work absolutely love what you have done. Thank you for being kind to the birds.
Oh man, just discovered your channel! Literally sat up till 2 AM last night watching it...AMAZING!! As a kid I always loved building models and other stuff but have gotten away from it as I got older. I think I need to get back on that horse again, THX so much for your channel!
So beautiful! That would be a wonderful project to do with the grandchildren. My Dad made wood toys with my two boys when they were young. Sometimes they made swords to battle with. Some days they came home with a boat to play with in the bathtub. I sure miss him, love you Dad!💋💕
Iv seen them in huge sizes when I was a kid in the 90s from some that were even made before I was born. Thays cool though on the builds you did much respect and care I see for the birds:)
@@CoolestThing I have successfully raised a Crow, many Doves (my crow ate a few) Ducks and Geese of many variety, and travel sparrows - in South Africa. All were free during the day, but at night we closed their cage (huge Avery) because of bloody cats. Most went on to meet mates and become wild. I searched for so long to find lovely bird houses and then found your video. Thank you so very much for introducing this gentlemen. I'm building all sorts of housing inspired by this video. God bless you kind Sir
Amazing and interesting story. Sorry about the pain. Pain can certainly interfere with us. A great talent you have. I'm building some bird houses for the first timer ever. Not too bad for first tries and little experience woodworking. Enjoyed your video. Carry on as long as you can. God bless.
They are Super cool. It's sad your pains have to get in they way of creating these beautiful structures. If i were a bird and happened to be flying by then saw one of your designs, i would move in right away.
Hey John ...I wish I could give you more than one "like"....I have built a few small ones...just simple stuff ...yours indicate some great talent not just with your hands, but imagining the design of these is a job in itself...thank you for showing us your art work...and for providing shelter for our feathered friends
i worry if there becomes an official world record for this, future builders will ignore craftsmanship in favor of mass volume. that would be sad to see as this man creates beautiful architecture
Damn this guy is the living embodiment of a Buddhist; living in the present, watching the birds, finding peace in his craft. What a beautiful existence.
I live on 10 acres of land my husband builds me birdhouses with shingle roofs then he hands them over to me and I paint them I love all the little birdies that come back each year to nest in my birdhouses.
I just don't understand how they look so perfect. Absolutely no bird waste on or around or even on the ground under. Like a showroom. I love it, don't get me wrong.
These are amazing ! I wonder how you keep the individual bird ‘apartments’ in them clean over the years. Also, how to keep the rooftop pools full of clean water so they don’t get stagnant and slimy like a regular birdbath would do. I’d love to have one of his medium sized ones.
I too have suffered for over 20 years with fibromyalgia, I did 12 treatments of ionic foot detox and have been pain free for many years.. Hope this helps you
I know 2 women who do them that have myasthenia gravis. Both are doing amazing & remaining hospital & med free. One had her 4th child 2.5 years ago & is working fulltime on top of that. She couldn't walk to the end of her driveway prior to that. Must make sure they are legit Ioncleanse units, as there are many copycats that have stolen their studies & tout them as their own.
Love them, but the issue that I see having so much nest in the same area, is that most bird would have to compete for food with all their neighbors. Which would be crazy. I can not imagine these houses staying at higher than 10% of capacity, or maybe birds move out anyway but later they fund out that there is no much food, unless that guy spend a lot on bird food.
The birds that live in them stay all year round . They fill the room solid except the center . They also refresh the center nesting every time they have babies . I only empty them every 8 - 10 years. All the rooms and floors are removable from the bottom of the house.
So wonderful to see you make these beautiful creations for our magnificent feathery friends! Thank you John! I'm curious, do certain species have their preferences when it comes to choosing a house type or size? Do species stick together or can different species like happily in neighbouring rooms in the same house? I do have compassion for your health condition. If I may offer you some of my thoughts on the matter in the hope they might resonate with you and perhaps reduce your suffering to some degree... To put it simply, the human body has two main plumbing systems. The blood is the kitchen and delivers (pipes) fuel to our cells using the heart as a pump. The lymphatic system is the body's sewer system but isn't pressurized like the blood, it relies on the body's motion to move the fluid filled superhighway (lipid/fat based, so flows more easily when warm) of awesome specialized cells that deal with clean-up duties and invaders (your immune system) cell waste is then sent to the filtering and elimination organs. Your lymphatic system is likely very backed up and therefore overly acidic (most cell waste is acidic in nature), as a result your body has systemic inflammation or what some white coats like to label 'fm'. With the SAD (Standard American Diet) this is a very common but COMPLETELY REVERSIBLE situation today with nothing but some manageable diet and lifestyle changes (gulp!). No pill popping necessary. Time to call the plumbers in! Alkalize your diet as much as possible. Just research acidic and alkaline foods and eat more of the alkaline variety whilst dropping as much of the acidic foods you can. Fruits, fruit and more fruit! Most of what we eat is acid-ash based so this change can be a hurdle for some. Excess ENERGY in a HYDRATED, ALKALINE environment and the body can and WILL heal ANYTHING. Some people have mentioned carnivore/keto and yes this can help in the short term due to the extra fat intake that helps quench the acidity of the lymphatic system and can beef up the fat flowing along those highways! Long term carnivores can develop other issues and complications so be very mindful of that going forward. If you're just adding fat to the system but not eliminating the waste efficiently that can lead to issues. Protein is also acidic in nature so reducing your protein intake (from all sources) can offer relief from inflammation. Fun fact - we eat WAY more protein than our bodies can effectively process and make use of, so cut out some of that burden. Besides our bodies MAKE proteins from the amino acids found in fruit for example. We have to break down animal protein FIRST before we can do anything with it. Balance is the key. Being congruent with your beliefs about what is good for you to eat and eating those things is also key (we all deep down know what we SHOULD be eating instead of what we DO eat!) so just HONOUR that inner knowing really! Be HONEST with yourself! Also look up lymphatic drainage exercises here on youtube and make them part of your daily routine. Take warm baths with Epsom salts regularly (and take saunas if possible) to warm up those fat-filled fluid superhighways and get those lanes fast-flowing again. Simply bouncing on a rebounder (mini trampoline) can do wonders to kick start that lymphatic system. Keep moving that body in whatever way excites you! One more thing, sometimes rather than distract ourselves from the pain and plough on with gritted teeth through life. It pays to stop and look the pain in the face and ask it WHAT it is trying to bring to your attention. Pain doesn't happen TO us, it happens FOR us!There is ALWAYS a reason why it SERVES us to have the pain. ENERGY goes where ATTENTION flows, pain is bringing your attention to a part of your body that needs that energy!! Granted this can be overwhelming when your condition is systemic (everywhere) in the body and the pain is all over! Look up Robert Morse ND for a REAL insight into how to get your body healing naturally through food and diet. The Encyclopedia of Ailments and Diseases by Jacques Martel is a wonderful book to have around too. I wish you a swift, fun and rewarding journey back to full and vibrant health John. Blessings. 🙏
Here in North Carolina the squirrels would have a field day with these birdhouses. We have to reinforce the entrance holes with large galvanized washers to stop them from chewing their way in. I have seen the damage to my own houses from them. If they cannot get in that way they are very content to just gnaw off the perches and also the overhang or anything else in their path. The houses are extraordinary, no doubt but the squirrels are an issue that has to be considered. Perhaps his are reinforced or there are less or no squirres where these houses are installed.
