You know - I've always thought Jason is and has been a great drummer, but after watching a few of these new shows, I'm fully prepared to bring him up several notches. He absolutely killed at everything on this show.
Interesting. I wonder why Joe changed up some of the parts of the song. Also, the tempo seemed slower than what he usually plays live. That all said, I would love to be able to make it work to see this tour in person.
Should have stayed with this material, Stach stuff, Sammy solo, HSAS even, and Montrose and left the EVH alone after all the trash talk from Sammy, hope hes happy he told "his side" EVH rules and this cover crap sux
This show was like a Sammy Hagar Show, a Van Halen show, and a Joe Satriani show all in 1.
And of course BONZO through Jason
Damn! Can't believe how good this sounds with Jason and Mike on rhythm!
The one thing Satch Boogie was always missing. Mike on bass.
Love Stu hamm, but yes you're right
He actually butchered it.
Definitely! Mikey pulled out the I’m the One chops for Satch Boogie. Sounded so good on it. 🔥
Stu Hamm is a stud and I saw them with Jonathon Mover on drums.....outstanding. This is good though. No complaints.

Agreed. The timing on satch boogie is very different. He did well.
@@michaelmcnicholas4550 He killed it! Was really impressed with that one. Also was impressed with Mikey on that as well!
he's always been better than you thought. Thing is.......he lays back like his Dad...which confusses people....js #stud
I've always felt Chickenfoot was/is the supergroup of recent times. So much talent on that stage!
Joe worked with EVH on 5150, Sammy found out many years later and contacted Joe, Chickenfoot was created...
@@davehorlacher where did you hear this...?
@@davehorlacher Yep, he went there to ask Ed how to write a song.
You cant touch this musicianship
Oh HECK YA! Just saw Satch and Vai so now give me MORE!❤
I WAS AT THAT SHOW!!!!!
Good on Sammy for letting Satch shine with some of his own stuff !
Letting? That's like letting the sun shine.
It's the Eruption bit for the show.
Good choice Sammy!!!!!!!
I think being a whole step is definitely a change for Satch. I wonder what gauge hes using for this tour. None the less sounds killer!
They should have medleyed Satch Boogie with Hot For Teacher. I consider this a missed opportunity.
That’s actually a great idea would have fit perfect.
Jamming it out !!!!
Continuez les mecs❤
👍Great show last night!
(Don’t think anyone missed the lost opening act?)
Honestly forgot about 'em after Good Enough started
Interesting to hear JASON’S drums on this Joe number
He pulls it back a little more than Campitelli…kind of a Bonzo feel. Neat.
Ladies and gentleman, Jason Bonham!

Yeah, doesnt sound quite right in some places...
YES
Smoking Joe .
Love it
New band name .. Led Foot
なぜか違和感無いと思ったら、ホットフォーティーチャー聴いてる気分で、要はヴァンヘイレンぽい!だからの選曲かな。
ここはデイブのスキャット?が欲しくなる
Eddie was a fine player, good songwriter.
As guitarists go..Joe all day.
There’s Eddie Van Halen, and then there’s everyone else…
@@Sysiphusjwk
Ed never sounded good outside VH though. Joe on the other hand made the band in whatever version there was as a band.
Just think if the shoe was on the other foot, would EVH be able to cover Satch ?
Killer shtt😎
why SATCH BOOGIE at a VH TRIBUTE to evh tour?
because its joe solo song of the set & satch boogie im sure was inspired by EVH
Because Satch Boogie is a song with many of the techniques that Eddie had created or perfected, such as tapping.
This is different, whole step down tuning?
The show is in D tune. I imagine it is for Sammy as his voice is lower than it used to be.
How the heck is he going to screw up his only song he played in??
Satch was way better in 03
Sasquatch Boogie

EVH rules and this cover crap sux
Out hater
Turns out they called Eddie to do the tour but he wasn’t available. I guess everyone should retire now.
But, like all the others, you're here cause you're curious.
