My goodness! I experienced this while traveling in Honduras. I know what it’s like to drive winding roads up a mountain with no barriers, collapsed roads, witnessing fresh accidents and sometimes inside busses so over crowded that people stand up against each other, lean on the dashboard, etc. I feared for my life....especially when it got so narrow we couldn’t see if a car was coming in the opposite direction behind a giant rock or sharp turn with several blind spots....but this...this....was something else! As a journalist I appreciate this effort, opening the world for everyone to see. This guy is my hero!
Whoa. Where was this in Honduras, where were you going, why, and are you from there? If you don't mind my asking. I crossed the Andes in a tourist bus, and it was the most terrifying thing I've done in my life. Multiple hairpin turns and kabillion-foot drops. You just pray your driver isn't sleepy, headachey, sick, or have a heart condition, as your life depends on him. I might not've taken the trip, if I knew what I was getting into. Surprised me when people make life-risking choices like this *voluntarily.* ...Doesn't sound as bad as your trip, tho.

If you hate life, just go there and I can assure you will start loving it cause you know its worth when it is at stake.
@@MrKawaiiKing well, I wrote in the comment that I was kidding about not going there, you must visit this place, but not in winters, because the hiking trail will become really slippery and dangerous. Also, do wear proper hiking shoes with really good threading, otherwise you will slip alot on the trail. Other than that, the place is marvellous, and natural water tastes so nice there. You will get to see all the greens of the forest and land, and also as you will hike up, you will get to see snow and the real beauty of Nanga Parbat. You will have to hike alot so do have a good stamina and this hiking makes this whole journey a real adventure. Overall, do visit the place, I can assure you will love this place alot.

When I used to live in Nepal, and had to travel to my village or go traveling further north, the roads were just like these, up in the mountains and close to the cliff. I used to be so scared, being only 8. Memories still hunts me. My grandma brother also lost his life on one of those roads.
When my experienced driver is saying prayers as he starts the drive, its time for me to head back and go find a nice beach; leave all this youtube stuff behind.

@@MyPimpedOutMuslim it's impossible to do so mainly becuase china is the one providing us the machinery and labour to construct these roads and it's already extremely difficult to create or repair roads in such mountainous areas here which is why a different route was made with completely new roads

This was scary AF, I could completely relate as I experienced the same during my trip to skardu. I don't know what season you went in but one should never ever go in Monsoon season to North. There are numerous land slides in a single day. Every step is uncertain and this constant fear actually makes you sick. It is very risky. I myself went in the monsoon season in 1st week of August. We were supposed to go to fairy meadows for camping but due to land slide we had to postpone our visit and instead went to skardu. Even after 4 to 5 days the land slide was not cleared, the roads were completely blocked and we had to cancel our visit and instead went somewhere else to camp. Now that I have seen this photage I'm glad we didn't go in such a rainy weather. But at the end when you reach your destination the view is breath taking, the places are so beautiful that you forget the whole journey, you are there in the moment, sinking it in. It's beautiful and it can never be explained, it can never be shown, it is something to just experience and cherish for your whole life.
I commend this young man for risking his life just to inform the whole world about the existence of this dangerous road. I'm from the Pacific Islands and watching this video is bone crushing.
As a person who's scared of height's i will die by heart attack if i'm in a vehicle passing that road, kudos to these brave drivers and felt sorry for those people who passed away by accident on that dangerous road..it give me anxiety when camera focus on the side of the cliff road, god bless to these drivers and travellers passing this road..

What a video to stumble upon; I’ve seen brief footage of this road but never anything quite like this! Just watching on my phone, sitting here safely, it’s hard to not feel conflicted/come to terms with the beauty & majesty that’s documented as the risk of death at any moment is as real & indeed as great as the landscape. Breathtaking & intensely unsettling at the same time, this footage is exceptional & I thank you for your incredible work 🖤

Alam yg begitu indah???
How was honduras my whole fathers side lives there but I'm not from there
I'm now a huge fan of Cenet. Started watching the video of the Coldest place on earth ending to binging all of his videos. Now, I always look forward to his video. He will be a big travel vlogger soon, his documentation is superb.Respects from Philippines.

If you hate life, just go there and I can assure you will start loving it cause you know its worth when it is at stake.
Are you sure?
Yes
basically he planned his trip in a worst season
It's all fun and games until you don't make it back to love yourself and your life again

i dont know how many times i got goosebumps whenever i see the cliffs. so scary and breath taking. thanks for this documentary.
recently, i lost my father to a car accident in a road as similar to this. they were trying to reach out to schools in far flung communities. unfortunately, they were not able to because he (and our car) fell in a ravine.. after the accident, the local government made a way to improve the road leading up to the community.. this video is bringing me so much anxiety i couldnt get to finish even just a quarter of it.. btw, we live in the mountainous region of the philippines in the northern part.. i admire those brave ones who get to traverse this every now and then
I am so sorry for your loss. I am just so impressed with the builders and users of roads like these.

I have done this road to Nanga Parbat on my motorcycle .. Infact I was one of the very few lucky people who were able to brave this road on two wheels...

When I used to live in Nepal, and had to travel to my village or go traveling further north, the roads were just like these, up in the mountains and close to the cliff. I used to be so scared, being only 8. Memories still hunts me. My grandma brother also lost his life on one of those roads.

Karakoram highway is the old route to northern areas and in the recent years a seperate highway has been made and it's really comfortable to drive there !
Would the government there ever improve the older routes ?
@@MyPimpedOutMuslim it's impossible to do so mainly becuase china is the one providing us the machinery and labour to construct these roads and it's already extremely difficult to create or repair roads in such mountainous areas here which is why a different route was made with completely new roads

Wow. Huge respect to this documentary. was holding my breath looking at it. So happy that you are all safe. 🙏☺️
What a breath-taking view of Pakistan. Really beautiful.
