I'm at the most air polluted city on the planet; Lahore, which is in Pakistan. (That's according to American Air Quality Index reports and the data changes every year.)
Air pollution steals 5 years from people's average life span here.
Lahore city, which is also a great example of environmental pollution, is a great indicator of the damage that humans cause to nature. Let's start exploring the most polluted city in the world.

I'm from Pakistan, I can assure you that this is all because of people here. Government can do stuff up to some limit but then it all depend on the citizens.
@@richardv9648 why would he, he is busy making ''Loli-wood'' movies
@@richardv9648 he has corrupt ministers around him.
Yes but pollution at that large scale has to be the first and foremost responsibility of the government. Regardless of people. Most people just need to be educated about what to do to fix it and the structure to make changes accessible. Blaming individuals is what allows governments to excuse what's happening.
Why cant the people make an initiative..!?
People in Pakistan don't know their values and basic rights of citizenship....

I'm from Delhi and the condition of my city is not very different in terms of air pollution but one big difference between Lahore and Delhi is that there are lot of trees everywhere in Delhi but can't see that in Lahore. Why government don't plant more trees. It helps a lot in improving the overall look of the city and does not require too much money

If there are alot of trees in delhi, according to you. Then why the condition is similar to Lahore?
@@study-splashfarm waste burning in punjab, haryana and western up all the smog at same time in delhi
The trees are more of herb category, Delhi needs taller & dense leafed trees & trees which enrich oxygen like Bamboo, etc.
Further, owing to proximity to Small scale industries in & around NCR region & adjacent states and staple burning issue in Punjab, Haryana & NCR region, the situation is weird.
However, respective state & central govts are serious about 2 G Ethanol, BioCNG & Green Hydrogen from agricultural wastes/ residues as well as from sewage & municipal wastes
Residential parts of Lahore have a lot of greenery similar to Islamabad. But the parts this youtuber showed did not have any because these were not residential areas . The elitist parts of Lahore barely have any garbage and are very green. The class divide has created all this mess tbh xD…Lahore is honestly very segregated. @H H The first year we lived off of Dazhi Road, near line 1 and Wuhan no 2 School. Jiang'an district. Lots of construction and trash around there as they rapidly worked on a new metro line.
The following year we moved to Binjianyuan, near Hankou Jiangtan (off the yangzte river). Older apartments, nice park! But still no escaping the air pollution.
Right beside the park is a pet selling area with breeders and shops and a vet. We bought our Shiba Inu from a breeder there, and vet there saved her life from a disease she got as a puppy.
While the folks in the pet area were kind to me and the service great, the conditions were horrid. Some of them would treat the dogs and cats very harshly. Like I said earlier, fecal matter everywhere in the walking area there and most pets were in these haphazard cages.

Also these countries cannot afford 100% hygenic masks for everyone everyday. They have much bigger health problems with lots of diseases but not covid.
Covid cries watching them..they already have strong immune system long before covid strikes 🤣
Still less COVID-19 cases than most of the so called developed countries.
Because they don't know better and are poor.. wearing a mask is the last of their worries. That's why it amazes me why people complain in the US about wearing masks, while in other countries they wish they could.
@@kidaria1333 You're misinformed, it does protect you from virus particles entering your nose and mouth.
Thank you so much for bringing us this content. It is eye opening and really brings into perspective the privileges and good fortune I have been given in my life that I may have taken for granted.
There's no such thing as privileges, the society you are in didn't just roll out of bed one day and have clean air, either you or generations before worked hard to achieve something that's not a privilege that's a sacrifice they committed to to make a difference. Calling it a "privilege" detracts from others hard work to get to where things are today.

My anxiety has spiked just watching this. It’s amazing how people adapt to their surrounding and even though this was chaotic and just madness most of the time to me, this is reality and every day life for millions of people. Just thinking of the way the food was prepared, the trash and sewage all around makes these people superhuman to survive.
How did they adapt exactly? From what I can see, these people show zero respect to their surroundings and are not putting in any effort whatsoever. They are puking in the sewage, leaving meat out in the open for infestations, driving everywhere and throwing diapers and garbage on the floor. If by “adapt” you mean they became as vile in behaviour as their surroundings, then maybe. Only some of the citizens seem to be doing anything.
I am from lahore, and i accept whatvis showing in this documentary, how lahore's environment is polluted, but he is showing one part of lahore the (oldest part), Anarkali baazar, another part is missed.
For survival
Super trashy humans with low IQ yes
Just imagine the conditions of students here during final exam during winter
I remind my children, just as my parents reminded me to be grateful and never take for granted the home we live in, the food we eat, and the clothes we wear. Our basic needs. After watching this I'm once again humbled and reminded how lucky we are realizing that something that I believed to be in abundance such as air, is something not everyone has in poverty stricken countries
Same. I have bad allergies, which make it hard to breathe sometimes, though that probably results from being TOO clean. I can't imagine living in places like Lahore. Even the animals there have it rough. Then I look at my pampered pets.
Right?! I can't imagine that air is something you have to even give consideration to. We are so blessed to live in Canada 🇨🇦. The worst that we get is forest fires and not even where I live. My heart hurts for the children growing up here and the elderly. Even for the stray cats! How sad. Could be such a beautiful place.
It's mind-boggling that people live in such poor conditions. Kudos to you for documenting it and enduring these dreadful conditions with a straight face! Seeing that butcher literally churned my stomach.
I know this is an older video but I just watched this and another video of yours and I am now subscribed. I am glad the algorithm led me here. You have a talent for documenting the places you go and things you do. Thank you for doing these. I love seeing parts of the world I know I will never have a chance to see otherwise.
UGH!!! The sewage is vile and by the end of this episode I was actually feeling ill, but something I don't recall you talking about was the never-ending NOISE! It not only did not stop, it never wavered!
God bless you for going to these places. You be safe!
_I believe he mentioned noise pollution but not in depth._

Over population = over pollution
infrastructure, clean water, education, etc .. would go a long way to making a high population city healthier.
Not necessarily. A city like Tokyo is actually less polluted than many, many smaller cities. The problem with cities like Lahore is their lack of planning and honestly a complete disregard of public health by both the government and average citizen. It's a dire situation, but not necessarily a consequence of high population.
Over population of brown people you mean.
@@Corredor1230 OooO Snap! Well said! Everything in Japan is ran like a fine oiled machine. They take pride in there land, culture & Products...namely Toyota! If people are brought up not to give a sh*t and abuse the land...this is what happens!

I can't imagine how people can go on living in this situation. I feel sick just by watching it. The absence of proper waste management, as simple as segregation, is one of the main problems.

@@Steve_305 Nah no chance Hong Kong is worse lol. Hong Kong can be quite bad in the summer due to fumes coming in from the north from mainland China (which has lax air quality control) and is the reason why a lot of people choose to wear facemasks there.
