I agree that this is the best knife that Civivi has made. I have 23 Civivi’s and this the best one in my collection. It is also as good or better than knives in my collection that cost substantially more. I like it so much that I ordered a second version.
I knew this was going to happen, I just didn’t know it would be this good. Mine arrives today and I’m even more pumped to get it in my hands! Thanks brother.
Thanks for the heads up on this. I bought one of these for my nephew who only has the use of his left arm from a stroke. The super lock is pretty good, but a little stiff now. I'm sure it will loosen up. I instructed Junior to open and close it a few hundred times. My only beef with the knife, is I hate holes in the side of knives, but wouldn't replace the scales as I think that kind of tuxedo micarta is really sharp.
I've always loved this blade shape and this new lock mechanism feels really solid while also easy to use. First couple days with it I think it is my favorite Civivi. For the Price? This should win a ton of awards.
Finally got one few days ago and love it. Its cutting through my cast and bandages soo easily.. (was walking down the street and the city bus passed by.... the bike rack on the front of the bus snagged my pocket clip and i went for a ride... minimal injuries... new pocket clip on the way.
Just received mine yesterday. Super fidgity. Its now my fourth Civivi and my favorite brand to collect. I will say, the bill of the clip is oddly higher than on all my other Civivi's. Also, if I could change one thing it would be moving the clip more centered, or even to the opposide side of the scale to fit in the pocket closer to the seam.
If I weren't already subscribed... I would subscribe now! I hope you're right about the knife since mine arrives in 2-days. I'm hoping it will be my new favorite. And to use that as a segue, this may well be my new FAVORITE knife video of all time! Your little (90% serious, 10% not serious), rant about putting a not-so-great clip on a fantastic knife is HYSTERICAL (whether you meant it to be or not). I'm listening to this over, and over, and OVER!
Phenomenal knife. I opted for the ivory g10 and Damascus spec, which makes it a bit more of a looker than a user in my case.. but I love this spec too so I might just have to bite the bullet and buy another at some point 😅 Civivi does make milled titanium clips that you can purchase, and that was a welcome upgrade to this guy. You forfeit the deep carry but it elevates the aesthetic of the knife a bit, and it still rides well in the pocket
This is one of the best knives in my collection---definitely the best Civivi. I replaced the clip with the stock Conspirator clip and that extra bit of length made all the difference. The Conspirator now has the titanium Civivi clip (which makes it look 10x better) so I got a win/win for the switch-up. Thanks, MC!
I got the white version and I‘ve got a tiny amount of bladeplay. I don‘t pay as much attention to clips as you do, but I dislike it as well. It‘s to strong for my taste - and for this the dumb shape comes in handy so you can bend it upward more easily when trying to put it on your pocket. I prefer to be able to take the lock out, for some reason. You just gotta remove one pin to make it do that. Yup, sometimes it will now come out if I don‘t want it to, but only when I‘m fidgeting with it, so it doesn’t matter at all. What I don’t like, is how hard the blade slaps at the stoppin when closing it. AND I really don‘t like how the lock feels on the fingertip. A little bit of fidgeting and your fingertips will hurt - even though it’s a relatively wide area. But just as you I really love the knife, though I think the pricepoint you‘re getting if for is more appropriate than what they‘re asking in germany for.
New to the knife world and just bought this. Only other knife has been a buck ten for the last 22 years. Watched all kinds of videos on this. Got the Damascus version and am happy with the purchase. It should cut cardboard and tape just fine for years to come. I can see if knives are your hobby nit picking things, but if your looking for a nice edc any of the knives you find being reviewed on TH-cam are nice knives.
“You walk by a merry-go-round - you’re going with it.” • Been watching your channel for maybe 6 months, and this is the hardest I’ve laughed at a single line. You’re awesome.
Just scooped one of these up. Found the same thing with my pocket clip so I just cannibalized one off of my Quibit. My favorite part of this knife is the santoku style blade/handle profile. I use my folding knives for cutting up food daily and have been on the lookout for something like the KUF but more fidgety. This fits the bill perfectly. I have tons of high end blades but I keep coming back to the more affordable Civivi stuff, they just seem to get it.
I bought the Damascus version based off your first unboxing of this knife. I absolutely love it and MOST definitely agree with you on the friggen pocket clip. I really hope a company does make an aftermarket one. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Beautiful life!! Things I found out: VERY fidgety!! Taking the back pin out not only makes it like the We, but also cuts down the resistance pulling the lock back making it easier on your finger!! Take that as information! Beautiful action, like you said. Love this knife!!
@@kylekarcher first off, no need to be nasty. Second, I’ve used the knife both with and without the pin. With the pin, because the lock hits it stops at that point. This makes the jimping dig into your finger, making it sore. When I took the pin out, it doesn’t hit anything so the knife is into position without the sore finger.
@@TheSMPStudios I wasn't being nasty at all you might just be overly sensitive. I get that if you press back hard to the pin it can cause this but if you don't it's the same. This isn't a change in resistance though.

Got mine, held it, then immediately moved the clip to the other side. With the clip moved for left hand carry, the annoying end fits between my fingers and I don't feel it at all.
The funniest part about civivis clips is they have technically changed it twice in the last 2 years but both changes were to everything but the bill of the clip that drives complex nuts
The clip from the elementum II fits perfectly with no hot spots. Should of came that way from factory. The milled ti clips don’t fit well and create a bad hotspot on the vision.
Civivi has their flames titanium pocket clip. 2 for $16. It's basically the old clip but titanium and without the bill I'm pretty sure. I'll be getting one for my vision fg.
I'd buy if it had titanium scales option, better steel than Nitro-V, different blade shape, different pocket clip. I'm basically describing a completely different knife at that point. Only thing I would like to try is the super lock.
When I first got into knives I thought people were stupid for complaining about the civivi pocket clip.....2 days into getting my first civivi it got caught on my seat belt and destroyed. Since then I keep getting snagged on other things. Civivi definitely needs a new pocket clip designed

I pre-ordered the Ultem version
Im curious if anyone knows the blade steel pros and cons on the Damascus vs the Nitro V?
The clip from the elementum II fits perfectly with no hot spots. Should of came that way from factory. The milled ti clips don’t fit well and create a bad hotspot on the vision.
Love the Adam Sandler colab there with the clip
"sitting all day opening boxes with more knives inside" LOL 🤣
Civivi has their flames titanium pocket clip. 2 for $16. It's basically the old clip but titanium and without the bill I'm pretty sure. I'll be getting one for my vision fg.
Long rant over a $10 solution.
Great knife, as expected. Flamed TI clip for a whopping $13 being installed today.
I got the black g10 coming but I´m still wondering if the micarta would have been the best choice.
I'd buy if it had titanium scales option, better steel than Nitro-V, different blade shape, different pocket clip. I'm basically describing a completely different knife at that point. Only thing I would like to try is the super lock.
You're describing the WE Vision R
Have you noticed the detent is kinda weak I have found is I swing the knife hard enough the blade opens up and locks ?
The Razzles clip is blade side so the blade is against material. The WE vision is on the spine so the blade away from the material and NOT secure.
When I first got into knives I thought people were stupid for complaining about the civivi pocket clip.....2 days into getting my first civivi it got caught on my seat belt and destroyed.
Since then I keep getting snagged on other things. Civivi definitely needs a new pocket clip designed
I just got my first one today it's great I love it BUT that lock is a little pokey on my finger kinda hurts . Maybe I'll get used to it like my otf
"You walk by a merry-go-round? You're going with it." You're a fucking genius, dude.
