Got one and it´s great value for the money! It comes with a ton of accessories (which cost an arm and a leg for a GoPro) and for hobby videography (and YT-uploads) it is more than sufficient. You can´t really complain about an ActionCam that costs 1/3 of a GoPro and delivers (almost) the same results for hobbyists. But don´t use the 4K/60 feature because its worse then the 4K/30 fps. I´m perfectly happy with it and recommend a buy!

I think advertising fake anything is ridiculous. IMO if you are in the budget range, you probably don’t need 60fps. It’s really stupid when the user can easily see the fake interpolation. #stayhonest
For me, I need a B roll camera system for my kayak and another for my fishing boat as my GoPro Hero 10 overheats and I get maybe 30 minutes of constant filming before it shuts off and needs a new battery. I need a camera cheap enough that I can replace it if it gets damage but good enough that I can insert B roll footage because my GoPro simply can't do what I need it to do. Akaso Brave 8 isn't in the ball park because it is $200 and it will not save the footage on a card unless the battery is Akaso brand...meaning I can't hook an external battery source to it to eliminate the need to change batteries out in the filed. Wolfang showed you why they're crap. Vera (Hafgykio) is even worse. It seems the budget camera market is flooded with crap where the same design is being used by everyone. What brand, under $175, would you recommend?
Budget is budget and you get what you pay for. If you're not a blogger and just one who wants a little cam you don't mind losing if you took a tumble or got robbed, then it's ideal.

It is just recycled junk tec that has had it's day. Better to buy an old gopro and get better footage and real specs then waste cash on these toy cameras.
@@WORTHITORNOT When you review a camera, would be helpful to show the firmware version of the camera in question, so to avoid the bad version should it be updated and operate better :)
@@ChayBode Well yes that would be a good thing except these no name camera companies NEVER update the firmware and HD KING ( the manufacturer) just makes up random firmware #’s for each company, so no way to know which firmware is a good one. Regarding other companies like Akaso, SJCAM I do mention the firmware # and also do a video whenever there is a new firmware release.
Glad to see you back, Andre. I know it's been a rough couple of months. Maybe the budget action camera market is waiting for a tech boost to trickle down to them. It might be a while. This type of camera seems to have plateaued a bit.
Love the videos and all the reviews. I just wanted to ask your opinion on 'recommended' best action cam. I'm looking for an action cam to stick to the ceiling to do overheads of a board gaming table. It needs fisheye reduction, but will be static so no EIS required. My main concern is about 4K image quality and resolution. I've been looking at all your reviews, but can't definitively identify what would be best for my circumstances. Could you please point my in the right direction?
With keeping in mind that Action cameras require a LOT of light for that tiny sensor to get a good usable image, I would just look to find a used GoPro Hero 5 since you don't need EIS and you can adjust your exposure with it and get a decent image out of it and you can choose linear FOV which will not give you any fisheye effect. There is a market for sufficiently working budget action cams. Some consumers want/need them for documenting activities regarding liability issues in their daily lives. Example, cyclists, they use them in big cities everyday when riding and eventually they wear out from constant use. Mine wear out, get damaged, malfunction or worse, get lost/stolen. So, for some uses, budget action cams are worth it.

There is only 3 action cam brands that will not disappoint you even in their older version and that will be GO-PRO DJI and INSTA360, don't waste your money on what they so called alternatives as you will end up regretting it afterwards. Just get any older model of this way to go brands as it will gives you a better result and almost or maybe less than the price of this wanna be action cams.

@WJ 5 and 6 can go for £100 to £160, and the app is still supported by Gopro....
