My primary Doctor practitioner is a functional medicine specialist. I was able to take blood test for foods that I'm sensitive to. Life saver because there was no way I could have done an elimination diet and have fiqured it out. Highly recommend this. I also eat clean and avoid sugar, gluten and dairy.

I have been on anti inflammatory diet since 2021.1.21 and it works like magic on me, medication is important but diet really makes HUGE difference on me on terms of pain, tightness are GONE. Occasionally fatigue and I have gained sooooo much more energy. I used to suffer everyday and since Jan. I almost have been living like a normal people except some flares be of sun exposure in the summer.

I have had SLE for 20 yrs now, and although she meant well, there is tons of bad advice in this video: like including dairy in your diet and suggesting that there is no scientific evidence that food will impact the course of the disease. This is so inaccurate.

Looked into Turmeric Curcumin? It's a Indian spice thats an INFLAMMATORY and heavy metal DETOXIFIER. Probably the cause being heavy metals and chemicals. That's the cause of most if not all diseases imo. Simple explanation to a complicated disease but they cure symptoms not the root problems. Then make them look scary, expensive and incurable. With a chance to live normal with modern science breakthrus that compound the problem with more chemicals and a note to eat healthy like this ☝ video.. Quit eating anything processed, go on a water fast for a day or two a week and remember turmeric curcumin with pepper extract.. Kick this thing, get healthier than you have ever been and teach people how to cure themselves! Take care! 🙏I'll be on my way, I'm only glancing over Lupus to find out what it is because Dr. Oz interviewed Lupus patients in April of 2020 and 99% of Lupus patients taking Hydroxychloroquine were negative n never got covid. Hmm.. anywhoo Italy just okayed Hydroxychloroquine for use as an early treatment that's 99.9% effective. So no need to get the poke for couid! That or the flu poke! Just more fn chemicals that I'm assuming your bodies overburdened with anyways.. one month after the virus hit America last year we had the cure and they squashed it n lied n heart attack were lies n all to push this poke.. we need to wake up! The cures in our diets. Everything processed has aluminum this or modified (fake) that and preservatives and fake crap that kills our Gut microbiome bacteria so we can't digest food normally.. im ranting.. I watched her talk just to see if she would say Turmeric Curcumin and now I'm raging.. there's hundreds if not thousands of studies proving how good it works but they never report that. I guarantee there's studies on Lupus n turmeric that thy just forget to mention. I'm ranting have a nice day 😊

I think she's right in that diet is very individual, BUT a diet that focuses on less inflammation is going to help, period. I cannot tolerate curcumin, but dairy seems to be okay in moderation (actually, when I try to do without it, I feel icky). I take tons of supplements, including fish oils because I cannot eat much food volume wise. I take vitamin D as it has been shown to be anti-inflammatory, etc. Sugar IS inflammatory, so cutting that out as much as possible has to be helpful for any rheum disease. It just makes logical sense.

My doctors agree that there is no scientific evidence any food causes flares and suggest eating healthy in general (cutting out process foods etc).

Great video but I am a little confused with regard to anti inflammatory diet. I have lupus and therefore to reduce my inflammation I decided to consumed a lot of walnuts and fish oil two months ago in otherwise the perfect SLE remission. But just a few weeks ago, I had chest infection and was advised to complete a 10 day antibiotics course. Did the anti inflammation diet increase my susceptibility to infection?

Fact mini foods almost all foods at this point for me trigger a flare due to mast cell activation in the digestive tract so that’s a fact for me this specific individual.
Fact my triggers are not necessarily in the triggers of another person with lupus they are individual. Many people with lupus will not have it impact inflammation in their digestive tract but many May develop this condition of inflammation with food triggers
Fiction telling people they could or even should eat from all of the food groups And that there are no specific diet to follow that help with food sensitivities in the digestive track or even flares throughout the whole system. Mini find once they understand the link between diet and inflammation in their system and flares they can stabilize their lupus flare’s so pursuing their own individual diet based on knowledge of others sharing information about what causes their flares and then entertaining and trying to eliminate may be one item only one item at a time and see if there’s remission improvement and then do a challenge at some point and see if there’s a flare is the only way to find out.
I can tolerate many foods when I’m not in a flair I can tolerate almost no food when I’m in a flare.
It almost goes with the rule of Starbucks fever when the immune system is attacking itself and then you put food into the body it perceives that as a threat as well and so the food you eat often when you’re experiencing a flare can then be fired and wired and the neurology as an enemy and then you develop an intolerance that then triggers mast cell flares and you create a cycle Of triggers that did not exist before.
I have found going to low histamine foods greatly reduces the cycle when I am in a full air otherwise they tend to be OK but that’s my own personal experience.
Avoiding nightshades was one of the biggest discoveries I made for me personally when I’m in a flare and red meat is challenging on my system. You really can’t know until you try and I would’ve been so sad if I had listened to this and never eliminated nightshades during flares and gotten things under control.
When you study the trigger such as Sun metals cigarettes pesticides when you reduce the items that have this type of component about them you can reduce inflammation but it doesn’t mean that you have to do it all the time they can be balance.
What was helpful to me was I went to a dermatologist who did patch testing to identify my skin derma sensitivities activating my mast cells and then from that I did research into foods and products to avoid or minimize and then systematically did avoidance and challenges it is individual and there are test out there that then can identify what the trigger is there a dermatologist not all of them do them and then it will give you a report of products to avoid And even what foods contain those chemicals naturally or potentially are produced in a way that would have those chemicals.
You truly have to increase your knowledge increase your understanding do your own trial and error to get this thing under control
