  • THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY CHANNEL! It's been a crazy year. This weeks video is the first that I have to push back due to issues getting it completed. Don't you worry though, come next week it will be up and posted. This is a compilation of all of this years videos and a thank you to all of my viewers. I am soo happy about all the support this channel has been given over this last year, it has exceeded my wildest dreams of where I hoped it would be at this point and I want each of you to know how excited and happy I am to have all the support you've given.
Some notes about this channel. I post a video every single week on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. I do also work a full time job that I put in 40-50 hours a week so this is a hobby that I do in the afternoons and usually have 20-25 hours of work a week into. It's definitely a labor of love and I hope to keep up with this pace for as long as I can. Some day I will likely have to step down to every other week posting.
A note on ads, TH-cam controls how many and where ads are placed on my videos, I don't even remotely try to figure out that stuff. I apologize if some of these longer videos see too many ads however, as it is currently my ad revenue is just starting to support this channel, which without, I would not be able to continue with how expense many of these restorations have been. With that being said,,, THANK YOU for your patience and those of you that let the ads play... a double thank you!
I am constantly trying to improve my content and constantly upgrading equipment to produce better quality videos. This year I have updated my lighting, my camera, my microphone. Next year my goal is to purchase a CNC mill in order to remake stamping dies for parts.
    Thank you!!

I absolutely love your channel. Seeing the love you pour into these creations and restoring them is mesmerizing and soothing. I adore your junkyard intros with the sheep and the antics they get into! And then, you follow up with the end build; like the fire ladder truck saving the sheep; or the ballots falling off the mail truck. Simply awesome!!!

Thank you for the retrospective! When I watch your videos I am always captivated by the process and the attention to detail, then amazed at the final product. I know that they are cotton balls, construction paper and plastic googly eyes; but thanks for the disclaimers that the sheep are unharmed. :)

It’s hard to believe these were at one time just toys for children! And now I realize they were always works of art all along. Keep up the good work!

Loved the livestock and mail trucks (hilarious!) as was the ladder truck! I really liked the dozer/dump truck combo. Anything with an impossible accessory (like the tanka marine hauler boats/outboard motors) are stunning. My wife and I LOVE your work!

Trying to pick my favorite of your restorations would be like trying to pick my favorite child. Since first viewing one of your videos, I have become a big fan, searching for similar sites. Your site is by far the best. Your skill, craftmanship and attention to detail are unparalleled. Keep up the fantastic work.

Congratulations on a great first year! I love all your work. So hard to choose a favorite. Probably the Buddy L ladder truck and the U.S. Mail truck. The most impressive thing I’ve seen was how you manufactured the lids for the Coke a Cola bottles for the Coke truck. Keep up the awesome work. Looking forward to seeing more restorations! 👍👏👏

    A favorite? So many choices!
    Wyandotte boat tail...very clean.
    '63 Dump with matching dozer...nice.
'65 Stake with sheep trailer..complete sets make the top of the list.
Marx Magnetic..much respect on restoring to full function.
If I had to choose? There would be 2 first place winners: The 1953 Tonka Livestock "Lamb Chops" and the early '60s BuddyL ladder truck " Tree Sheep Rescue". Both very nice.
Congratulations on 62K subscribers, enjoy the meticulous work and the satire. The '53 COE Livestock "lamb chops" and the BuddyL US Mail " ballot spill" were my favorite vlogs!

I love cranes... when I was a boy I had a Tonka, and a few cheaper ones as well... I best video I liked when you did the crane truck with the magnet... you did a lot of metal preparation to replace parts that were broken or missing that’s a lot of prepping and sanding but your final product was totally awesome... I can’t believe how cheap that was in the ad.. but when you said what you paid for it now like $400.00 wow that’s a lot but it’s all worth it in the end... you really do have a very nice Collection of refurbished vintage toy trucks and cars... please keep the videos coming I watch every one so far and enjoy them all... thank you

Everybody seems to do Tonka stuff but you also find and do other manufactures which makes your channel interesting. The Tonka fire truck pumper was my favorite Tonka restoration. The Wyandotte ones are my favorite, however the 1930s magnetic crane was the most unusual.

I thought, I was the only one. "Sheep!" and I also will say out loud "Don't worry, he's okay!", to which I recieve a response of "I'm glad" (not in the most excited, or glad, sounding voice).

Beautiful jobs on all your restorations Chip ! I believe that I have watched all of them, and some more than once. It is a difficult task to pick only one as a favorite, so I will say any of them that you had to remake missing, or to damaged part/s is in the top three, the the Blue COE Wrecker, and retiring from Coke, has to be the Coke delivery truck. And the most humorous,, the U S Mail truck w/ the election ballots being lost ( as if that could really happen ) LOL..

Chip! This has truly been a busy and amazing year for you and your restorations. I've seen everyone of them at once and others 2 or more times. I'm 68 years young and some of those I had when I was a boy. My favorite one was the cement mixer. I played with it for hours on end every day. Don't know what happened to it. I guess my parents gave it away. I found one a couple of years ago along with a log hauling semi and gave them to my grandson. He decided to roll it down the stairs and now there is no more cement mixer. I have hundreds of trains that I have collected over the years that I would love to give him, but not at this time. Keep up with the restorations. I'll be watching. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

What a great video! I found a few I'd missed and rectified that immediately. Beaker is just adorable and I have one who looks very much like her named Ollie. Beaker has better manners than my wild child! One thing I noticed in particular is that you try to match the paint color to the era. Makes a big difference. I started years ago saving old rusty toy's. I liked how they looked and I guess I felt sorry for them. A few of them I bought them off the internet through Girard Auctions in Wakonda Sd.
They are to be the worlds largest toy auction site in the world now.
Then 1 day I started watching you amd now I can't wait till retirement...
Thank you for given me the best retirement idea.
If I knew how to upload pictures I would shpw you my favorite and not so favorite one's I have.
I liked the magnet crane and do not like the blue/green and gold car.
May the Lord keep smiling in your little shop.

Great compilation! It's really hard to pick favorites because they all came out so amazing, but I LOVE the color of the Cherry Red pickup truck and I love the two-tone car because it was just in such bad shape, I couldn't believe you could do anything to it!
Aso, I grew up with sheep, so I am very amused by your flock! 😂
    Keep up the great work!

I remember having a Tonka toy as a kid, it was purchased second hand, but never looked as good as these awesome restorations. Such a lot of love and detail in each project. keep on with your passion.

I can’t believe I actually missed a few! I will have a Chip Channel Film Festival this week. I love the COE trucks, particularly since they are a type and not a brand, a number were made near here... but heck most trucks are! I wonder if they make tin boats, bet they won’t float and neither will the sheep 🐑 Thank You for the great information and entertainment.

    Love this channel.
    Best restoration:
I am partial to fire trucks but that very recent crane resto was extremely educational as well as that emergency van from last week.
    Worst:
I grew weary of the Wyandottes after two of them were done.
For the million subscriber special-if I may- we should have a get together. Ooh and ah over your work. Silent auction over the pieces you are willing to part with AND the item on the menu-lamb chops of course!! (dripping with brown gravy).
