- I purchased this 1962 Tonka Camper Pickup Truck from eBay April of 2020. Overall it was in great shape with only some missing paint and a few dings. Missing the back door and obviously well played with. Made for an excellent restoration.

Something about this build really struck home. My grandfather had a 1967 Dodge D100 that was almost the identical colour. I grew up in that pickup as I was born in 1968. Bravo.
Watching your restorations is incredibly soothing and peaceful. Thx!
I know. He is so skilled and accurate with measurements.
7 year old me is DYING for that, to take on my toy adventures.... beautiful work!
It never ceases to amaze me how perfect these trucks look after you're through with them.
I’m not sure why I find these videos so fascinating but I do. I could watch these for hours!
I don't think Tonka toys ever used lead paint. If they had, the very stringent toy safety laws here in the UK, would have prevented their importation. I'm glad of that, as they were one of THE big toys of the 1960's and 70's. My brother and I had quite a few. Our dad was a civil engineer, and liked us playing with toy bulldozers, back actors, and face shovels. 👍👍👍
Saw this on your other videos. Had to come looking for the camper restoration. What fun you have!
Благодарю за видео. Смотрю для успокоения души. Помогает отвлечься от дел и расслабится. Всех благ. Всем добра.
Your attention to every last detail is what makes your work outstanding. Sooooooooo impressed.
I love how this one turned out. The Blue and White is so beautiful! Awesome Restoration!
Now that is a thing of beauty. Great work. We need to see a vid of all your restored 1960s/early 70s Tonkas, all together.
Oh wow. I had that exact truck and camper when I was a kid in the late 60s and early 70s. 😊
I would love a job sand blasting on this scale. It's so satisfying to watch.
I remember this exact Tonka from my childhood in the 60's. One of my favorites. Beautiful restoration.
Very nice! Once again your attention to detail & craftsman quality majorly impress! The reconstruction of the strap tabs was very well done! The overall quality of the project was top grade! Thank you for the entertainment & pleasure of watching you work! Keep up the quality!
Great restoration. I was anticipating that the sheep would be taking a camping trip at the end of this one.
What a gorgeous shade of blue! I kinda' remember that from the Sears(?) catalog. MAN! What a treat that was, when the Sears Christmas catalogs came out. Beautiful job!
I am in Chip heaven now that the camper is beautiful! I cant believe Tonka did a top opening door instead of a side opening one.
Looks as good as the day someone bought it from a toy store. I love the old school colors.
Wow, I had this one when I was a kid and it was in near perfect condition when my mom convinced me to donate it to my younger cousins who destroyed it a few months later...
Nice color match to original. Just a boat with trailer away from a weekend at the favorite fishing spot.
This is very powerful repair👍👍
I have this one sitting out in my living room...which was my brothers. Also the original box. Nice video...thanks
Beautiful work, thank you for sharing.
A wonderful restoration, Chip. You can immediately go on holiday with this.
Looks fantastic what a transformation well done 😀😀👍👍
Love the way that sandblaster just blasts away the pink that's pretty cool
Nice job. 👍 looking forward to the next one. My vote would be on the flat loader.
Ahhh, the camper, very nice job !!
Better than new. Love it. Now the cement mixer
Very impressed with your restorations! Great to see these toys get a new life.
So cool looking. Another awesome job. 😺❤😺❤
Beautiful restoration job.
See how these toys were meant to last.... now it's just plastic crap in landfill and oceans! Love your work/art by the way👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yo! Your opening is the coolest for a kid who loved his Tonka trucks!

Another great restoration, you are a great craftsman! Great job!
Absolutely superb, my boy, Absolutely Superb. I am starting to run out of adjectives to describe your amazing restorations. I'll think of something because I own a thesaurus and that gives me a few more words. You are going to have to insure your collection or get a bigger dog.
Uh, ok....
I love the intro with the junkyard and sheep! Another good restore!
Nicely done, sir. The pale blue color is so period correct, dad had 1 of the same color.

Thank you , Chip .
BEAUTIFUL 😀👍❤
I heard an eBay notification in the background. SOLD! it's so pretty!
Quedó excelente. ma asombra que se consigan las piezas faltantes, siendo que son juguetes que se hicieron hace décadas.
This cute tiny house on wheels is crying out loud for furniture ;) Great job!
I always feel a touch of sadness when the original decals are blasted off. The restorations are incredible though!
There was no side windows for the toy pickup truck itself.
Really enjoy your channel! Would you restore the ramp/hoist truck next. Thanks.
Hola Chico I like that one ☝️ stay safe and stay home 🏡 see you next time 👋

Una vez tuve un camión grúa marca TONKA que pesaba como tres (03) kilos y era INDESTRUCTIBLE, al final no se que se cual fue su destino.

I guess I should read the title of your video it pretty much explains what I asked about
Another great job!
Chip, I don't know if you would be interested, but you could contact the Minnesota Historical Society and ask them if they have any old photos of the factory where they were produced. You might even spot some of the toys you've restored in some of the photos! Minnesota Historical Society is very complete and would be glad to help you.
I kind of liked the look of the bare sand-blasted metal. Think the camper part would have looked good with a clear coat over that.
очаровательная! ❤❤❤
Great video! Thanks for the video!
