It's so heartbreaking to think the victim's daughter will have to remember her mom was killed the same day her daughter was born. She'll never be able to celebrate it with pure joy in her heart. Your baby's 1st birthday is supposed to be full of joy and he ruined that. Sick, evil man

I'm sure the Prosecution team was elated when Nelson was on the stand. He proved himself to be guilty with his responses and behavior.

I really like this prosecutor...... there’s a calmness about her. Thought she did an amazing job when cross examining the animal. I think he wanted to get a rise out of her and she didn’t allow it to happen.... she worked it brilliantly. Some prosecutors can get visibly emotional, which can be effective (Jose Martinez), but also sometimes it doesn’t work. This lady strikes a pretty difficult balance in a very emotive case, where the defendant is extremely dislikable and massively punchable. 👏

They are using two court reporters. I wonder if that’s because of Nelson’s history of filing complaints. They want to make sure this record is perfect.

He never mentions OR admits that if he hadn’t broken the law way back with his FIRST FELONY he wouldn’t even have had a probation officer.

9:40 why two court reporters? Is it because of the high talking speed of the prosecutor🤣

I know I feel the same way but the burden is on them. I work for a defense attorney here in California and we just got done with a 14 month jury trial where the prosecutor gave her closing arguments for 3 full days and a-day and a 1/2 for rebuttal. I thought I'd shoot myself in the ears with a .50 cal The jury seemed quite annoyed too. In my opinion sometimes less is better. Especially when they jury has been hearing testimony for 14 months. They had a verdict in 6 hrs lol.

Just the opinion she gave agreeing that prosecutors having the hardest job shows she doesn't work in the field. even myself as a layperson knows its totally down to many variables starting with how strong the evidence is. Gothic Mom: The difference here is that Perry Mason was a fictional character in a television entertainment series designed for dramatic effect. This woman is dealing with the actual life and possible execution of a real person accused of a real murder of another real person. This isn’t Disney World or Pixar, there is no happy or satisfying ending, there is a brutally murdered real person and a real man accused of her real murder. No cameras, no film and sound crews, no sponsors, no scripts, no pizza at the end of the day, just a best effort to get a genuine psychopathic career criminal and murderer off the street.

Shocking! The Prosecution could have done a much better job. They missed a few steps. Their questioning sounded like a kid skipping rocks over a lake. "Why didn't she ask..." was thoughts throughout. However and regardless, the Defense team was as competent as the Defendant! Scott Nelson is, without a doubt, a Psychopath! I would have been elated as I'm sure the Prosecution was! There were still more questions she missed to him, however he buried himself the second he opened his mouth, not much work needed to be done after that.
