Thank you so much for this video! I replaced my radiator on my own, despite not having ever done anything like that before. This saved me a lot of time and a lot of cursing

Great video. Glad you mentioned the transmission fluid level as that is often over looked.

If I wanted to replace the tensioner pulley in front of the radiator on the engine, do I need to remove the radiator?

metatech It’s a little tight but I believe you have just enough room to get it out

In my opinion it is very simple to remove the radiator and obviate the potential for damage.

Question: i’m installing this radiator for my roommate, she bought the new radiator for an automatic transmission but her car is a manual transmission. This means that there is no transmission cooler. Can I still use the automatic transmission radiator and somehow block off the transmission cooler inlet/outlet??

ALEXELY925 yes should be able to still use the automatic radiator. Just match it up with the old one to make sure that all the bottles lineup

Same car, The coolant from my reservoir doesn't go to the radiator or engine.. It sits there in the reservoir. Hose doesn't seemed to be blocked. I replaced the thermostat and the radiator should be fine.. Any thoughts?

CookSzn what what makes the current move is the water pump. I’ve seen the propeller come loose on the inside and not spin.

So....Do you run the engine for 15 minutes with the radiator cap off? You aren't clear on this, and the yellow funnel device you have attached is obviously some sort of cap device that allows coolant to rise without being lost.

That funnel is a "burp bucket" and comes as a kit with different radiator cap fittings for vehicles. The funnel fits through an opening in the radiator cap and as the coolant circulates through the cooling system, air will pass up through the funnel. The air will escape through the top of the bucket. Great tool!
