Yeah this show isn't LOST with mysteries wrapped in an enigma that ultimately turn out to be meaningless lol but some guys on here actually predicted things that have happened after the first and second episodes 😅 got to admit there's some really smart people out there. Like one guy knew a titanium plate would be in the sons mangled leg and it wouldn't burn in the incinerator straight after the episode ended and I and many others didn't even think of it
I think the ketamine explanation actually checks out -- i figured the whole time that ketamine is just a blanket term being used by bloggers when talking about sedatives
I just realized at the beginning. Dark defender is the comic character dexter saw himself as. Also something a lot of people havnt mentioned. Both Harrison and trinity found dexter with a bowling picture
In the first episode Dexter mentions a stop sign needing to be put up. He says it's an accident waiting to happen. I wonder if that scene was foreshadowing part of the ending.

I honestly think because of how dream like it seemed when he hit Matt that everything after that point maybe a dream or him working through everything and may flash back to it by the end. You’ve done THE BEST job by far on New Blood, thanks sooooo much for all the digging you’ve done for us. I always watch Dexter after it airs and then immediately watch your commentary. Same for Foundation when it was on. I’m so scared for Sunday though I almost don’t want to watch it. 😟😩

I am dreading the finale and also excited at the same time, a weird feeling because usually I know he will get away with it but now I dont know, I am worried for Dexter for real, for everything he has been through in his life. I just wish they could keep churning seasons.
Yeah, but remember she had stated that when people are in extreme situations people do "extreme things". Also, she wasn't like Dex. She didn't have a need to kill. She just had the balls (or ovaries lol) to do it. Unless I'm misunderstanding your point
@Rainer Rilke I remember Dexter explaining to Deb the meaning of the word "serial killer'' in season 6. The description sounded something like ''a person who already killed more than 2 and not at the same time'', Debra also repeatedly referred to Hannah as a serial killer in the original show.
Apparently I am the only person on the internet who liked how the original Dexter ended. He was now a lumberjack , no longer living in Miami, or working as a blood analyst , but he would still kill the bad guys who escaped justice. The look in Dexter's eyes in the final shot of the original series told us with certainty that Dexter was still Dexter no matter where he was located. Dexter New Blood proved that theory right. Obviously do not know how New Blood ends but my guess is both Dexter and Harrison live to kill another day (another season).
aaaaand since in my country the episodes come out over two weeks later, I can either decide to get spoiled to the point nausea or not go on the internet for over two weeks, starting in about 30 minutes. great. thanks for your coverage of the season!
I was tweeting about Chekhov's gun as I was watching the episode. You don't make such a big deal about a character getting a gun unless you plan for that gun to be used
Will Harrison try to find Aster and Cody they are not even mentioned in the season I thought they would say maybe a couple of lines about them in the episode that Harrison remembered everything or the start of episode 9. What do you think happened to them and why didnt Harrison just try to find them since it would have been much easier than finding his father also why didnt the feds just send him to them rather than a foster home.
That's what I want to know. I wouldn't mind having a whole episode dedicated to showing Harrison's past montage. It would've been a great character builder than all the school stuff they put in.
@@pattiebee9703 The guy was able to track his father who was in hiding he also knew who his mother was plus Hannah would have told him about Aster and Cody so in today's age with things like facebook he would have easily tracked them down its how he tracked down his father. They were in the old series but in new blood they would have given something that Dexter never faced or even felt a sense of consiquenses for what he did and what better way to end the show than for Dexter to be killed by Harrison for not only fitting the code but also for getting his mother killed and leaving him and his siblings without a mother.
I saw another comment saying that maybe Matt's gun under dexter's property is the real Chekhov's gun, and Harrison's was a red herring. They did spend an entire episode on Matt getting that gun...
@Delana Taylor Online I'm leaning towards Logan being more of an unwitting accomplice. He doesn't really know what Kurt did, but his extreme loyalty to the Caldwell family (something they've emphasized multiple times) will lead him to go rogue and hunt Dexter down. This will force either Harrison or Dexter to kill Logan out of self-preservation. I have a feeling that Angela will be convinced that Dexter is a killer and try and pin him down, until he shows her "what true evil looks like" and she sees Kurt's collection and possibly frees Dexter. I don't know if they kill her or if she just let's Dex go due to him killing Kurt and avenging Iris, but I'm leaning like 70/30 she dies. As per usual can't have someone who knows who Dex really is stay alive.
@@Regitron3000 yeah I truly believe that Dexter's held accountable for the Bay Harbor Butcher murders including the murders in New Blood (meaning the feds get involved). I believe he's imprisoned and that's the end of Dexter. Unless they start a whole new series with Harrison, this is the last episode indefinitely. I don't understand why because it's so successful, but I think that is the reality here.
Perhaps the gun gets turned on Harrison by the accomplice. So, similarly to S4, Dexter thinks that he's handled the situation but he didn't account for the accomplice who could kill Harrison with Dex knowing and creating a mirror ending to Season 4- him losing Harrison too because he was caught up in his active addiction of killing. The show's story is very heavily a metaphor for addiction so it would make sense for history to repeat itself, and to a worse degree, now that he has fallen hard off the wagon.
@Delana Taylor Online could be blood from Dexter taking a bullet to the leg which the writers, actors and director seemed to have completely forgotten about in the last episode. He was limping about badly injured in his leg and head and next he's gallivanting around on Christmas 🎄 day without a scratch
I just want to add, and I have frick'n clue (except there damn well better be another season) but that moment in 9 when Dexter has to point out to Harrison about the safety on the gun - I think that will play a part in the finale - somehow. Less than 2 days to go.
Even if Angela believed Kurt about Iris, it’s still other girls missing so that doesn’t fully explain the switch up with only being focused on Dexter and not the “other” missing girls.
I distinctly remember hearing Clive talk the day before the season 4 finale that what happens in that episode will blow people's minds. He said it on a tv interview, one I can't find. He's saying the same thing here. So we can be sure this ending will break the internet or whatever he's suggested this time around.
Some other Dexter yt video has an outstanding theory. It explains and damn near convinced me that Dexter is really on death row and has been hallucinating the entire season on the drug they give him before his execution. It said because some things didn't add up. How did his kid find him from the internet really. Why would Molly be there for some kid being killed in anywhere USA? Dexter is really admitting to his son from his last visit with Harrison. Kurt is really the guy who administers the Execution or his the medical person who administers it. It goes on and on. Interesting
Either way would be disappointing for me...similar to s8, or ending with Dex getting executed and new blood is all but just a hallucination. I'd bet it continues and this season's finale is more or less pedestrian and not shocking. It was hyperbolic and marketing to keep everyone old (and new) watchers hyped.
@@99alfailiwaqain51 my gut bet is rather simple. Harrison kills Angela or Dex (via chekhov's gun theory). And the series decide if it's Dex or Angela...by the rating success, it's probably Angela, and the show continues in another season. Imo if Dex dies, the series is over. period.
So according to the Chekhov Gun theory, Anton Chekhov's famous book writing advice: 'If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. So does that mean Harrison might kill somebody that we would never expect. Or does it mean that there is going to be an accident at the intervention without the stop sign in front of Leo’s package store. Which Dexter mentions in the first episode. Either way the gun is going to come into play somehow.

This is a brilliant collection of details that people are bitching about as bad writing or completely misunderstood. Awesome job. I like that they gave details about Ketamine and that it was used because of MCH's song. I like that they said the envelope was Kurts, I like they clarified that we were not supposed to know Harrison's true feelings, that Kurt killed Molly, etc. I think it must be very hard to see fans get confused or what not after a show comes out and they have no way to course correct or fix issues fans are seeing in real time. I think of these podcasts as actually canon and gives more details for those that couldn't be in the show. Brilliant.
There is no indication that Angela "bought" Kurt's story... She's probably still convinced of his guilt. She's simply not able to make anything stick because the DNA evidence could point to his dad... she wouldn't get a conviction due to reasonable doubt so there is no point.

If indeed he said that Angela actually believes Kurt, then he is wrong. It is Jonah Mitchell that returns in the finale. Here is why: 1. In Episode 10 of Season 4, Dexter confronts Jonah at the Mitchell household saying "You can help put an end to it.... the sins of your father". This directly references the title of the finale episode, "Sins of the Father". 2. Brando Eaton posted two pictures of him and Michael C. Hall on Instagram roughly 1 year ago, which is when New Blood started filming. One of them was speculating about the new upcoming series. My thoughts are he comes back and kills either Dexter or Harrison to avenge the murder of his father.

I have been thinking about this while watching this reboot/return of Dexter. When dexter first meets Harrison in “Dexter :New Blood”, Harrison tells Dexter his Stepmom (Hannah) died of cancer. That reminded me of what Dexter does to Camilla Figg in season three. She work at Miami Metro Police and was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Dexter said he would help her and put an assisted suicide drug in a slice of Key Lime Pie, her fave. He did that and she passed away peacefully. Why do I feel like Harrison did something like that to Hannah. It is another sign Harrison would have a dark passenger. And remember Hannah was not mentally well either. She had confessed to Dexter that she liked to kill too, in which made him love her and trust her with Harrison. Yet, don’t know if Harrison learned tricks from her on how to kill. I always wondered that too when they had Harrison as a character in this one. Another thing, I have a gut feeling we might see Batista in the finale. As you said, they wrote a scene with him talking to here on the phone. She was looking more into the Bay Harbor butcher scenarios at the end of last weeks show. So, she might call him to pick his brain about Dexter. She didn’t look too happy at the end of the episode there.
Angela confronts Dexter, unravels the Bay Harbor Butcher mystery in front of Dexter and Harrison, and is ready to arrest him. But instead Harrison pulls out the rifle and has her run, Kurt style. Dexter has a decision to make....let Harrison become Kurt and preserve his secret or save his son from darkness only to seal his fate. After the finale is concluded, right before the credits roll, Masuka shows up looking for his Merry F'in Cousin.
I believe Harrison will snipe Angela like Kurt did those girls, in the season trailer you see Harrison put on the white ski mask, (I went through all the episodes and dexter has on a gold watch, Harrison watch is covered up by his sleeve) dexter finds Angela and takes her cop car to dispose of her body and/or car… that’s probably why he has blood on his face, I think that’s when he gets caught with the gun in the car and the police shoot him in the head like Deb did him when he was contemplating confessing to her…
I get news updates on my phone from time to time and today I got an update that had big spoilers in the title about the final episode. Unbelievable. Really pisses me off.
We have not discussed the quick flash forwards at the beginning of each episode. It does make you think of a dream or possibly Dexter reliving these moments.
I usually listen to both of these podcast too (and participate on Dissecting Dexter - calling in as Dez!) but this week I was so mad at Dexter and his choices that I couldn’t even tune in to enjoy them. So glad you were able to wet the whistle with some goodies!! I’m so glad they laid to rest the “Harrison killed Hannah” theory. I always hated that one because it comes out of nowhere! Just the bored bloodlust of an audience waiting for their kills. I’m not bothered by the Ketamine switch out. They know the audience isn’t dumb, instead it’s a fun little Easter Egg!
Does anyone know if Dexter confirmed Hanna's death? Does anyone know where Harrison's training has come from? He seems to know where/how to disable opponents and says it's from shuffling around foster care system.
I never watch your videos before watching the actual episode. Having said that, I watched the finale just now and I'm satisfied, but it will divide opinions i'm sure. Now I got to watch your 3 last videos about how it should end, the ep 10 teaser and this one, and not to spoil anyone..... but you'll like this ending.
Am going to miss these videos just as much as am going to miss Dexter. Great coverage :) My random Internet breaking theory is as follows.... Dexter kills Angela by accident while trying to hunt Logan after finding out he had been helping Kurt to lure girls. He got messed up in his youth by Kurt when in the Wrestling team just like Kurt tried with Harrison. In the process Dexter breaks his own code. He sets things up so it looks like Kurt killed her but Harrison and Audrey find out. Dexter and Logan end up on Harrison's table. Dexter confesses to killing Angela along with starting the events leading to his Ritas death via Trinity. Audrey and Harrison kill him and him and Logan. Dexter is at peace with it before becoming Harrison dark passenger. Just before he dies he has flashbacks to all the good people he had caused to die in over the years. Cue Doaks saying "Goodbye Mother Trucker" just before the end as a play on words from his best line. Dexter smiles. Audrey and Harrison dispose of the bodies before going forward with their own code. Dexter pops up in Harrisons thoughts to congratulate him. The end. This is the best internet breaking version of events I can come up with!
Maybe its dumb but I Just realized what everyone has been meaning about Dex twisting the story about the trinity killer. He said he killed him for what he did to rita. But he only found out about Rita after he killed trinity. Don't know how I missed that.. even after people explaining it to me.
The actor who plays Harrison did a good job being unreadable. I tend to to favor the more suspicious end of the spectrum but I honestly have no idea how he feels.
It means that the billionaire was intentional and Angela finding clues about Dexters real life is relevant and it also means everything Harrison is saying and doing is true. It means the writers are not going to add or mislead us in anyway while telling the story.

Where does Edward Olson come into the picture for the ending. The fact that they did not go more into depth into him almost guarantees there will be more seasons
I want Showtime to jump the shark completely, back up the stunt bike, jump the tank again, and just bring back all of Miami Metro that’s still alive. Have Harrison become a cop, Dex go back to being a blood spatter analyst, whatever, I don’t care. The actors are phenomenal and I want it all back. Fuck it, bring Deb back from the dead while we’re at it. Jennifer Carpenter is easily 50% of the reason I watched.
It was unrealistic how clear-headed Kurt was when he came round from the ket. He would have been totally disoriented to begin with and would have taken 10's of minutes to gather the wherewithal to even remember who he is let alone understand where he is and what is going on.
There’s many unrealistic but like that throughout the show. When Dexter hits Matt in the face with his gun it was very unrealistic. He stumbles backwards then goes unconscious several seconds after being struck. He would have been knocked out immediately. Also, people who get knocked out like that usually don’t stay unconscious for more than a few dozen seconds. But somehow Dexter sets up his whole kill room after hitting Matt with his gun. If someone is KO’d for 20-30 minutes they would have to have catastrophic brain trauma.
What a great season after so many years...however, I just saw the season finale and whilst I wont comment on that....I am not sure how you can beat it if there is a next season?
My theory is that Angela has proof Dexter and Harrison killed Kurt. Dexter kills Angela in the woods in an attempt to save Harrison from jail time, but also doesn’t want to lose someone again who finally understands him as he had to kill his brother the ice truck killer in season one, but Harrison sees Angela dead and realizes how Dexter broke the code and shoots Dexter with the rifle he got for Christmas as Dexter is no longer only killing criminals.
No one has mentioned how in the 1st season dexter faints at the super bloody crime scene bc it triggers memories of his mom's murder. Almost the same thing happens to Harrison when he sees Kurt's blood as Dexter dismembers him.
After watching your video I got the uncomfortable feeling that Harrison might kill himself in order to avoid becoming like Dexter - will see ... tomorrow.
The Billionaire has a live feed into Kurt's bunker and has video of Dexter killing Kurt. Angela has Dexter in custody and calls in Miami Metro, but soon after, finds out that the billionaire has taken her daughter Aubrey. Then she sets Dexter free, (rising from the ashes like a Phoenix) to go after the billionaire. But by this time, Batista is hot on Dexter's trail and in an epic ending.... Angel Batista will kill Dexter.
Jace Copes: I hope it’s a good announcement. A new theory is that season 9 never happened, Dexter is in prison awaiting execution and is having hallucinations, then is executed. If that is the ending, they should have left Dexter sitting at a table in the lumber camp all alone. That ending was used years ago on Dallas when Bobby Ewing left the show for a season then came back and the entire previous season was just a dream of Pam’s.

Grew to enjoy Dexter over the years and even understand him. First rule. Dont get caught. Dont feel his son killing him was a satisfying ending. I didnt want Dexter dead. Not u less michael c hall was tired of it. Otherwise he is the best actor for Dexter.
no they used ketamine because its one of the drugs used in lethal injections. and if dexter is really dreaming all of this before he is executed then it makes sense. all the people watching him at his execution like the women in white are nurses. Kurt is the executioner, Harrison is there to see him go, Angela is a CO that works at Iron Lake Prison etc. oh yeah and that guy who had him in the truck was just a prison guard transporting him in handcuffs to the executioner.

Harrison might be an inmate too that carried around a shank( knife in back pocket) and he just arrived in the prison. That’s how they get to spend so much time together

Apparently I am the only person on the internet who liked how the
original Dexter ended. He was now a lumberjack , no longer living in
Miami, or working as a blood analyst , but he would still kill the bad
guys who escaped justice. The look in Dexter's eyes
in the final shot of the original series told us with certainty that
Dexter was still Dexter no matter where he was located. Dexter New
Blood proved that theory right.
Obviously do not know how New Blood ends but my guess is both Dexter and Harrison live to kill another day (another season).

Will Harrison try to find Aster and Cody they are not even mentioned in the season I thought they would say maybe a couple of lines about them in the episode that Harrison remembered everything or the start of episode 9. What do you think happened to them and why didnt Harrison just try to find them since it would have been much easier than finding his father also why didnt the feds just send him to them rather than a foster home.
That's what I want to know. I wouldn't mind having a whole episode dedicated to showing Harrison's past montage. It would've been a great character builder than all the school stuff they put in.

@@pattiebee9703 The guy was able to track his father who was in hiding he also knew who his mother was plus Hannah would have told him about Aster and Cody so in today's age with things like facebook he would have easily tracked them down its how he tracked down his father. They were in the old series but in new blood they would have given something that Dexter never faced or even felt a sense of consiquenses for what he did and what better way to end the show than for Dexter to be killed by Harrison for not only fitting the code but also for getting his mother killed and leaving him and his siblings without a mother.

@Delana Taylor Online I'm leaning towards Logan being more of an unwitting accomplice. He doesn't really know what Kurt did, but his extreme loyalty to the Caldwell family (something they've emphasized multiple times) will lead him to go rogue and hunt Dexter down. This will force either Harrison or Dexter to kill Logan out of self-preservation.
I have a feeling that Angela will be convinced that Dexter is a killer and try and pin him down, until he shows her "what true evil looks like" and she sees Kurt's collection and possibly frees Dexter. I don't know if they kill her or if she just let's Dex go due to him killing Kurt and avenging Iris, but I'm leaning like 70/30 she dies. As per usual can't have someone who knows who Dex really is stay alive.
@@Regitron3000 yeah I truly believe that Dexter's held accountable for the Bay Harbor Butcher murders including the murders in New Blood (meaning the feds get involved). I believe he's imprisoned and that's the end of Dexter. Unless they start a whole new series with Harrison, this is the last episode indefinitely. I don't understand why because it's so successful, but I think that is the reality here.
Perhaps the gun gets turned on Harrison by the accomplice. So, similarly to S4, Dexter thinks that he's handled the situation but he didn't account for the accomplice who could kill Harrison with Dex knowing and creating a mirror ending to Season 4- him losing Harrison too because he was caught up in his active addiction of killing. The show's story is very heavily a metaphor for addiction so it would make sense for history to repeat itself, and to a worse degree, now that he has fallen hard off the wagon.

Even if Angela believed Kurt about Iris, it’s still other girls missing so that doesn’t fully explain the switch up with only being focused on Dexter and not the “other” missing girls.
I distinctly remember hearing Clive talk the day before the season 4 finale that what happens in that episode will blow people's minds. He said it on a tv interview, one I can't find.

Some other Dexter yt video has an outstanding theory. It explains and damn near convinced me that Dexter is really on death row and has been hallucinating the entire season on the drug they give him before his execution. It said because some things didn't add up. How did his kid find him from the internet really. Why would Molly be there for some kid being killed in anywhere USA? Dexter is really admitting to his son from his last visit with Harrison. Kurt is really the guy who administers the Execution or his the medical person who administers it. It goes on and on. Interesting
Either way would be disappointing for me...similar to s8, or ending with Dex getting executed and new blood is all but just a hallucination. I'd bet it continues and this season's finale is more or less pedestrian and not shocking. It was hyperbolic and marketing to keep everyone old (and new) watchers hyped.

So does that mean Harrison might kill somebody that we would never expect. Or does it mean that there is going to be an accident at the intervention without the stop sign in front of Leo’s package store. Which Dexter mentions in the first episode. Either way the gun is going to come into play somehow.

This is a brilliant collection of details that people are bitching about as bad writing or completely misunderstood. Awesome job. I like that they gave details about Ketamine and that it was used because of MCH's song. I like that they said the envelope was Kurts, I like they clarified that we were not supposed to know Harrison's true feelings, that Kurt killed Molly, etc. I think it must be very hard to see fans get confused or what not after a show comes out and they have no way to course correct or fix issues fans are seeing in real time. I think of these podcasts as actually canon and gives more details for those that couldn't be in the show. Brilliant.

That's wild that Angela bought Kurt's story and didn't question why he lied about Matt when she was getting close to the cave.
There is no indication that Angela "bought" Kurt's story... She's probably still convinced of his guilt. She's simply not able to make anything stick because the DNA evidence could point to his dad... she wouldn't get a conviction due to reasonable doubt so there is no point.

It is Jonah Mitchell that returns in the finale. Here is why:
1. In Episode 10 of Season 4, Dexter confronts Jonah at the Mitchell household saying "You can help put an end to it.... the sins of your father". This directly references the title of the finale episode, "Sins of the Father".
2. Brando Eaton posted two pictures of him and Michael C. Hall on Instagram roughly 1 year ago, which is when New Blood started filming. One of them was speculating about the new upcoming series.
My thoughts are he comes back and kills either Dexter or Harrison to avenge the murder of his father.

I have been thinking about this while watching this reboot/return of Dexter. When dexter first meets Harrison in “Dexter :New Blood”, Harrison tells Dexter his Stepmom (Hannah) died of cancer. That reminded me of what Dexter does to Camilla Figg in season three. She work at Miami Metro Police and was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Dexter said he would help her and put an assisted suicide drug in a slice of Key Lime Pie, her fave. He did that and she passed away peacefully. Why do I feel like Harrison did something like that to Hannah. It is another sign Harrison would have a dark passenger. And remember Hannah was not mentally well either. She had confessed to Dexter that she liked to kill too, in which made him love her and trust her with Harrison. Yet, don’t know if Harrison learned tricks from her on how to kill. I always wondered that too when they had Harrison as a character in this one.
Another thing, I have a gut feeling we might see Batista in the finale. As you said, they wrote a scene with him talking to here on the phone. She was looking more into the Bay Harbor butcher scenarios at the end of last weeks show. So, she might call him to pick his brain about Dexter. She didn’t look too happy at the end of the episode there.
I was a little annoyed/disappointed with the "You're already dead" answer because it was so similar to Trinity saying "It's already over".
Angela confronts Dexter, unravels the Bay Harbor Butcher mystery in front of Dexter and Harrison, and is ready to arrest him. But instead Harrison pulls out the rifle and has her run, Kurt style. Dexter has a decision to make....let Harrison become Kurt and preserve his secret or save his son from darkness only to seal his fate. After the finale is concluded, right before the credits roll, Masuka shows up looking for his Merry F'in Cousin.

I believe Harrison will snipe Angela like Kurt did those girls, in the season trailer you see Harrison put on the white ski mask, (I went through all the episodes and dexter has on a gold watch, Harrison watch is covered up by his sleeve) dexter finds Angela and takes her cop car to dispose of her body and/or car… that’s probably why he has blood on his face, I think that’s when he gets caught with the gun in the car and the police shoot him in the head like Deb did him when he was contemplating confessing to her…

I usually listen to both of these podcast too (and participate on Dissecting Dexter - calling in as Dez!) but this week I was so mad at Dexter and his choices that I couldn’t even tune in to enjoy them. So glad you were able to wet the whistle with some goodies!! I’m so glad they laid to rest the “Harrison killed Hannah” theory. I always hated that one because it comes out of nowhere! Just the bored bloodlust of an audience waiting for their kills. I’m not bothered by the Ketamine switch out. They know the audience isn’t dumb, instead it’s a fun little Easter Egg!

My random Internet breaking theory is as follows....
Dexter kills Angela by accident while trying to hunt Logan after finding out he had been helping Kurt to lure girls. He got messed up in his youth by Kurt when in the Wrestling team just like Kurt tried with Harrison. In the process Dexter breaks his own code. He sets things up so it looks like Kurt killed her but Harrison and Audrey find out. Dexter and Logan end up on Harrison's table. Dexter confesses to killing Angela along with starting the events leading to his Ritas death via Trinity. Audrey and Harrison kill him and him and Logan. Dexter is at peace with it before becoming Harrison dark passenger. Just before he dies he has flashbacks to all the good people he had caused to die in over the years. Cue Doaks saying "Goodbye Mother Trucker" just before the end as a play on words from his best line. Dexter smiles.
Audrey and Harrison dispose of the bodies before going forward with their own code.
Dexter pops up in Harrisons thoughts to congratulate him.
The end.

Maybe its dumb but I Just realized what everyone has been meaning about Dex twisting the story about the trinity killer. He said he killed him for what he did to rita. But he only found out about Rita after he killed trinity. Don't know how I missed that.. even after people explaining it to me.

I want Showtime to jump the shark completely, back up the stunt bike, jump the tank again, and just bring back all of Miami Metro that’s still alive. Have Harrison become a cop, Dex go back to being a blood spatter analyst, whatever, I don’t care. The actors are phenomenal and I want it all back. Fuck it, bring Deb back from the dead while we’re at it. Jennifer Carpenter is easily 50% of the reason I watched.

It was unrealistic how clear-headed Kurt was when he came round from the ket. He would have been totally disoriented to begin with and would have taken 10's of minutes to gather the wherewithal to even remember who he is let alone understand where he is and what is going on.
There’s many unrealistic but like that throughout the show. When Dexter hits Matt in the face with his gun it was very unrealistic. He stumbles backwards then goes unconscious several seconds after being struck. He would have been knocked out immediately. Also, people who get knocked out like that usually don’t stay unconscious for more than a few dozen seconds. But somehow Dexter sets up his whole kill room after hitting Matt with his gun. If someone is KO’d for 20-30 minutes they would have to have catastrophic brain trauma.
What a great season after so many years...however, I just saw the season finale and whilst I wont comment on that....I am not sure how you can beat it if there is a next season?
My theory is that Angela has proof Dexter and Harrison killed Kurt. Dexter kills Angela in the woods in an attempt to save Harrison from jail time, but also doesn’t want to lose someone again who finally understands him as he had to kill his brother the ice truck killer in season one, but Harrison sees Angela dead and realizes how Dexter broke the code and shoots Dexter with the rifle he got for Christmas as Dexter is no longer only killing criminals.
First rule of the code is don't get caught so he not breaking the code

Jace Copes: I hope it’s a good announcement. A new theory is that season 9 never happened, Dexter is in prison awaiting execution and is having hallucinations, then is executed. If that is the ending, they should have left Dexter sitting at a table in the lumber camp all alone. That ending was used years ago on Dallas when Bobby Ewing left the show for a season then came back and the entire previous season was just a dream of Pam’s.
