There's a lot of little details that could come back around to be important in the end, but not much in the trailer that is connected to any of them. It still feels like things could go in multiple directions in relation to Angela and Kurt. Should be fun to watch these final two episodes. Let me know what you think.
I think if there’s no additional season with Dexter, it should end with Kurt killed and Dexter and Harrison leaving town to start a new life somewhere else. I don’t think they can prove Dexter was the BHB.
I'm fairly convinced Harison will kill someone, like Angela maybe as she is getting close (Harison could be trying to protect Dexter), and Dexter will take the rap to protect Harison. It will be discovered that Angela was investigating Dexter's link to the Bay Harbour Butcher and the truth will come out
What about a) Hannah? b) Harrison’s years after Hannah, before his, Harrison’s, arrival in Iron Lake? c) Dexter the character should not leave us all-not like this. Years being separated from someone he seemed to have wholeheartedly loved-Hannah, given up, and I understand that Debra’s death was a traumatic tailspin, but an entire decade’s worth of time to protect them from he himself, whilst he, Dexter, was inside the US borders maintaining a covert life as an upstanding citizen…? Dexter is neither a psychopath nor, as Hannah knew, a serial killer with one drive being to kill, serially. Whatever second hand nonsense Dr Vogel and Dexter’s Father came up with, it disallowed anything that might disprove, or even threaten, her grinchy, greedy-as-Tea-for-me-tea-for-all-of-Miami-too, screw bienvenidos and-if-you-don’t-fit-screw-you-too, hence allowing Dexter to explain that he would never hurt Debra’s doggie was as wild a proposition as Dexter’s Dad was never allowed to offer by saying, ‘That’s wrong-don’t do that Dexter.‘ Now, however, Dexter can tell Harrison, ‘I didn’t have to live like this-I didn’t, I stopped it, for a decade.’ and, with an apology for the time wasted, it just might prove a more workable plan for Harrison. Especially since it’s, you know, the truth.
Same. I love it. The location and snowy scenery is a huge plus. Not many shows have good locations and like breaking bad the location is a huge part of the show. It’s a huge part of storytelling and putting the viewer in the scenes with the character’s.
Not sure how I feel about it still. Maybe in the first episode I could chalk it up to being rusty, but Dexter has been so sloppy in his execution(not wearing gloves when he breaks into Kurt’s office, not double checking the blood trail he left). I’d still like to know who was stalking Dexter in the woods from episode 1. We are lead to believe it was Harrison.
One thing I gotta give the writers credit for, is the show's unpredictability. I have literally no idea how this season will conclude. I love the guessing game
My guess is that Mollys podcast actually paints BHB in a positive light. Then Angela figures out it’s Dexter. Dexter and Harrison kill Kurt. Angela let’s them go because they cleaned up Iron Lake as long as they never come back. It’s hard to predict. Also Clancy is only in 9 episodes. He is going to die this week for sure.
The Molly storyline is stupid. It’s completely unrealistic that any police chief would give a crime podcaster detailed information about a active case. They’d never go to a crime convention together and seek out a missing person together.
It’s silly to think that Dexter killed 83 people ( according to an interview with Michael C. Hall) and the entire Miami police force couldn’t figure out he was the killer. Yet when he moves to this messed up little town and one small time cop can figure out he’s the BHB in like 3 episodes. Highly unlikely. Cold case files takes years to solve.
I too was thinking Kurt had Molly on the table on that phone call. She wasn’t in this episode or scenes from next week. Maybe not. But it would make sense. He won’t let her go after she saw all of that probably
During Angela's search of dexter in episode 8 it shown an online article mentioning him and Masuka briefly, I wonder if she gets in contact with him and he plays a part in the final episode 🤔
This is possible, especially considering the fact that the actor who plays Masuka posted pictures of him on the set of New Blood before it started airing.
Michael C Hall was recently promoting Dexter on one of the morning shows and was talking about the finale beeing "satisfying" unlike the previous season. Dexter was surpressing his "dark passenger" for so long, blaming himself for the death of Rita. And freaking Deb aka Miss Guilt Trip is not helping. I think Dexter is finally going to embrace his dark passenger as Harrison accepts him and loves him as he is, the real Dexter Morgan. Btw Kirk, being a hunter probably emblalms and makes girl head trophies to mount on the wall in his underground man cave. That's why he was so pissed when the girl got shot in the eye

What I think it may happen is some Audrey kidnap. I think Kurt will take her, or something, and the final ep goes from there. Molly is probably dead by now, and something needs to happen to Angela team up with Dexter. Either this or the last ep will be some Dexter's fall... but if this is the case... Kurt will die soon enough.
interesting you say that molly is (probably) dead now. that seems to be the leading theory on reddit based on the actress not being listed for the last two episodes. we all seem to be jumping to the same conclusion.
That, along with the death of her childhood friend, would definitely enhance the possible outcome that although Angela may figure out that he’s indeed the BHB, that she would look the other way to allow for future season(s) down the road. And to end the season, Dexter confesses to her that he is/was the BHB and explains how he became to be that way and the code he was taught. I mean, if a Dexter really existed and someone really took a step back to think about the lives he saved opposed to the lives he took, it seems that quite probable that some might choose to look the other way. Especially someone who was directly and deeply affected by a pleasure killer. In Angela’s case, it’s the sole reason she became a cop. Either way, it’s been fun and excited to see where they go with this.

And Angela is so similar to Debra it seems they purposefully tried to replace her with someone nearly identical because people were complaining that the show wouldn't be fun without her. So i think she will look away and quickly become just like Deb was just before she died.

I do not want a Harrison spin off and I fear they may be heading down that way! I personally didn't like S5... S6 had potential with the religious killers and brother Sam but bad writting same goes for S7 and S8... There were good and bad things to the latter seasons, but 1-4 were elite especially S4... This season has been brilliant though, edge of your seat stuff as its been unpredictable... I just love Michael C Halls portrayal of Dexter, he's flipping brilliant!

If Hannah adopted him as Harrison claims, then wouldn’t he surviving blood relatives have to give consent for him to be adopted? You forgot one major factor. Money! Showtime is a business organisation. Why would they want to kill this show for good? The ending will bring closure but will also be somewhat open like Dexter is presumed dead but we don't get to see a body...

The show was written and shot before ratings and critics reviews come purring in. Unless they reshot ending or already shot multiple endings, this can be absolutely final season.
I feel like the most shocking ending would be for Lumen to return somehow since she's really the only living person who knows the real Dexter but I don't know how or why she would.

@@LudmilaT. Harrison can’t become “the new Dexter” in 2 episodes. It took Dexter years to truly learn and master the code and control her urges. It would make no sense to just kill of Dexter and have Harrison take his place when he’s barely even learned the code or how to control himself.
I think Dex doesn't need to be aged down for the possible flashback, because it's going to be a meta-narrative of sorts. Dexter will talk to the camera aka. Harrison while describing the clown case. Aging him down wouldn't be necessary for that setup.
Molly is alright gone. When Kurt's handyman was calling him the first time playing country music Kurt was mummifying Molly. He got her after she left the pub with Angela at the end of ep-7.
What if the Mr. Wiggles flashback is the very first kill we ever saw Dexter do in the original series Season 1 Episode 1? Remember he had the guy up against the wall in a room with all the little dead boys? I'm wondering if that is the flashback we are seeing.
That 1st guy was a pastor and it's clear Dexter is about to kill the clown then and there, not later on at the spot in s1e1. So that's unlikely, but it would be cool if it's connected to a plot from the original show!
family business will provably refer to Caldwell being part of a serial killer family like Texas chainsaw massacre. Iris was Kurt's first kill. He had the gun ready to go cause that was his intention all along. His dad used to kill hookers, then passed on the torch to Kurt. Iris was to be his first kill almost like when a lion gives their cub their first wounded animal for them to practice on. Kurt's dad passed on the torch to him. Now Dexter and Harrison are in the same position, will Harrison go in on the family business too? Also Angela is going to be put into a situation where she's gonna have to make another call to Dexter, except this time she's gonna be like, I don't need Dexter Morgan...I need the Bay Harbor Butcher.
The show really likes showing childhood trauma resulting in someone becoming a serial killer with specific type of person, way to kill, and a ritual around it. It's what they do over and over again. The serial killer archetype. I don't see the authors changing that now. They did that with Harrison too. They are most likely to just stick with the story that Kurt was abandoned by his mother and traumatized by his father beating up prostitutes.

But we did see him on the phone wearing his blue clothes that he uses to work on the bodies after he shoots them... This time we never saw who he was working on. But I'm willing to guess he was cutting up the steaks that he and Harrison ate at dinner lol.
Kurt kills the girls for Edwards Olsen's private 'doll' collection. Molly is the latest addition. Angela shops Dexter to Angel as the BHB but he already figured it out after Deb's death, choosing not to pursue believing Dex to be dead - leaving him with a difficult choice. The shipping container setting and the removed blood from the girls must be significant to Dexter's ending or rebirth. Would have liked another season to truly wrap it up with his Miami past and see their relationship develop. Would history repeat itself, Harry killed himself once he saw Dexter kill by the code. Could be how Dexter reacts if Harrison follows in his footsteps. Or will Harrisons not be able to live with the truth?
I wasn't sure about a Season 9 of Dexter after all these years. At first, I couldn't get into this new season, so many elements were missing, eg the characters that we got to know and love when he was in Miami. I think it was Ep 6 that finally hooked me. Brilliant writing and storytelling,, lots of twists and turns as we have seen before. I haven't got a clue how this will end, and will it end? I expect it will leave many of us wanting more. @@susanmetz9892 They may have made attempts to, I guess Hannah chose to keep Harrison for herself and not give him up, as he was the closest thing she had to Dexter, we know how she resourceful she can be when she wants to. I am still not sure how Harrison found Jim so easily.
If molly were to disappear though, that would throw Angela off Dex and back on Kurt. Say Angela calls to talk about BHB case, Molly doesn't answer, week goes by, and Angela does her cop thang or contracts Dex to help with pinning Kurt for it. The only way Dex kills Kurt himself is if he is provoked via Harrison and has valid case for self-defense. Angela knows that Kurt is sus, and she knows Dex was in his crosshairs for helping Molly. Plus, Kurt stripped his kill room, which Dex discussed exclusively with Angela being "something to hide". Dex should focus on Harrison right now. He's drawing a lot of attention to himself, which Dex does NOT want. He needs to teach Harrison to live under the radar. Perhaps, Dex evolves the code to his own. I have a ton of theories though, just can't cover then all lol.
I think the fact about the polaroid pictures being present when he killed this clown character, points to the fact that the clown could've been dexter's first formal kill, and he still uses this pictures as an homage to his first kill, lots of serial killers in the show have some repeated ritual reminiscent of their first kill
Family business. Dexter has always liked to bring up multiple subject on the same theme, so I bet they will do a flashback with Kurt hunting someone when his son was younger, and he either involved his son, or his son saw.
So many possibilities... If writers go "Dexter is cough and go to jail" on finale then it would be cool to have season 2 focus on law and cratering thing' "like BHB was not only one person job, or ritual thing created by Evelyn Vogel" and Dexter telling truth mixed with lies and then go to the story of Lumen... and she shows up in the show and telling court that he saved her also TT killer family, "the Jesus" kid shows up on Dexter side, and more pp that we are not aware off... just one of many ideas... it would be cool to watch ^^
Okay so, I was watching and I saw where the clown was making that kid a balloon. That looks like Cody from Paul and Rita's marriage! Is it just me? I've seen this cut from the show already like 20 times and it's just now hitting me! Could they have possibly filmed the show about him killing Mr. Wiggles but never put it out? Because if that is Cody, he looks like he did at the beginning of the series.
Maybe the "Merry Christmas, see you around" wink and finger gun wasn't pointed at Harrison, but actually Audry? Then the last episode is Harrison planning, hunting and killing him to protect her and Dexter will have been killed already becoming the invisible friend like the dad in the regular Dexter seasons.
I hope dexter doesn't die but I also have this feeling Harrison kills him. I'm also extremely grateful they did this. They didn't have to make 10 episodes (praying for another season, doubtful) I'm sure they got paid well, but again micheal wasn't obligated to do this
Dexter and the clown stuff is either Dexter describing a previous kill to Harrison or Angela imagining Dexter go after the clown while listening to Molly's podcast.

I think Kurt took out Molly and by doing that ends Molly's investigation into proving that it was indeed Jim Lindsey/Dexter Morgan who is the Bay Harbor Butcher.
I think he's preserving the bodies to sell on to that billionaire that randomly came into an early episode, I'm sure his name was on that cheque for 5K that Dexter found in Kurt's draw
He’s irrelevant. He was the token social construct bad guy so Hollywood could push their agenda. Nothing more. They only used him to spout global warming environmental boogy man shit.
Angela has to die or embrace Dexter. The best way to do this is to put her daughter in jeopardy with Harrison and Dexter trying to save the day. This will end in some sort of tragedy. A lot of time was dedicated early in the season to Edward. If there is a season 2, I suspect he will be the main villain and may make an appearance in the last episode.
@@PetePeppers1 I thought he would go into hiding and Dexter &son would find him as well as his "girls". At this point he tried to shoot Harrison so there every reason to arrest him. I guess Dexter must keep quiet becuase Kurt knows about Matt.
Great preview as usual. Thank you! So... my sense is that Dex and or Harrison will find a way to "frame" Kurt after they, and Angela, etc., discover his kill room/bunker. I figure Molly will be discovered there, which will strengthen the theory/story that Kurt is the "bad guy," and not Dex. They will explain away the Bay Harbor Butcher stuff and point all the evidence to Kurt. Not sure how they can/will place Kurt in Florida during that time frame though... but we'll see I guess. The only thing I can think of that might blow this theory is Angela's discovery of the needle marks on the necks of two characters. Not sure how they will explain that. Overall... I have REALLY enjoyed this season. Very unpredictable and really fun to watch.
I’m thinking that if he confesses or gets caught, Batista will come to take him back to Miami. I think he will get caught rather than die. I don’t like the idea of Harrison taking over after Dexter dying and being his conscience. Only because it’s been done with his dad, Deb etc. Seems too predictable as well. Loving this season though- I don’t want it to end.
I am thinking The Family Business could also be Kurt's stuff. Something twisted is profitable. His wealth was partially explained as well as his background. I am really enjoying this season. I think Molly was on the table and Audrey may be killed too to flush out Harrison. Angela will see that Dexter kills bad people and after seeing what happened to her best friend.. she might get it.. I am also wondering if the flashback is being told to Angela also. She and Dexter look pretty comfortable on that couch presuming she knows he is a serial killer.? Just guessing. Again I love this show. I don't want Dexter to get killed. My preferred ending is Dexter walks away from the camera with his son and disappear into a crowd of people. And he is not being chased . He is on a mission that will bring him into another city or town to do what he do.
Angela will catch him, but will see him as a necessary evil for solving Iris' murder and let him go on the condition to leave Iron Lake and never come back. But it will be too late: by then she would have involved Batista, and Quinn will make a come back with enough evidence this time to start a full blown investigation, they will find Kurt's dismembered body and here come the magic words: Nationwide Manhunt. This will open the door for a new season, Showtime can't turn a blind eye on such opportunity with the success of New Blood.

It’s stupid to think that Harrison was essentially kidnapped by Hannah during the hurricane, and yet his grandparents and siblings never looked for him. He was a child. How would Hannah even be able to adopt him? He had living blood relatives and Hannah has a criminal record. There are to many loose ends where Harrison is concerned.
How I think it goes. Kurt captures Dex and Harrison and forces Dexter to go underground into his bunker leaving Harrison vulnerable. Harrison ends up getting the upper hand and kills Kurt. Angela's research leads her to show up just after that to confront Dexter and/or Harrison, leaving it as a cliffhanger for the final episode.
I think the daughter will be kidnapped and Dexter and Harrison will kill Kurt in front of Angela and the daughter when they save her. They will all become a family of Balanced Justice. They will all work together.
Here’s what I don’t get. Harrison was essentially kidnapped by Hannah when the hurricane hit. If she thought Dexter was dead, then why didn’t she return Harrison to his grandparents? Why didn’t the grandparents or his siblings go looking for Harrison. He was a child.
Hey Pete, I disagree with you on the Molly topic, and here is why: The very last thing in episode 7 we see Kurt doing, was eyeing Molly in a very sinister way. The first thing we see Kurt doing in episode 8 was "handling" a body. We don't see Molly and apparently her next appearance will be in episode 10. I think Angela will witness Dexter off Kurt, but then see Molly's body in a display case and that will make her let Dexter. And the ending of Dexter will be in Harrison's hands. Will Harrison end Dexter because he fits the code? Or will there be a second season for Dexter to train Harrison? Only time can tell :O.
It's possible he already killed Molly but I think there will have to be more to it. She wasn't that close with Angela so I thought her information would be more valuable, but we'll find out soon.
Here is how I think this episode will go. After the Christmas party Dexter and Harrison go looking to get info on Kurt not realizing the chief is following. They go into the bunker and when chief is going down they think it's Kirk and split and Kirk finds the chief and knocks her out and locks her in the death room. Dexter realizes chief is missing and assumes Kirk. The last episode will be Dexter and Harrison saving the chief just as Molly's podcast says Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher. Because they just saved her life and the feelings she has toward Dexter and Harrison she let's them leave. You can have Kirk get away and the final bit of the season could be Harrison walking up to Kurt in some remote place while Dexter sticks a needle in his neck. Coming to he's on a table with Dexter describing how he gets away with it. Father then looks proudly as Harrison makes his first kill with dad.

I remember seeing in one of the first promoting new season trailers, Batista saying to his team "we have informations that Dexter is alive and living somewhere in the woods of a mountain village"... is Angela going to reveal her info to Batista trying to get some background info about Dexter... and maybe share her theory for BHB ? Or simply that Dexter is alive and hiding there ?! Or maybe even worst... Harrison does not have any dark passenger but he's helping Batista to find Dexter and the truth... ?! Omg, I wouldn't like that last theory... Or maybe they find the truth about Kurt, and Angela reveals that Dexter Morgan helped her to find the forensic infos... but I think the story would go a bit south with Dexter getting involved with the "end" of Kurt and interfere with Angela's investigation... Is there a SEASON 2 ??!!
I think the show has created 2 endings, just in case the powers that be don't want the season to be a wrap. Based on the ratings, they may have to use the alternative ending to continue the show. I think either Molly is already dead, or she or Angela's daughter will end up in one of those cases. The daughter would definitely persuade Angela to allow Kurt to be killed, her best friend, about 20 innocent women/girls, and someone she knows. That would be the final push to end him as he got away with Iris killing on a technicality. There are only 2 ways it can end for Dexter, dead, becoming Harrison's dark passenger enabling the show to continue with the character in tow. Or he lives but is imprisoned, becoming a source to hunt/profile other serial killers ala Mindhunter territory. I definitely feel like the billionaire is involved. I think he is the collector of the runaways in the display case. This creates another problem, he wouldn't be on code; he hasn't harmed, tortured, or killed anyone. He just keeps the bodies, so how could Dexter justify killing him when he is neither serial killer, torturer, or rapist.
Angela will end up shooting Dexter in a trailer (like Debra should've) so it like makes amends for Debra shooting the wrong person. Harrison'll prob kill Kurt using the code. Harrison sobs over his dad dying. The end.
This has been a great series. Love the way they have made this feel fresh. Hardcore fans like me appreciate this show and hope it continues for many more. Brilliant writing and acting 👏👏👏👏👏
I want to open this up, as this absolutely doesn't feel like a one and done season. I feel like episode 9 Dexter and Harrison both kill Kurt. Angela will either find them killing Kurt or she's finding Hillbilly Joker's body. Which has Dexter's blood all over the scene. I'm also at the point where the Billionaire is either a Red herring. Or he is going to set up season 2. With two episodes left there isn't much left for him besides those options.
I've read that there is two different endings depending on the amount of viewers. One ends the story while the other continues it. We just gotta wait and see.

This season is so freaking good! I totally love Dexter! I need Dexter to quickly put Kurt on his table! I think Kurt is going to kill Angela or her daughter and Harrison and Dexter are going to snap!

Theory In one of the trailers Dexter is seen putting the same white ski mask Kurt uses when he kills people. From the looks If it Dexter will be the one to kill him at dexters cabin.
It would tie up nicely if Kurt killed Harrison just before Dexter got there, Dexter saw the aftermath and killed Kurt for killing his son, then Angela walks in and sees Dexter kill Kurt but as it is obvious Kurt killed Harrison and Iris she calls in that she saw Kurt attacking Dexter and it was self defence.
When Angela figures out Dexters is the BHB What if She tells dexter to kill Kurt because the police don’t have enough evidence to stop Kurt then once Dexter kills Kurt she arrested Dexter and proves he’s the BHB She could basically play Dexter against Kurt to prove he’s the BHB. I hope this doesn’t happen but just crossed my mind
Angela finds out he killed Molly but also finds out dexter is the butcher. She looks the other way because dexter explains hes only killed bad people and that he is going to get revenge for molly.
There's a lot of little details that could come back around to be important in the end, but not much in the trailer that is connected to any of them. It still feels like things could go in multiple directions in relation to Angela and Kurt. Should be fun to watch these final two episodes. Let me know what you think.
I think if there’s no additional season with Dexter, it should end with Kurt killed and Dexter and Harrison leaving town to start a new life somewhere else. I don’t think they can prove Dexter was the BHB.

I'm fairly convinced Harison will kill someone, like Angela maybe as she is getting close (Harison could be trying to protect Dexter), and Dexter will take the rap to protect Harison. It will be discovered that Angela was investigating Dexter's link to the Bay Harbour Butcher and the truth will come out

Years being separated from someone he seemed to have wholeheartedly loved-Hannah, given up, and I understand that Debra’s death was a traumatic tailspin, but an entire decade’s worth of time to protect them from he himself, whilst he, Dexter, was inside the US borders maintaining a covert life as an upstanding citizen…? Dexter is neither a psychopath nor, as Hannah knew, a serial killer with one drive being to kill, serially. Clyde Philip's didnt skip a beat. This season has exceeded my expectations so far
I was on the fence since it was kinda a slow burn but it all seems to pay off.
Same. I love it. The location and snowy scenery is a huge plus. Not many shows have good locations and like breaking bad the location is a huge part of the show. It’s a huge part of storytelling and putting the viewer in the scenes with the character’s.

Not sure how I feel about it still. Maybe in the first episode I could chalk it up to being rusty, but Dexter has been so sloppy in his execution(not wearing gloves when he breaks into Kurt’s office, not double checking the blood trail he left). I’d still like to know who was stalking Dexter in the woods from episode 1. We are lead to believe it was Harrison.
One thing I gotta give the writers credit for, is the show's unpredictability. I have literally no idea how this season will conclude. I love the guessing game

My guess is that Mollys podcast actually paints BHB in a positive light. Then Angela figures out it’s Dexter. Dexter and Harrison kill Kurt. Angela let’s them go because they cleaned up Iron Lake as long as they never come back. It’s hard to predict.
Also Clancy is only in 9 episodes. He is going to die this week for sure.

The Molly storyline is stupid. It’s completely unrealistic that any police chief would give a crime podcaster detailed information about a active case. They’d never go to a crime convention together and seek out a missing person together.

It’s silly to think that Dexter killed 83 people ( according to an interview with Michael C. Hall) and the entire Miami police force couldn’t figure out he was the killer. Yet when he moves to this messed up little town and one small time cop can figure out he’s the BHB in like 3 episodes. Highly unlikely. Cold case files takes years to solve.
I too was thinking Kurt had Molly on the table on that phone call. She wasn’t in this episode or scenes from next week. Maybe not. But it would make sense. He won’t let her go after she saw all of that probably

Michael C Hall was recently promoting Dexter on one of the morning shows and was talking about the finale beeing "satisfying" unlike the previous season. Dexter was surpressing his "dark passenger" for so long, blaming himself for the death of Rita. And freaking Deb aka Miss Guilt Trip is not helping. I think Dexter is finally going to embrace his dark passenger as Harrison accepts him and loves him as he is, the real Dexter Morgan. Btw Kirk, being a hunter probably emblalms and makes girl head trophies to mount on the wall in his underground man cave. That's why he was so pissed when the girl got shot in the eye

What I think it may happen is some Audrey kidnap. I think Kurt will take her, or something, and the final ep goes from there. Molly is probably dead by now, and something needs to happen to Angela team up with Dexter. Either this or the last ep will be some Dexter's fall... but if this is the case... Kurt will die soon enough.
interesting you say that molly is (probably) dead now. that seems to be the leading theory on reddit based on the actress not being listed for the last two episodes. we all seem to be jumping to the same conclusion.
That, along with the death of her childhood friend, would definitely enhance the possible outcome that although Angela may figure out that he’s indeed the BHB, that she would look the other way to allow for future season(s) down the road. And to end the season, Dexter confesses to her that he is/was the BHB and explains how he became to be that way and the code he was taught. I mean, if a Dexter really existed and someone really took a step back to think about the lives he saved opposed to the lives he took, it seems that quite probable that some might choose to look the other way. Especially someone who was directly and deeply affected by a pleasure killer. In Angela’s case, it’s the sole reason she became a cop. Either way, it’s been fun and excited to see where they go with this.

And Angela is so similar to Debra it seems they purposefully tried to replace her with someone nearly identical because people were complaining that the show wouldn't be fun without her. So i think she will look away and quickly become just like Deb was just before she died.
Kurt emerged as my favourite villain in the series next to Trinity Killer. Clancy Brown won my heart with his phenomenal acting.

I personally didn't like S5... S6 had potential with the religious killers and brother Sam but bad writting same goes for S7 and S8... There were good and bad things to the latter seasons, but 1-4 were elite especially S4... This season has been brilliant though, edge of your seat stuff as its been unpredictable... I just love Michael C Halls portrayal of Dexter, he's flipping brilliant!

It’s really silly to think that after Dexter supposedly died in the hurricane, that his grandparents or sibling would never try to find him. If Hannah adopted him as Harrison claims, then wouldn’t he surviving blood relatives have to give consent for him to be adopted? Why would the courts approve an adoption to a woman with a criminal background? Loose ends.
You forgot one major factor. Money! Showtime is a business organisation. Why would they want to kill this show for good? The ending will bring closure but will also be somewhat open like Dexter is presumed dead but we don't get to see a body...

The show was written and shot before ratings and critics reviews come purring in. Unless they reshot ending or already shot multiple endings, this can be absolutely final season.
I feel like the most shocking ending would be for Lumen to return somehow since she's really the only living person who knows the real Dexter but I don't know how or why she would.

@@LudmilaT. Harrison can’t become “the new Dexter” in 2 episodes. It took Dexter years to truly learn and master the code and control her urges. It would make no sense to just kill of Dexter and have Harrison take his place when he’s barely even learned the code or how to control himself.
I think Dex doesn't need to be aged down for the possible flashback, because it's going to be a meta-narrative of sorts. Dexter will talk to the camera aka. Harrison while describing the clown case. Aging him down wouldn't be necessary for that setup.

What if the Mr. Wiggles flashback is the very first kill we ever saw Dexter do in the original series Season 1 Episode 1? Remember he had the guy up against the wall in a room with all the little dead boys? I'm wondering if that is the flashback we are seeing.
That 1st guy was a pastor and it's clear Dexter is about to kill the clown then and there, not later on at the spot in s1e1. So that's unlikely, but it would be cool if it's connected to a plot from the original show!

family business will provably refer to Caldwell being part of a serial killer family like Texas chainsaw massacre. Iris was Kurt's first kill. He had the gun ready to go cause that was his intention all along. His dad used to kill hookers, then passed on the torch to Kurt. Iris was to be his first kill almost like when a lion gives their cub their first wounded animal for them to practice on. Kurt's dad passed on the torch to him. Now Dexter and Harrison are in the same position, will Harrison go in on the family business too? Also Angela is going to be put into a situation where she's gonna have to make another call to Dexter, except this time she's gonna be like, I don't need Dexter Morgan...I need the Bay Harbor Butcher.
The show really likes showing childhood trauma resulting in someone becoming a serial killer with specific type of person, way to kill, and a ritual around it. It's what they do over and over again. The serial killer archetype. I don't see the authors changing that now. They did that with Harrison too. They are most likely to just stick with the story that Kurt was abandoned by his mother and traumatized by his father beating up prostitutes.
I really like this concept, I always thought that Kurt killed the runaways in some kind off twisted attempt to save them from people like his father.

But we did see him on the phone wearing his blue clothes that he uses to work on the bodies after he shoots them... This time we never saw who he was working on. But I'm willing to guess he was cutting up the steaks that he and Harrison ate at dinner lol.

Kurt kills the girls for Edwards Olsen's private 'doll' collection. Molly is the latest addition. Angela shops Dexter to Angel as the BHB but he already figured it out after Deb's death, choosing not to pursue believing Dex to be dead - leaving him with a difficult choice.
The shipping container setting and the removed blood from the girls must be significant to Dexter's ending or rebirth. Would have liked another season to truly wrap it up with his Miami past and see their relationship develop. Would history repeat itself, Harry killed himself once he saw Dexter kill by the code. Could be how Dexter reacts if Harrison follows in his footsteps. Or will Harrisons not be able to live with the truth?

I wasn't sure about a Season 9 of Dexter after all these years. At first, I couldn't get into this new season, so many elements were missing, eg the characters that we got to know and love when he was in Miami. I think it was Ep 6 that finally hooked me. Brilliant writing and storytelling,, lots of twists and turns as we have seen before. I haven't got a clue how this will end, and will it end? I expect it will leave many of us wanting more. I’d like to know why Harrison’s grandparents didn’t go looking for him after Dexter supposedly died in the hurricane. Where are his siblings? Wouldn’t his blood relative have to legally give up rights to him in order for him to be adopted by Hanna? (a criminal).
@@susanmetz9892 They may have made attempts to, I guess Hannah chose to keep Harrison for herself and not give him up, as he was the closest thing she had to Dexter, we know how she resourceful she can be when she wants to. I am still not sure how Harrison found Jim so easily.
If molly were to disappear though, that would throw Angela off Dex and back on Kurt. Say Angela calls to talk about BHB case, Molly doesn't answer, week goes by, and Angela does her cop thang or contracts Dex to help with pinning Kurt for it. The only way Dex kills Kurt himself is if he is provoked via Harrison and has valid case for self-defense. Angela knows that Kurt is sus, and she knows Dex was in his crosshairs for helping Molly. Plus, Kurt stripped his kill room, which Dex discussed exclusively with Angela being "something to hide". Dex should focus on Harrison right now. He's drawing a lot of attention to himself, which Dex does NOT want. He needs to teach Harrison to live under the radar. Perhaps, Dex evolves the code to his own.
I have a ton of theories though, just can't cover then all lol.
I think the fact about the polaroid pictures being present when he killed this clown character, points to the fact that the clown could've been dexter's first formal kill, and he still uses this pictures as an homage to his first kill, lots of serial killers in the show have some repeated ritual reminiscent of their first kill

Family business. Dexter has always liked to bring up multiple subject on the same theme, so I bet they will do a flashback with Kurt hunting someone when his son was younger, and he either involved his son, or his son saw.
So many possibilities... If writers go "Dexter is cough and go to jail" on finale then it would be cool to have season 2 focus on law and cratering thing' "like BHB was not only one person job, or ritual thing created by Evelyn Vogel" and Dexter telling truth mixed with lies and then go to the story of Lumen... and she shows up in the show and telling court that he saved her also TT killer family, "the Jesus" kid shows up on Dexter side, and more pp that we are not aware off... just one of many ideas... it would be cool to watch ^^
Pete. I think that if things close in on Dexter ’s past , he will tell Harrison that he has to disappear again and Harrison choses to go with him.
If Kurt really did get to Molly then it would be reasonable to assume that he also has whatever research she was doing on dexter as well

I think it’s pretty clear he already killed Molly- he was plotting on her and they showed him embalming someone. Chloe’s already been embalmed.
Okay so, I was watching and I saw where the clown was making that kid a balloon. That looks like Cody from Paul and Rita's marriage! Is it just me? I've seen this cut from the show already like 20 times and it's just now hitting me! Could they have possibly filmed the show about him killing Mr. Wiggles but never put it out? Because if that is Cody, he looks like he did at the beginning of the series.
Maybe the "Merry Christmas, see you around" wink and finger gun wasn't pointed at Harrison, but actually Audry? Then the last episode is Harrison planning, hunting and killing him to protect her and Dexter will have been killed already becoming the invisible friend like the dad in the regular Dexter seasons.
I hope dexter doesn't die but I also have this feeling Harrison kills him. I'm also extremely grateful they did this. They didn't have to make 10 episodes (praying for another season, doubtful) I'm sure they got paid well, but again micheal wasn't obligated to do this
Dexter and the clown stuff is either Dexter describing a previous kill to Harrison or Angela imagining Dexter go after the clown while listening to Molly's podcast.

When they get to Kurt's underground lab they will see all the stuffed bodies along with Molly. That would be a big shock. I'm in for this theory
I dont think Dexter dies but, if he does, i think it'll be a scenario where he saves his son. He'll get shot saving Harrison.

I think Kurt took out Molly and by doing that ends Molly's investigation into proving that it was indeed Jim Lindsey/Dexter Morgan who is the Bay Harbor Butcher.
What about the body Dexter just left in a abandoned summer camp. He totally just left if for forensics to find him. Although it was self defense.

Angela has to die or embrace Dexter. The best way to do this is to put her daughter in jeopardy with Harrison and Dexter trying to save the day. This will end in some sort of tragedy. A lot of time was dedicated early in the season to Edward. If there is a season 2, I suspect he will be the main villain and may make an appearance in the last episode.

Great preview as usual. Thank you! So... my sense is that Dex and or Harrison will find a way to "frame" Kurt after they, and Angela, etc., discover his kill room/bunker. I figure Molly will be discovered there, which will strengthen the theory/story that Kurt is the "bad guy," and not Dex. They will explain away the Bay Harbor Butcher stuff and point all the evidence to Kurt. Not sure how they can/will place Kurt in Florida during that time frame though... but we'll see I guess. The only thing I can think of that might blow this theory is Angela's discovery of the needle marks on the necks of two characters. Not sure how they will explain that. Overall... I have REALLY enjoyed this season. Very unpredictable and really fun to watch.

I’m thinking that if he confesses or gets caught, Batista will come to take him back to Miami. I think he will get caught rather than die. I don’t like the idea of Harrison taking over after Dexter dying and being his conscience. Only because it’s been done with his dad, Deb etc. Seems too predictable as well. Loving this season though- I don’t want it to end.
I am thinking The Family Business could also be Kurt's stuff. Something twisted is profitable. His wealth was partially explained as well as his background.
I am really enjoying this season. I think Molly was on the table and Audrey may be killed too to flush out Harrison. Angela will see that Dexter kills bad people and after seeing what happened to her best friend.. she might get it.. I am also wondering if the flashback is being told to Angela also. She and Dexter look pretty comfortable on that couch presuming she knows he is a serial killer.?
Just guessing. Again I love this show. I don't want Dexter to get killed. My preferred ending is Dexter walks away from the camera with his son and disappear into a crowd of people. And he is not being chased . He is on a mission that will bring him into another city or town to do what he do.

Angela will catch him, but will see him as a necessary evil for solving Iris' murder and let him go on the condition to leave Iron Lake and never come back. But it will be too late: by then she would have involved Batista, and Quinn will make a come back with enough evidence this time to start a full blown investigation, they will find Kurt's dismembered body and here come the magic words: Nationwide Manhunt.
This will open the door for a new season, Showtime can't turn a blind eye on such opportunity with the success of New Blood.

It’s stupid to think that Harrison was essentially kidnapped by Hannah during the hurricane, and yet his grandparents and siblings never looked for him. He was a child. How would Hannah even be able to adopt him? He had living blood relatives and Hannah has a criminal record. There are to many loose ends where Harrison is concerned.
In the end Dexter & Harrison will work together in the family business of exterminating evil men..
Maybe Angela just thinks Dexter was Doake's accomplice. Or Dexter is a copycat, cause he knew Doakes so well and has access to Miami files
How I think it goes. Kurt captures Dex and Harrison and forces Dexter to go underground into his bunker leaving Harrison vulnerable. Harrison ends up getting the upper hand and kills Kurt. Angela's research leads her to show up just after that to confront Dexter and/or Harrison, leaving it as a cliffhanger for the final episode.
I think the daughter will be kidnapped and Dexter and Harrison will kill Kurt in front of Angela and the daughter when they save her. They will all become a family of Balanced Justice. They will all work together.

Here’s what I don’t get. Harrison was essentially kidnapped by Hannah when the hurricane hit. If she thought Dexter was dead, then why didn’t she return Harrison to his grandparents? Why didn’t the grandparents or his siblings go looking for Harrison. He was a child.

Hey Pete, I disagree with you on the Molly topic, and here is why: The very last thing in episode 7 we see Kurt doing, was eyeing Molly in a very sinister way. The first thing we see Kurt doing in episode 8 was "handling" a body. We don't see Molly and apparently her next appearance will be in episode 10. I think Angela will witness Dexter off Kurt, but then see Molly's body in a display case and that will make her let Dexter. And the ending of Dexter will be in Harrison's hands. Will Harrison end Dexter because he fits the code? Or will there be a second season for Dexter to train Harrison? Only time can tell :O.
It's possible he already killed Molly but I think there will have to be more to it. She wasn't that close with Angela so I thought her information would be more valuable, but we'll find out soon.
Here is how I think this episode will go. After the Christmas party Dexter and Harrison go looking to get info on Kurt not realizing the chief is following. They go into the bunker and when chief is going down they think it's Kirk and split and Kirk finds the chief and knocks her out and locks her in the death room. Dexter realizes chief is missing and assumes Kirk. The last episode will be Dexter and Harrison saving the chief just as Molly's podcast says Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher. Because they just saved her life and the feelings she has toward Dexter and Harrison she let's them leave. You can have Kirk get away and the final bit of the season could be Harrison walking up to Kurt in some remote place while Dexter sticks a needle in his neck. Coming to he's on a table with Dexter describing how he gets away with it. Father then looks proudly as Harrison makes his first kill with dad.
Plot hole that bothers me. What about the body at the camp? We are just supposed overlook a dead guy as evidence of a murder?

A dusguise maybe. It is a pretty lousy haircut, but he does look more like Harrison because of it.

I remember seeing in one of the first promoting new season trailers, Batista saying to his team "we have informations that Dexter is alive and living somewhere in the woods of a mountain village"... is Angela going to reveal her info to Batista trying to get some background info about Dexter... and maybe share her theory for BHB ? Or simply that Dexter is alive and hiding there ?! Or maybe even worst... Harrison does not have any dark passenger but he's helping Batista to find Dexter and the truth... ?! Omg, I wouldn't like that last theory...
Or maybe they find the truth about Kurt, and Angela reveals that Dexter Morgan helped her to find the forensic infos... but I think the story would go a bit south with Dexter getting involved with the "end" of Kurt and interfere with Angela's investigation...

I think you can forget about Lumen. Her storyline ended.
I think the show has created 2 endings, just in case the powers that be don't want the season to be a wrap. Based on the ratings, they may have to use the alternative ending to continue the show. I think either Molly is already dead, or she or Angela's daughter will end up in one of those cases. The daughter would definitely persuade Angela to allow Kurt to be killed, her best friend, about 20 innocent women/girls, and someone she knows. That would be the final push to end him as he got away with Iris killing on a technicality. There are only 2 ways it can end for Dexter, dead, becoming Harrison's dark passenger enabling the show to continue with the character in tow. Or he lives but is imprisoned, becoming a source to hunt/profile other serial killers ala Mindhunter territory. I definitely feel like the billionaire is involved. I think he is the collector of the runaways in the display case. This creates another problem, he wouldn't be on code; he hasn't harmed, tortured, or killed anyone. He just keeps the bodies, so how could Dexter justify killing him when he is neither serial killer, torturer, or rapist.
Angela will end up shooting Dexter in a trailer (like Debra should've) so it like makes amends for Debra shooting the wrong person. Harrison'll prob kill Kurt using the code. Harrison sobs over his dad dying. The end.

I want to open this up, as this absolutely doesn't feel like a one and done season. I feel like episode 9 Dexter and Harrison both kill Kurt. Angela will either find them killing Kurt or she's finding Hillbilly Joker's body. Which has Dexter's blood all over the scene. I'm also at the point where the Billionaire is either a Red herring. Or he is going to set up season 2. With two episodes left there isn't much left for him besides those options.
I've read that there is two different endings depending on the amount of viewers. One ends the story while the other continues it. We just gotta wait and see.

I hope Dexter does not get caught. I would like to see the series continue with Dexter and Harrison working together.
It would tie up nicely if Kurt killed Harrison just before Dexter got there, Dexter saw the aftermath and killed Kurt for killing his son, then Angela walks in and sees Dexter kill Kurt but as it is obvious Kurt killed Harrison and Iris she calls in that she saw Kurt attacking Dexter and it was self defence.
There better be a season two or I will be PISSED !
When Angela figures out Dexters is the BHB What if She tells dexter to kill Kurt because the police don’t have enough evidence to stop Kurt then once Dexter kills Kurt she arrested Dexter and proves he’s the BHB She could basically play Dexter against Kurt to prove he’s the BHB. I hope this doesn’t happen but just crossed my mind
Angela finds out he killed Molly but also finds out dexter is the butcher. She looks the other way because dexter explains hes only killed bad people and that he is going to get revenge for molly.
