Would have been best to get RPM arms for all 4 corners uppers and lowers right when you got the truck. RPM has proven to be the best. Also get RPM hub carriers for all 4 wheels. Basically what ever RPM has for the Xmaxx, get it.=) Xmaxx's are awesome! Stay safe guys!

Abby spray the Plastics with dw40 it will soften up the plastic so they don't break it fast LOL keep doing a good job good bashing
Spray it with wd-40 and let it sit over night it makes the plastic more flexible and change the gearing to help with back flips. Love the videos keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Hey Abby, if RPM makes suspension arms for it you should get them. As a matter of fact whatever RPM makes for it you should buy.

Use WD4 and wipe or coat your a-arms in it. Let them sit for a couple minutes and then wipe away excess. The WD4 will soften the plastic slightly & make it more pliable so in those big tumbles it flexs a little more before it will break. It works Great!

Cool video. Glad that I wasn’t the only one enjoying the weather today. Have you tried RPM RC aftermarket parts? I’ve used a few of their parts on other vehicles and they seem to hold up better than the OEM.
Not too bad but I've seen some in the 60 to 100 range with similar performance. What do you two think about the traxxas stampede? Last...have you all ever had a drone sub on the channel? I been in the market for one of those. Either a chasing dory or gladius.
I made the plunge 2 days ago and bought an xmaxx 8s used for $650. Possibly the best RC purchase yet. So far I absolutely love the thing but the servo committed toaster bath the third time I drove it so I’m staring at the the massive truck in the floor.

I have a brushless E-revo from 7/8 years ago and it's a blast to bash. I have run it wide open into a cement block wall, jumped a 2 lane road, tumbled it over and over. It's been an absolute blast to drive.

Hey guys. Love the rock and roll body on it. And the tires look awesome. If abby want to commits to backflips get a 20t pinion and 50t spur it will backflip easy and have good speed with no heat issues. And what ever u do dont get the RPM arms, they do not last at all. I broke both front ones first outing after installing them. Stay safe guys and keep bringing us the joy of rc. Also a Proline brute body holds up to the abuse, i had one for a out 2months abusing 4 or 5 times a week.

Are the wheels a lot heavier than the stockers?
Same angle on a landing did the same to my ERevo lower right A arm. Replaced it with an RPM plastic and moved on. Nice truck by the way!
Get the Rpm roof skid bars. They save the body sooooo much. Awesome video! We love our X-Maxx too.
🔥 AWESOME 🔥 I had the TMAX gas powered 20yrs ago and the Rusler The TMAX would fly I raced Losi trucks for about 4yrs from 99 to 04 on off rode tracks here in NC and I raced in VA also at a dirt oval very fun I won the 2003 points championship at Coppers RC in callands VA Love watching you guys have fun thrashing the TRAXXAS lol 👍✌️

Hi. Great video. Just maybe that front arm was made weaker after the crash into the post... I really thought at that point it was video over. I used to have an original Traxxas T-Maxx. I was forever popping the original shocks, so that was a must have upgrade straight out of the box. Sometimes when original parts break, it saves more expensive parts being broken. I learned that the hard way, when I upgraded to alloy parts. It made the truck way more heavy, sluggish and due to the weight, more prone to breaking other parts. As said in previous comments. Those arms are best upgraded to more durable plastic ones. However an all alloy Traxxas truck does look nice on the shelf. Fun times! I'm now trying not to burn a hole in my credit card and buy a nice basher truck... ! :)
Thanks Trevor! And well said regarding part upgrades. That's a smart way of looking at it. Let the cheaper parts break to save the more expensive ones from breaking. Either way, we are excited to get a couple arms ordered and Abby is excited to fix her own truck again. Probably so she can go break it again, Lol 🤣😂👍⚓😎

Yea I have many rc trucks and not many would hold up to an awkward impact like that lol for arms I stay stock and soak them in wd40 over night,and rpm rear hub carriers,other then that mine Is stock and I'm hard as hell on it haha awesome video guys
I have the little brother of the XMaxx, the Maxx and I have some on road belted tires on it, they both of the rigs are beasts and I have been wanting an XMaxx for a while now but my apartment is too small for them both along with my other planes and rigs but I love to see them catching air. Great driving, I usually break things on mine hitting brick mailboxes lol.

Abby and Nate, you might check (RPM) I bought "A" arms for my kraton 4s and they much better than stock. I would think that they would have them for traxxas as well.
May be look at RPM arms, they are molded in a different plastic and possibly a different mold. Some thing else that may help is to boil the arms, it use to be done to make the arms more durable. I am not sure if it works on the newer plastics.

I had the Jato - pretty much broke something each time I took it out. The drivetrain was solid but suspension arms and diff mounts were chocolate. Enjoyed fixing it though.
Ended up putting a steel subframe brace in to sort the diff mounts.
I started in RC back in 1983. I found long ago, use Race cars for bashers, they hold up much better. I started with Tamiya and replaced parts enough times in a year to buy 3 RC10's. Race cars/trucks are more expensive up front but they are built to drive hard and over the course of a season, you will save money. 1985 was the first time I bought a race RC and it was so much better an experience. I got heavy into racing in 1986 and didn't burn out until 2000. I raced against Jammin Jay Halsey ( RC-10 ) and my last race included Richard Saxton in a RC10GT. I still have that RC10GT, with the box. The motor blew ( Novarosi ) up but everything else is sitting just as it did in November 2000. Anyway, when you can, buy a race car/truck and you will have more fun bashing. When I raced 1/8 off-road I had a MP-5 and I could jump that thing 10-12 feet in the air and it NEVER broke. I hit a 4x4 in the ground once at 50-55mph, broke an a-arm and bent the shock tower. That car was around $500 with no motor or radio, but it was durable. Love the videos. Stay safe you guys.

traxxas just came out with some really thick heavy duty suspension plastic arms you guys might wanna look in to lol. You guys are bustin that truck up. Might wanna upgrade your steering tie rods to alloy to. GPM makes them, Hot Racing, Atomik rc, Integy etc.
Fun video!! Maybe having two ramps will help in hitting the ramp. Now it is time to go wrenching.
