HEY!!! DONT CALL ME THAT that’s mean😭
i love trains
I like trains, planes, and automobiles when you can drive for fun and not because you have to
@@Alpine1 bro i related to that so much i just love transportation in general tbh like buses and ships too but trains are def on top
Light rail 👌
@@BANANAMANplzyeees
create mod trains would look so cool in this city, sad that it's only 1.14
I think it's okay if that contemporary skyscraper seen from the Manchester area would stay in its current place. It kinda gives me the vibes of european cities where you can see modern architecture colliding with old one on the same street.
Yes, I had the same vibe when I saw it.
Good point, although I may end up adding different modern ones there instead, I have an idea 👀
What other city tutorials would you like to see? Ideally not something that takes 8 months to build
Something relating to more trainsss trains are the best
Maybe about highways in a more complex way. How to plan them, and the types of intersections and how to integrate them in the city.
@@amb_13I agree. Roundabouts with elevation etc
The airport progress
Elevation changes in the city. Cities are not entirely flat, but to randomly add a small bump of the ground just doesn't right. Please make a lesson on how elevation changes should happen in the city.
Video in a nutshell:
- easy way to make a barbed-wire/chainlink fence w/greenery, surrounding traintracks
- 2 components, fence & greenery
- purpose: hide rail & create transition between two neighbourhoods in Andea
FENCE
1. start & end points
2. 3-4 blocks up
3. //line green (barbed wire)
4. 1 block below, //line yellow (fence)
5. 2 thick (manual)
6. stack down in sections
7. //re green cobweb
8. //re yellow purple_stained_glass_pane (or iron bars)
9. //fixconnect
GREENERY
1. //sel poly
2. //overlay 0,0,fern,fern,grass,carrots,beetroots,0,0
3. //re 2 2,green_concrete_powder,mycelium
4. small trees, //copy -b w/1 block air below
6. /tool clipboard -o -a, then add trees
Repeat 4-6 for larger trees, less frequently
Making a city, these tutorials help with 50% of the works! Thanks Alpine!
Happy to help!
Prefect time, just finished my King’s Cross station in my city, thanks man, keep up the good work
Wow thank you! This helped me a bunch. Keep up the great work!
I think you could select the original line and then //move it by 1 in wanted direction with gmask set to air so it doesn't break the original blocks.
Edit: first move ONLY the line up in the sky and do what i said before (now it wont duplicate any other blocks that might be in range of selection), and then move the final product down.
4:00
You can do this more efficiently using world edit using the //stack command and stacking them horizontally by 1. Just make sure to do so in the right direction (long).
Learning a lot from you king! 👑
alpine you are the best i love your videos and they are so relaxing and useful so thx so much
You can use the replace command to replace all air blocks a certain direction of a block to another block and to replace under do the same thing but use < so //replace “air
Really nice! The only thing is that I guess I could really mess up with worldedit without seeing my selections...
Foamers like me are MAD at YOU for hiding the trains.
My way of doing that is more work, because I prefer to stay in cuboid selection, but it works.
1. Select the line.
2. Paste high in the sky.
3. Remove any buildings or hills you copied parts out of.
4. Copy the line.
5. Paste one block forward overlaid over your original line.
6. Copy your new line with thickening bits.
7. Paste back into the original setting minus air.
Second option if you have a clear path to the ground:
1. Build the beginning and end of your fence high above the city.
2. Line tool in wool.
3. copy line and paste one forward.
4. Stack down 3.
5. Remove tall towers.
6. Convert top line to #1 concrete powder
7. Convert bottom lines to #2 concrete powder.
8. Let the wall fall and follow your contours.
It would be so cool if cubed pack was updated to the newest versions because of more blocks but mainly because of 3D biomes which I imagine to be a game changer for the pack
Unfortunately the versions after 1.14.4 lack 1x1 biomes which without that it sorta breaks lots of the biome capabilities
Yeah Brodie is right, since our pack is so fine tuned with biomes, the randomness of new biomes makes it difficult to transfer. There is the possibility, however, to use a server-side datapack, but from my understanding it would not work anywhere outside of the Cubed server. I can’t promise anything because I don’t have anything to do with the development of the pack, but maybe we’ll get a simplified version someday for users with lower-end machines
you can solve the line problem by repeating the line moved one block into the steeper direction, so on one side you select the second block, on the other side, you add a new block
I know u told me before that you've got big plans, but u should definitely start a new solo city.
Thank you for teaching the community, I just joined your discord server. I hope you guys can give me tips on my builds in the feature.
literally "Home Alone"'s house
Can u make a video on how to plan neighborhoods and how to make them.
hey so i was wondering if you have any videos or plans to make videos on more European architecture? Specifically for more temperate, rainy climates like Ireland/ I'd love to build somewhat realistic cities but a lot of the city refs are of American buildings. For an example, a lot of sunshades have gaps, but in places like Ireland it'd have to be glass due to often rain, but simply filling the gaps with glass looks weird. I'd love to see your take on buildings for these climates, due to your architectural knowledge :]
I love the idea that manchester is in the 19th century
youre my fav youtuber and when i get my first paycheck ill try to donate on your patron
Thanks! I shut down my patreon but I’m probably starting TH-cam members soon for gaming videos, probably gonna play subnautica
4:00 havent tried this but could work, couldnt you just put the first and second position of the worldedit one block next to the line you already did to add another parralell with it then it will be thick enough?
always really helpfull
Happy to help! :)
TRAINS!
not sure if the creator of this channel reads the comments much, but if so, here's a video topic suggestion: how to make a map for citygoers so they can find landmarks easier! i am using the xaero's worldmap mod, but i'd prefer not to just take a screenshot of a map with some waypoints on it.
you need to make a whole video about worldedit commands
I have one! It’s pretty old though but still useful
th-cam.com/video/Q2iBTIMVeaM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=caCK3Go1xidPE_NU
There’s no way that barbed wire fence method is faster than just building it normally
The massive tower you can see from the trad district would look better if it was a bit less modern (think internationalism) rather than the twisted stacked blocks postmodern sh that's there right now
I may be biased because I really like internationalism but hopefully you see my point
hi bro, i like your texturepack, there is this one updated with new block of 1.20
how did i not know about fix connect and overlay command😭
Oh trust me it took 8 years before I knew about it
What texture pack do you use?
Can you give a name of the background song?
Yo Alpine1, how can I cross play Minecraft with you? I want to show you what I got and I do appreciate feedback
What shaders do you use?
Does axiom help a lot as a building mod for city builders?
I think so, but I’ve never tried it! I like my vanilla
Hi
Hi!
🗿👍
🗿👍
couldnt you do the line command twice with the point a and b ofset by 1?
That could work! My only concern is it might leave a few gaps between the lines, but try it out & let me know how it works!
i tried it and it works as long as you keep the gradient of the line the same, love the vids bro @@Alpine1
God these minecraft builds are sexy

tren
Nice video, but I can’t give it a try
All his buildings are empty?
Not all of them! We also like to furnish the ground floor only most of the time since it gets REALLY laggy for people without nasa computers. This makes it so when you explore on foot (as you would in a real city), you can only explore places like you would irl (shops, lobbies, restaurants, public spaces)
