I'm working on a series to explore what I liked & didn't like about my degree in architectural engineering, hopefully to help you make a decision on whether a degree similar is for you. If you're interested in getting notified when it releases, join my email list :)

(It won't be on TH-cam)
Oki papi
Oh yeah papi
I do thi in my phone sadly they all gone due to memory allocation.
The thing about traffic lights on the far-side of intersections is that it's a very american thing. Here in Europe the the traffic light is always almost on your side of the intersection to prevent you from going over the stop line. If you drive to far to the front you just can't see the light anymore, and that's completely on purpose
As a european I didn’t understand what was happening until I read this comment. Thanks!
Oh that's interesting, I didn't know that!
@@Alpine1 it's actually much better because it FORCES drivers to stop BEFORE the line, because if u stop in the pedestrian crossing, u can't see the traffic light. it's so much more safe. plus, usually there's a light on the side too so buses and lorries can see even if its hard to see above.
Here in Ireland we often have both
This stuff is so interesting. Construction functionality and reasoning is mind blowing
i actually needed this because mine look bad
This might sound coincidental but I actually did need a traffic light and crosswalk tutorial so thanks a lot for that :)
Happy to help B)
This is very useful, is it possible to have a "how to" video about HVAC? Like, when making a low-rise, mid-rise, high-rise building when and where it must be and how to design one.
Never, I mean NEVER look at this and see it as just a child's game. How I build... Child's game, box with windows and a door is a house. How you build.. Real life in Minecraft. Glad you took the first step in being able to share this in your professional life. Never turn back, keep sharing. There's so much information in this one video alone that I'm still processing what I just learned.
I’m still watching the video, but can you do a video on how to build a road with lots of curves and not much room to work with like in an area with lots of trees and stuff.
Can you just do a video on how to tight turns repeated.
It would just be nice and I would love, always like I say, not saying you have too.
Thanks for the recommendations! I'll add it to my list
@@Alpine1 thanks for the videos
WOOOO ALPINE VID YEAAAAA
WOOOOO
This helps so much, ur my fav Minecraft TH-camr
❤️❤️
For the pedestrian lights you can use item frames and a totem of undying
Oh that’s smart!
Matt really does think of everything 😂
love the vid! 🎉 personally i like to use a banner for the red light designs so i can fit it in a 1x2 instead of a 1x3 so it doesn't look so long imo
This is next level.
Posted right as I decided to make a Minecraft city. Thanks!
I just got the cubed pack. I am both amazed and confused 😂😂😂. Gonna start a city soon
I like this kind of video's they help me a lot and your vidos inspaired me to build a city
Last year in me and my friends smp I decided to build like a whole cyberpunk city (never finished it, too many ambitious ideas, gigantic scaling oddly designed buildings that were never finished, no plans, and no farms for materials, and dedication. At some point the server died and it was just me all alone building so I lost motivation.) But one thing I realized I struggled the most with was creating roads. How the hell does a normal road connect to the big wide free ways.
When it comes to road-design you can take a lot of inspiration from real life. Look at how it is done in real cities and then build them based on that. Essentially there is always a road hirarchy, small paths go to 2-lane roads, which go to 4-lane roads etc. And to connect your roads to highways, use properly shaped on and off ramps and bridges. This can also be used to create nice highways juction when done properly for example. (Also don't be afraid of curves, it makes everything look more natural).
Looks great
looking good :)
If you built a roundabout, what you could do for a yield sign is a white banner with a black line and a red triangle on top.
Intersection so good I learnt How to Build an Intersection 👍
Happy to help B)
i make stop signs with iron bars and trapdoors
Gotta watch that flush city.
Also a great idea! I'm not familiar with non-cubedpack stopsign designs, someone needs to teach me
twice in a row ive been super early on an alpine video lmaoo
Zoomin'
“the reason we add curbs is so that if that cars are driving along and I don’t know you’re getting a little *tired* “
6:50 in europe our stoplights are directly in front of us, this subliminally forces deivers to stop before the stop line and they dont block the pedestrian crossing/ run into the jntersection
hell yea
You deserve a new pc
Work in progress
Day 2 of asking you to make a city by yourself to show where and how you start a new city.
I have some big plans ;)
First
Post "First",🐟get Fish.🐟 No exceptions.
How about how do I build a suspension bridge
Here take some money for the pc work in progress
Oh wow, thank you!
@@Alpine1 you’re welcome man, you’re very hard working
can you do more without the cubed pack since its only for 1.12.2 and 1.14.4?
I always wanted to build my own city in Minecraft, I’m now can’t because my country banned it on mobile and I don’t have a pc or laptop to play it
Wich country?
Im building my city with cubed pack, what block do I use for the roads
cyan terracotta and set the biome for the roads to be the river biome
6:51 So you haven’t ever seen traffic lights in Poland
What is the name of the texturepack?
Nah i ain't doing all this to two thirds of my city, i will keep it like it is now so it's a old spot with the history and evolution of my abilities
use a roundabout?
You could! Typically it's more in high-traffic areas, but it's also great for slowing down traffic in neighbourhoods (Vancouver uses them a lot)
I love minecraft and i love architecture but i just am nlt creative enough
Hoi
Pin me alpine
Edit: you didnt pin me😡😡
There goes my excuse for not building roads :(
