He was so great, I had never heard of him until I started listening to the Opry every week and quickly started looking forward to him being there. He was humble, he was funny, and the music was always upbeat. He didn't tell anybody he was sick, so he just was gone, the way the Opry tributed him was amazing. They dedicated the show to him like they always do when someone passes, and then his band, Cajun Country who had played so much with him, took the stage and played the same upbeat music they always had, only he wasn't there to sing the words. It was a really cool way to tribute him and illustrate that he was gone but the music was still here. It was probably my favorite tribute I ever heard the Opry do when somebody passed.

Jimmy C was the greatest. He started the cajun yell, Aeeeeeeeeeeee! I went to many dances in South Texas and when the band played any cajun song there would be a bunch of cajun yells throughout the song.
Cajun music makes you laugh and have a good time.
