I've owned this radio for many years. It has a comparatively wide receive audio bandwidth which is good for receiving hifi stations out there. Although the 6 digit frequency display is better than nothing, without an 8 digit display you can be up to 99 cycles off on your transmit without knowing. For those who really want to dial it in as close as possible, get an 8 digit external frequency counter. All in all, good radio.
I have dx2547 ,nice radio options and i had a proforance test and shottky diodes installed for recieving, .only other options was echo and fer. Alignment. Bought from cb radio pronto in omaha,Nebraska . Thanks for the advice. 8:538:53

Hey rooster. Ive had a 2547 for somme time right out of the box. The recive never goes over s9. I can key up my 4 pill in front yard and only s9. Side band goes over. Just wondering how much equipment to get that 10-8 ?
Only dead on if the freq vounter built in is " calibrated" it could be off but test ok on face get a second freq counter that has been certified cause if test freq is not certified its just like AM and being 3-5 kc off and you dont notice
I have an original one with 1969 final. Been on radio since 1976 and I can say mine is great. Beautiful receive and all I get is compliments on the loud clear audio.

Mine goes from 27.4050 to 27.4080 on tx, I’ve tried using the alignment page on radio mods, everything in spec

I have one of these and used it for 5 days and I hate it. It's a big freaking turd.
Same radio as a 959 , they do great if they're tuned and someone hasn't butchered them
