Howdy, Thanks for sharing this with all of us. I like this radio and would like to leave it stock, But I'd like to run a RM Italy KL-503 amp with it. Would the radio have to be adjusted in any way? I already have the amp. Matter of fact the amp is connected to a bearcat 998SSB. Had a fella turn the bearcat down a bit so it would work with the amp, but he couldn't make any adjustment for it to work with the sideband part of the amp. It works great on the am side but can't use the side band. So anyway, please let me know if I'd have to have this radio adjusted for it to work with my amp. Thanks Roger
I heard about your channel from Mr 204 Ground Control; he speaks well of what you do sir. I really like what I'm seeing the DDS system working well on that 2547. I have that same rig and it's my main radio. I'm far from a tech but I've been an avid 11 meter junkie for 40+ years and always looking for new stuff that truly works. I'm just curious if there will ever be a mod like this that can be interfaced to a flat screen using a PC. I'd really like to see somthing like that become available with the same options and functions as the internal mounted unit. My vision isn't bad at all but would just be awesome to to have all those goodies displayed on a larger separate screen for the base.

Great job! Just had someone post on my 959 video asking how to fix the drift issue and I'm going suggest they check out the DDSVFO. Now tell me more about the direct inject audio mod you had in the back :) That could be a lot of fun matched up with a studio microphone and rack equipment or a UR6QW. What you guys are doing is just awesome.

Me gusto mucho la nueva Emisora de CB, pero teniendo en cuenta que está modificación puede trabajar hasta los 99 MHz sería muy interesante, que pudiera Ampliar Bandas desde 11m,10m, 6m y 4m. Con un simple Auto Acoplador de la Antena para trabajar en QRP hasta los 20 Wt en emisión. Muy buena y mejor video idea, para estación QRP en el Campo, en Casa QTH. O en Móvil. I ordered one on May 24th (2021). Found the best price. They offered a $33 discount, so with that, the total was $296.97. I checked their website for status. It said it was being packed up and getting ready to ship. I check again another day and it says "Awaiting product from Galaxy". I'm like "WTF? First it's getting boxed up, now they don't even have it?". I email the company and the guy tells me they are on backorder, but my order is 3rd in line to be processed. I realize other retailers are also out of stock, so I wait. Now it's July (2021 for those reading this at a later date) 16th and still no radio, even though it's now in stock on Amazon, WalcottRadio, CopperElectronics and a few other places I checked. They're still "Awaiting product". I'm beginning to think they realized they priced it too low. Coupled with free shipping and a $33 discount, they're not making as much money as the other retailers who are selling it for $340--$430 not including tax and shipping. I think they are waiting for me to say "Fuck it. Gimme a refund." Which I did because I need the money for bills now. But hearing about the problems these radios have, maybe getting the refund is a better deal.
Some do yes, but with the DDS system it stops that becuase it replaces the entire original Pll system with a super stable rf generator. It is amazing. Plus you get all the options like HF receiver, band scan, spectrum sweep, selectable channel scan and more...

Actually it is a really good radio. The problems happen when abused and or golden screwdriver gets into them.
