to metalheads, the order of importance has always been: hair > riffs > solos > beans
Jason Newsted cut all his hair off before growing it out into his shorter Load-era look, so he sidestepped the awkward “growing out the undercut” phase.
My love for Devin Townsend's hair is a way of feeling. love is a way of feeling less alone
So what's all the fuss about?!?
Cliff Burton had a fucking lions mane on him! Watching his hair bounce around at "breakneck" speed was so metal 🤟
Jason Newsted should be higher. Its so iconic and looks so cool, even I copied it for a while lol
There are two suspicious human types, thin cooks and musicians with short hair.
How is the Coheed and Cambria guy not iconic? Literally the only dude in the world that looks like that.
Iconic would be an icon, not just unique

What definition of “iconic” would you be using for, say, Dave Mustaine’s hair?
Beanley will NEVER disappoint. The Super Saiyan (there it is, own tier above god) Petrucci comment was everything I needed in a video like this and what everyone should be expecting.
I also love Kurt Cobain's and Axl Rose's hair... imo they are legendary
personally I think robert plant should have been god tier, he was the reason why I started growing my hair out it’s just so beautiful
Come ooooon tardy’s hair is definitely god tier, lad’s 50 and still has that enormous, gorgeous and super curly set of hair on his head
Was expecting to see James Hetfield’s Justice-Black Album era hair on here, wouldve put that and Jason’s hair in iconic, Jason’s hair looks best when headbanging
My favorites are
1.Brian tatler from Diamond head
2.Sean harris from Diamond head
3.Tony Iommi Black Sabbath
sean harris defo
Robert Plant. He's the guy that started it all.
Tbh I absolutely love Jason’s hair when it was long. Both of his early hairstyles y’know the big fluffy curly mess and the cool side shaved hairstyle (I kinda wanna do it too but I’m scared it wouldn’t look good on me tbh)
It’s honestly god-tier in my opinion, but Jason is my favorite Metallica member so maybe I’m a bit biased lmao
Shadows Fall's Brian Fair's hair is absolutely bonkers but rad AF at the same time. And I'd also include Mikael Stanne of Dark Tranquillity. Looks like an angel in some band shots :D
One of the most underrated facts of Ronnie James Dio is that he had really nice long dark hair IMO.
