Like hate him if you want that's your prerogative but I like to have reasons for things especially if I'm going to talk bad about someone and I just don't see it in this instance. Also out of Dave Mustaine and Rick Beato.....
Young goons. Rick Beato is a legend. Definitely not taken seriously enough but he’s very wise, opinions are constructed with real and deep knowledge of music, and always asks the best possible question to his interviewees that in turn create the best answers. Don’t see why young goofballs would talk down on their much more experienced and knowledgeable elder.
What's with the Beato bashing? He is knowledgeable, his videos are usually very educational, he's a good guitar player and musician with a fair amount of experience and insight into the business, so why are so many people bashing him recently? He must be doing some things right, otherwise he wouldn't have a successful YT channel nor a signature Gibson guitar! Sounds like jealousy to me! Don't watch his videos if you don't like him, but this constant bashing is just juvenile and silly!
Well to be fair both of them are fairly young and Atreyu hasn't really done anything noteworthy in quite awhile. I'm pretty sure their last hyped up album release was Lead Sails and a Paper Anchor, which came out 16 years ago now.
Rick Beato did not invent music, and there is no key of... B for Beato , just the regular key of B , even you two know that. He's an incredibly accomplished musician and educator , and he absolutely loves music , that's the thing that comes over strongest. If you listen to him talking about his favourite rock bands like Boston or Peter Frampton you can see his love of the music plus his encyclopedic knowledge. He's also a great guitar player. Have a try at playing the solos from Kid Charlemagne or Don't Take Me Alive, Rick is really , really good at those two. His channel is so popular because of those things , the experience, the knowledge , and the love of music. You will also notice how many top flight guitarists are happy to come on his show and talk about their playing and music , and guitars in general. And he does it with absolutely zero sneering or personal abuse . Ever. You don't have to be like this.
I've actually got an old Kerry King Signature V back when he was with B.C Rich knocking around here somewhere. Huge guitar, sounds dirty and looks even dirtier. I've not been impressed with his Dean guitars, but this old B.C Rich of his was a bit of a beast!
I think the Snakebyte should be higher on the list. It is the first variation on the explorer that I actually like. Not to pointy, still keeps some of that classic explorer vibe, but modernized just enough to make is relevant. If the ESP model wasn't so much damn money, I would own one. and IMO it has a little taken away, not added :)
I kinda just clicked on this one because I was curious as to what the hell Mia Khalifa had to do with signature guitars, or just guitars as a subject in general... I was admittedly quite baffled for a bit there.
Ok, luthier here. The only one I (might) disagree with is the Warlock. I loved that scene so much that I made a replica of it just so I could go trick or treating with it. I used a Spark Mini to amplify myself. Best Halloween in a long time. I fell in love with the guitar and I still play it often. I love how comfortable it is and how badass it looks. If I didn’t have the skill that I have, it’s the only one on the list I would actually spend money on. But that’s just me. Love your video and you guys have great taste. Keep up the good work!
The best Schecter I've ever played was the Chris Poland Poltergeist signature. Sucks that he dropped Schecter almost immediately and it was only produced for 1yr...a really sweet looking and sounding axe... for a Schecter
My store had the Orianthi PRS, I played it, I'd put it in E tier tbh. Not because of the price, but because it doesn't feel any different than any other PRS
Malmsteen signature is S. Scallops, extra jumbo frets, signature pups, classic 70’s headstock and aesthetic but with the reinforced machine mount 4 screw neck plate, nitrocellulose finish, no load tone control, three-way pup selector, brass nut… There’s so many specs that actually justify it as a signature guitar. And if you’re going for THAT kind of playing, tone etc… nothing else will play and sound like it.
The Beato hate from all the people who watch this channel is a bit strange. I definitely understand the “book” criticism and I’ve seen your videos about him. But damn, you’ve now created a legion of haters against someone who makes some of the best music related content in TH-cam and is pretty much universally respected by all kinds of musicians.
Glad to see the JEM777 on top! My favorite signature guitar, from a mostly aesthetic standpoint as I'm not much of a guitar player, is the .strandberg* Boden Masvidalien Cosmo.
KDH : Please include the Charvel "Hendrik Danhage Heavy Relic" which I own one. I never heard of him but when I saw it/played it I went home with it. The DiMarzio neck Pup quacks right up there with YJM's "Duck" Strat.
I'm going to guess they weren't out at the time of filming but it would be cool to see how the old and new Tim Henson and Scott lepaige signature AZs stand up against the other sigs
Yall should do a quickie Ibanez sig tier list, you've got Joe satriani, the polyphia boys, Yvette young (🥳), ichika, Nita Strauss, Mario chon guy, Paul Gilbert, Paul Stanley, and mad other people I can't remember. Just a thought 🤙
Strats and Superstrats all go to D or even E for me, don't care for them. The MusicMan Abasi goes riiiight down to F with Kerry King's V. Fugly things. The Larada and Snakebyte both belong in A! Always loved Synyster Gate's models, it would hit an A for me too. When you're used to the black/silver one the other color schemes he's had over the years look so good. Maybe not the purple/green one, but the rest are nice. If they ever make a hardtail version of the goldburst or silverburst ones I just might get one.
I enjoyed the video. I would have like to have seen what category that you guys put Miku Kobato's Floppy Pidgeon from Zemaitis. I'm not complaining though. There are more signature guitars out there than you could possibly cover on one video. Cheers!
You mentioned the PRS one breaking or scratching. While I don't own a super expensive PRS and I assumed the same thing, they're supposed to be super durable and almost impossible to scratch and I haven't seen a scratched PRS guitar so far.
You definitely get buckle rash and pick scratches on the PRS finishes. It's a bit harder to get deep scratches though. (But they do chip if you bang them on the coffee table! From experience.)
Several years ago I got an LTD M-1000 SE, it looks like the Guthrie, also the Phil Collins and kinda the Dean MAB usa. It has become a hidden Gem, it does sort of look like an unfinished kit guitar but it has a very unusual D carved neck profile with very steep shoulders which i wasnt sure about but its very playable and the true value is that you can look all over the place and youll not see many if any of them being listed for sale used and they still list for $959 so i cant be the only one that really likes it and doesnt want to let it go. I do own a Custom Shop 2005 KH2, i didnt pay what its worth but also having an E-II M-II I can say that ESP is either the best makers or the original Floyd Roses make all the difference but both those guitars sound and play better then anything Ive ever played.

Don’t see why young goofballs would talk down on their much more experienced and knowledgeable elder.
Boomers go boom
What's with the Beato bashing? He is knowledgeable, his videos are usually very educational, he's a good guitar player and musician with a fair amount of experience and insight into the business, so why are so many people bashing him recently? He must be doing some things right, otherwise he wouldn't have a successful YT channel nor a signature Gibson guitar!
Sounds like jealousy to me! Don't watch his videos if you don't like him, but this constant bashing is just juvenile and silly!
Baffled that Atreyu is an unknown band to these guy 🤯
It is probably a unknown band to a lot of people.
I never heard anyone ever talk about them.
Well to be fair both of them are fairly young and Atreyu hasn't really done anything noteworthy in quite awhile. I'm pretty sure their last hyped up album release was Lead Sails and a Paper Anchor, which came out 16 years ago now.
@@countzero5150 wow, that makes me feel old af.
Who?
Judging by the thumbnail, I thought this was a collab with Mia Khalifa. And no, I've no idea who that is...
I'd say the Dan Jacobs Kiesel looks more like a used sanitary pad, but that might not be the most youtube friendly observation
I won’t stand for the a7x Schecter slander… jk it’s one of my all time favorites tho
it's an amazing guitar. They definitely did it a disservice.
opinions can be a fertile ground for controversy. I love it too tho.
Don't like Kellys?
@Panama Jack nah never have been crazy about the Kelly. Not sure why, but just never did it for me.
I'm a simple man, I see Mia in the thumbnail, I click.
KDH and 6STV collabs are always goated 👌🏾
10:55 I audibly let outta laugh when you did that, good shit😂😂😂
Holy shit I’ve just realize why there’s Mia on the thumbnail 😂
Bruh Synyster Gates' signature guitar is my dream guitar 😂
"Put that in his pdf and smoke it." Jesus Christ i haven't laughed like that in awhile.
Thanks Kaylen, you guys should do more collabs.
Came for the thumbnail, stayed for the content.
That being said, how come you guys didn't discussed the Uli Jon Roth signature guitar?
The best Schecter I've ever played was the Chris Poland Poltergeist signature. Sucks that he dropped Schecter almost immediately and it was only produced for 1yr...a really sweet looking and sounding axe... for a Schecter
I'd suggest Devin Townsend's Framus Stormbender, John Petrucci's EBMM Majesty, Joe Satriani's Chrome Boy and Paul Gilbert's Fireman
And now the Yngwie is gonna claim thst he invented Kinder scalloped chocolate bar...........
My store had the Orianthi PRS, I played it, I'd put it in E tier tbh. Not because of the price, but because it doesn't feel any different than any other PRS
Yeah it's spec'd no differently than any other Custom 24 AFAICT. Just the fancy finish and inlays. And the exclusivity.
@@mikeomatic9905 Every PRS feels the exact same to me, which is good for consistency, but I hate it 😅
ngl that Ormsby reminds me of original CoD MW2 so much, that shits insane
@KDH holy shit i just noticed the thumbnail 🤣🤣🤣
Malmsteen signature is S. Scallops, extra jumbo frets, signature pups, classic 70’s headstock and aesthetic but with the reinforced machine mount 4 screw neck plate, nitrocellulose finish, no load tone control, three-way pup selector, brass nut…
There’s so many specs that actually justify it as a signature guitar.
Mad respect for him, he also seems like a fun guy to have a bourbon and a chat with, but his content doesn't sit right with me
@Bigovsky What makes you think I do?
@Bigovsky Funny how often those opinions are expressed based entirely on the opinions of others, isn’t it?
Glad to see the JEM777 on top!
My favorite signature guitar, from a mostly aesthetic standpoint as I'm not much of a guitar player, is the .strandberg* Boden Masvidalien Cosmo.
KDH : Please include the Charvel "Hendrik Danhage Heavy Relic" which I own one. I never heard of him but when I saw it/played it I went home with it. The DiMarzio neck Pup quacks right up there with YJM's "Duck" Strat.
i feel like a dickhead for thinking that was mia khalifa
Lmaoo the thumbnail was
I'm going to guess they weren't out at the time of filming but it would be cool to see how the old and new Tim Henson and Scott lepaige signature AZs stand up against the other sigs
looking forward to more of these collabs!
Rick Beato invented Kahler
I thought your guest was Mia Khalifa from the thumbnail.
Have a Ibanez Jem777dy from 1988, its amazing to play and sounds great. Happy to see the pink sister is a S tier
You guys have a good dynamic.
Same person, different colour wig. Prove me wrong.
lmao i thought it was mia kalifa in the thumbnail was like wtf why is a porn star got a sig guitar??!?!
