    Put the PCD 25 mm kit as shown here on a new T6.1 4motion. Combined with 25mm higher profile tyres, has proven to be very practical in both rough outback roads and tracks in Australia. No noticeable downside on bitumen either.

      Hi. Did your 4Motion come with the VW factory upgraded springs? I think the rear coils have four blue paint marks.

      @@hossp2365 …. Just the factory std weight springs as we aren’t carrying more than about 600kgs. Have a very comfy and compliant ride on rough roads.

    Great video, hope the instructions made the job straightforward. Won’t help now, but if anyone else is tackling lowering or raising the rear, it can be done without removing the arb, you just need to remove the lower damper bolts from both sides so the arb isn’t fighting the spring removal / replacement.
    Looking forward to see the van with a set of a/t wheels / tyres.

      Lol yeah I did think of that once I’d finished. My problem was I jacked up one side at a time!

    Question not criticism. Why did you not fit new longer travel springs?
    Sorry if I missed the explanation.

    I can't find the video you did on the jump pack/tyre compressor, but I remember you mentioned the battery drain might be something to do with the alternator?
    Just read this on a forum - "Blown diode in the alternator that allows yhe battery to drain via the alternator" - don't know if you already sorted it but hope it helps 🙂

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep I have been thinking the same. I’ll get around to it eventually. I’ve actually been sent a new version of the compressor/starter it’ll be in a video soon.

      @@SpyderLEE my T5 is actually off the road at the moment with a duff alternator and I understand the front bumper needs to come off to access it, was hoping in this Swamper series you might have done your alternator whilst the bumper is off so I can see what's involved

    I’m thinking of lifting mine as I’ve cracked 2 sumps in the space of 13 months 😡 looks good lowered but it’s just not practical

    Never understood why people would lower the suspension, it ruins the ride and then components can wear out quicker !

    Are you still using this lift kit Lee ?
    How are you liking the ride ?
    Cheers pal

    • @SpyderLEE
      @SpyderLEE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it’s all still the same. Ride is all good. Tyres can be a little noisy but overall it’s a much nicer ride than low

    I need to upgrade my suspension but I'm scared to have a go at it myself. You make it look rather easy.
    Looking forward to seeing the new wheels.

      I’m looking forward to seeing it with the wheels on too.
