That’s a really nice welding table!!!!
Jay it's always great to see I'm so glad you're making some videos again
Hey Shawn. Great to hear from you matey thank you
After watching this I would be confident enough to try fitting my coilovers myself. It’s nice to see a honest how to video it’s not as simple as take something off that’s been on the vehicle for 10 years and put new on. You got the job done and showed us how you done it with clear instructions. Camper is looks sweet not to low and not to high. Look forward to seeing more videos from Jay 👍
Hey Mathew. Thanks for the comment mate. Yes it really became a challenge for me that’s for shore 😝. The drive though now makes it so worth it
So good to see the OG back. Bro, your channel is what inspired me to get a T5 🙏🏼
Thank you bro. Your always very appreciated man thanks for the comment 💪🏻💪🏻
Brilliant. Thank you for taking the time to record some tips.
Thanks Oliver. No problem at all. Hope you take something out of the video. 👍🏻
Great job Jay. Great to see you back on the channel 😉
Thank you Matey that’s very much appreciated
I absolutely love this van! been binge watching the videos on it! Really love the colour to it! I wanna buy it when it’s finished!
Hey Alex. Thanks man. 💪🏻. I may sell her more summer time but I have a lot of work to get done first. Thanks for the support matey.
@@JaysFabShop no problem my favourite colour in them and I love the interior can’t wait for more videos
Good video mate you made hard work of the first one you should have asked me I would have told you how to do it I have spring compressors you could have used you can put the shock up a bit then to help get them back on but they am still a pain to do on the front but it’s nice to see a real video of how hard something am to do well done keep the videos coming 👍
Thanks bro that’s much appreciated. Yes definitely has been hard work for me that’s for shore 😂
Fancy doing mine 😊
Where are you located matey
Hi Jay, your a braver man than me, got my local garage to do mine, sits nice mate👍
Hey Colin. Thank you matey. I did wish I got a garage to do mine quiet a few times when filming 😝. Much appreciated matey.
Great Jay 😁
Hear Carolyn great to hear from you. Thank you
@@JaysFabShopNo problem Jay 😊
Great vid dude. Gone send me your old set up pleaseeee lol
Hey man. 😂 sorry they went out to the tat man.
Just to add cover the new springs and dampers in ACF50 and it’ll never corrode, plus you’ll be able to easily adjust your coil overs.
I’ll look up that mate. I have sprayed it all down with wd for know though. Thanks for the advice that’s much appreciated
There a lot of surface corrosion on the struts, subframe, arms etc. Has the vehicle spent time at the coast by any chance? Great work and interesting video.
Thank you matey. Yeah I think it did to be fair. It’s all only surface as you said. To be honest I’m planning to fit new lower arms and I think I might strip a side down at a time and re con the calipers etc as I go. It’s just time that’s all
Hi, what springs did you fit?
How’s the set up Jay, are you pleased with the ride?
I love it mate to be honest. Either my others was really really bad and I didn’t realise or what but I love driving it again now. I don’t cringe half as bad now if i hit a pot hole etc. i would of preferred it slightly lower really but the ride definitely makes up for that small detail
Jay what you running 20"
Hey mate. No I’m on 19s
Where did you get the diamond trim on the windscreen pillars?
Off eBay but was years ago.
@@JaysFabShop quite fancy a set now, the transporter plastics inside are a bit boring!
These where home made mate and glued on. They wasn’t brought ready type thing.
Wow. Jay you need to sort that rust out under the van it looks terrible, plus callipers look shot.. get under it before it's to late kid otherwise you will regret it. Hopefully it's not to far gone ie welding time.
No mate it’s no where near as bad as it looks on camera. I have one patch to to one the sill from a dent but most of the rest cleans up. I have already started yousee. Thanks though.
I have new brakes and calipers all round to fit it’s just time at the min.
Done this. But with standard kit. A pig of a job. Ignore spring clamps get a spring compressor much easier. Love the trick with dropping the strut into the hub. Mine is t30 with t32 hubs.
Thanks mate. Yeah it’s worn me out to be honest 😝. Spring compressor is definitely a way better option if available
Top man Jay, I used to love your van conversion videos. In fact I couldn't have cut my bed in the roof without your video on that. You are what Britain was built on,. Good quality engineering, keep it up mate not enough of us out there, with the emphasis nowadays on everything price point. Quality products fitted by qualified individuals.well done...
Hey Mark thank you matey. I have to agree to be honest most people know don’t seem to be best job driven but more speed driven which is a shame.
Thanks for the great comment too.
Cracking idea with the piece of wood. Im about to lower mine and didnt fancy undoing drive shafts and hubs off 😎👍
Thank you. Yeah it just simplified the job for me. If you have the other wheel off the ground also that will help you slightly I just couldn’t have both sides jacked up myself.
Good skills 👏
