- What's going on guys so the t5 transporter that I repaired a few weeks back is being painted. It's not being painted in normal paint the customer is going for the rugged look so the back end is being coated in the raptor finish. How will it look I have no idea but we are going to find out.

Thank you for the video. You did a cracking job there, especially when you only had the van for a day. I really liked it the contrasting finish and colour. Very annoying that someone ran into the back again - sod's law eh after doing all that work and getting it perfect.
Hey Karl thank you mate 👍👍 I wernt to sure on it myself but when it fully hardened off and didn’t look so patchy it’s definitely grown on me. He’s definitely not had much luck on that corner. It’s being fixed on my estate so will give it mention in another video.

Been looking at this paint for my t4 just the roof but in white to cool the outside down as it’s a camper someone says you can use a roller to apply it as I don’t have a inside place to paint don’t think the neighbours would be happy with me using a spray gun outside thanks for doing a video on it 👍
Hey Micheal thank you mate 👍👍 I have a black transit van as a camper so I feel your pain with the heat in the sun 😩🥵. I painted the whole top half of my van silver but yes white is even better. I’ve heard of people using rollers with this so you should be ok. It will also be abit of sound deadening I think as it is really thick and dries nice and hard. Thanks for that info on the roller it was your video on your camper in silver that gave me the idea sorry for pinching your idea 👍but also for showing the blade trick to take down a run in the paint I have used it with success thank you for sharing these tips 👍

Hey Nigel thank you mate, it’s definitely had a few punts that corner 😬. Ye I was abit disheartened that another garage is finishing it but it’s being done on my estate so I’ll show it in another video.

Interesting finish material, like the modern equivalent of Tetrosyl on a Mk1 Escort, like a ride Mark finish around the wheel arches and lower doors. As you say, Customers choice, his train set, he can do what he likes with it
Hey Karter that’s exactly it I call Tetrosyl shutz and it’s the same finish, only difference is this has a hardener so goes Rock hard. I wernt to sure at first but it’s definitely grown on me. I’d of still painted it original colour thow 😁

I just put 195/80r15 on my Caddy. They fit on the stock wheels. No cutting of fenders. No lift.

Hey bud thank you, I wondered this myself but I washed it recently and a lot of the dirt just pressure washed off then a sponge and another rinse and it was mint again 👍

guy i bought my van has done bottom half in raptor im not a fan took it to the jest wash and is starting too come off , is there an easy way to remove it ? i have heard heat gun may do the trick but dont want to damage the paint underneath as i reckon the guy who did the raptor didnt do any prep
Hi bud yes if it’s not prepped then you it can peel off, only way I think you’ll get it off is by a pressure washer, if you know someone with a hot pressure washer it may come off better. Good luck 👍
Back bumper should be raptor easy at breakers but insurance will match it I’m sure .

Hi bud, my friend in the workshop just down from me painted a whole t5 in black raptor and he charged £1500 so it might be around that or slightly less as it’s smaller being a caddy 👍

I love the look but have never liked the idea of having the outside a completely different colour to what it was originally as when you open the doors or bonnet the mismatch is to jarring. I’ve a white T5 and I’m not sure white Raptor wouldn’t make it look like a motorhome.

Van looks mint apart from needs bigger wheels on it to fill wheel arches and in my opinion the rear doors where glass would go grey and black union jack
