There's another mistake in this video that keeps getting repeated, but is just not true. Trey Parker was not expelled from college while making Cannibal: The Musical, for missing too many classes. He even graduated in 1993.
On the website for graduates Matt stone is listed as Double math and film and Trey Parker is listed as Ex.
This film also features a cameo by "The Greys" during the Snowman song (the snowman's head becomes an alien for a quick shot), who, as we all know, became a fixture in South Park.
Cannibal is probably my second favorite film by Parker, second only to Orgazmo.
This video doesn't have nearly enough love on it. Cannibal is an absolute favorite of mine. So much so that my friend from high school and I...ahem...we're 36 now...we still quote this and sing it whenever we're together. Which is sometimes in the grocery store. We have no shame lol. SHPADOINKAL!

I'm so glad I found this video. I've been obsessed with Cannibal the musical for years now, and I always KNEW there had to be some AMAZING story behind the making of it!!! I swear, every time I watch the ending dance number... I'm always like... "Who choreographed this???" And you just blew my mind by revealing that it was his ex!!!!! 🙀 Great job 😂

Ever since I first watched the movie (which I own on DVD) I've been pushing everyone I know into watching it. I've yet to hear someone say they don't like it.
This movie had me dying the fist few times I watched it, it’s got some great gags and songs.
Every year I visit my buddy up in Utah and I do my packing listening to this track list, and it reinvigorates my love for the movie each time
I discovered this movie in 2020 also during the Covid pandemic! I absolutely love it and I think the cheesy B-rated and low budget quality of it makes it very charming.

The more I watch this movie, the more I'm convinced that the Japanese Indians might be the funniest thing I've ever seen. The implication that they're lying about being Indians, on top of everything else, just causes my mind to collapse in on itself in a way I've never experienced elsewhere.
Ok so turns out I was wrong, the snow scene does appear to have color grading. My bad.

@@ediblekornThis is making me feel even f'in older! Still middle school, but in 1997, when apparently season 1 of South Park took my 7th grade class by storm. Soon there was a pro wrestler in the WWF (at the time) coming out to the ring with a Cartman doll and my middle school was banning South Park shirts (which was relatively common, hence the joke about banning Terrance and Phillip shirts in the movie)

- In North American English, I think cann-i-bull is common, not can-ih-bal.
Dian Bachar's name is pronounced DEE-in Ba-har, not Dianne Backer.

It is. Cannibal the Musical is a musical comedy loosely based on the story of Packer. Trey who plays Alferd is credited in the film as Juan Schwarz as a nod to the San Juan mountains where the real Packer and his party were lost. Also there are scenes in the film depicting Packers trial which were filmed in the actual courthouse where the trial took place.
Review like every Clone Wars episode.

9:47 “no colour grading to speak of” while showing a very clearly colour graded shot. Those greens are totally unnatural. I know it’s a low budget film, but they obviously tweaked things during the things process.
