- The sole survivor of an ill-fated mining expedition tells how his taste for gold was replaced by that of human flesh.
Very different from my other uploads, but I noticed the quality of the film I have is a little better than another on TH-cam so I thought I’d upload.
I’ll try to give some backstory from my knowledge to this film; This was Trey Parker’s (and Matt Stone’s, but he was uncredited) first film project that they made together, originally a trailer for their college course in ‘93 which was then made into this full length film in ‘96 after everyone was asking when it was going to be made.
The film had a budget of $125,000 from money that they had raised after the success of the first trailer.
It was originally named Alferd Packer: The Musical but was renamed after Troma re-released it because they said that anyone outside of Colorado would not know the context of the name Alferd Packer.
A couple of deleted scenes have been shared on TH-cam & my personal favourite is, Shatter Proof!, which I would definitely recommend to watch and read the comments after seeing the film.

One of the magical things about this movie is that it was made for a grade and not for the box office.

I've seen interviews where Trey says he got kicked out of school because he failed all his other classes doing this movie. I think that mindset toward working super hard on one thing until it's done is the reason South Park is so successful.
This movie is an absolute gem that everyone should watch.
This is by far the most Shpadoinkle movie I've ever seen!

Still really weird seeing Stanley in something like this considering he seemingly operated on a much higher level intelligence wise…and in regards to the content of his films.

Back when Netflix first started and sent DVD's, my brother and his wife sent for one, kept it, lied to Netflix and said they never got it, received the second one, watched it and sent it back, and kept the first one.
This is probably why Netflix stopped sending actual DVDs. Lmao

Yes, Alferd Packer removes his fake mustache. This makes his beard look like Abe Lincoln’s beard. You could say he was doing an Abe Lincoln impersonation. I feel like it was supposed to be a failed attempt at making the guys laugh when they were losing their Shpadoinkle. 😅
