@dsmdriver2588 I've never ran the stock unit on 8s, not sure how it could handle it. The fms unit was just so much better. But now freewing has an even better 80mm
This is a 6s motor but it just happens to be awesome on 8s. It’s still the best 6s motor. This setup lets you run both. I prefer the hobbywing ESC’s. I think they are a bit better for EDF’s. But for 6s you could leave the factory speed controller and just do the EDF upgrade

What kind of 8S pack r u using? Did u put two 4s in series?
@@dsmdriver2588 two 2200mah smc packs. Only one's small enough to fit
I noticed the motor u recommended is only rated to 6s. And it's out of stock. U think i can just change the ESC out and hook up 8S? Hehe

What would be a good upgrade motor for the Habu ss 70mm? I'm looking to get a little more without changing to 8s. CHA-CHING!

I changed just the motor and kept everything the same and didnt notice any difference in speed
