I've been crocheting for over 20 years and I have to say this is one of the best crochet tutorials I have ever watched. It's perfectly descriptive, I have no questions and it isn't loaded with any unnecessary or confusing information. I'm very impressed, good work!!!
I have been crocheting for 60 something years; I started as a child. This is an excellent tutorial. I'm really impressed. Now I want to make a Daisy granny square.
I wholeheartedly agree!! I’ve been crocheting for over 40 years and I AVOID tutorials because of so many reasons but THIS is so well done. Elyse, you’ve put together something so beautiful. It’s the most comprehensive tutorial I’ve ever seen, but it’s not overwhelming. At all. I continue to be impressed with how quickly you’ve managed to pick up this craft! Great job!

Crochet seemed so inaccessible to me for a long time because I didn’t get it. I found other TH-camrs with adhd and they made it so much easier and I love crocheting now. I’m so grateful for creators like Elyse who make it easier for people who are neurodivergent
Yesssss let's make the hand craft community bigger. It's the best hobby to have. As someone with severe anxiety knitting and crocheting have been a life saver for me in refocusing my attention on something fun and productive rather than focusing on the anxiousness I feel. Super appreciate you making this.

I love the "Here's what it should look like and here's the diagram for the next step" parts. Looking forward to more. :)
I hope she adds chapters to the video, that would help so much. I love the intro part to every new step in the video where she shows what’s coming next and what it looks like. But it’s annoying to have to skip back and forth
Im begging you, PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE! You’ve inspired me to start crocheting and finding tutorials that I can sit through and actual learn from has been tricky but I LOVE the way you’ve put this together! I can finally make a granny square!❤️
Wow, you may be a beginner but your tutorial skills are ADVANCED. I've been crocheting only for a few months and what you've done is so smart and better than what most YT tutorials do in that you offer three different notations (the video of you crocheting, the symbols and the abbreviations) but you also make note of things that easily trip up beginners like which hole to stitch into. So smart and so proud of you for dreaming this up and leveling up the crochet video tutorial game.
How you were able to not only complete this but teach it so early in your crochet journey just blows my mind and I've been crocheting for 50 years! You rock girl!
You stated once that people with ADHD shouldn’t start with granny squares and then you put out this and now I dont know if I should or shouldnt take up making granny squares. Thanks Elise, my head hurts
I'm a new crocheter and I get what she meant. When you're just getting started it can feel really overwhelming to have to do all of them. Now that I've been doing it a while the repetition is nice 😅
I think that when she said that she meant with standard patterns. Which is why she came up with this granny squares tutorial; by putting together parts from several patterns & making this tutorial in a way that most ADHD brains can easily consume.
I've crocheted for 45 years and watched this video because I love your Shorts and was curious about how a newbie would teach. This is the actual best learn to crochet tutorial I've ever seen. My daughter has been wanting to learn and I've sent her a link. Great job!
So, I have NOT been crocheting for over 20 years, not much more than about 20 days. I've watched your video and did it step by step - rewinding at least 10 times every round (even my husband now knows the stitches😂) -, pulling out at least a hundred times and starting all over.... but..... I did it! So proud of myself!!! 🏆🏆🏆And English isn't even my mother tongue. Now I wanted to learn my friend but don't know the Dutch words for all the different stitches🤦♀. Thank you so much for sharing!
OMG, I’ve been crocheting for over 50 years. Your tutorial is amazing. The way you explain everything so clearly, and the graphics, the on screen abbreviations of the crochet stitches, where to place the stitch markers . You’re teaching people how to read a pattern. The best tutorial ever, I’m going to share this with my niece. You’re brilliant, thank you.
I’ve been crocheting for almost 10 years, and I wish this video was around when I started!! The beginner videos are nice, but I definitely was a “dive right in” kind of person. Anyone who knows how to crochet can see all the work you put into this video, and honestly it’s the easiest crochet tutorial I have been able to follow along with! Thank you so much for all that you do ❤❤
"Make sure you count 16 double crochet, ok check again, again, and again. Move on to your next row, why is it weird? Oh because you made 17 double crochet... Cool frog it and redo. Why is it weird again? How are there 14 when I undid one?! Ok count a thousand times and use a stitch marker for each stitch! There perfect!" -Me trying to make a circle project. But I love crocheting more than anything ❤
I really need to buy some stitch markers already 😂 I’m determined to get crochet down pat! I finally got the middle part looking great, but I accidentally ended up having 9 flower petals 😬😂
So I think what happened was you need to mark your first double crochet stitch. You're probably counting the chain 3 and it looks like a 17th stitch. If you let out one stitch you may be accidentally letting out your increase and that's how you got 14. I ALWAYS mark first and last stitch in circles and then count between the two stitch markers. That number should be the correct number of stitches. Plus it helps me find where I need to slip stitch it together. It can get kinda clunky to work around, but having to push aside some markers every once in a while beats frogging and redo it a million times over coz you lost count. Ps: (I put stitch markers on every first stitch of every row in square/row based projects and I sometimes even keep a counter app up. It slows you down a bit but so does redoing 3 rows coz you miscounted lol)
Elyse, as someone with autism who needs things explained to me like I’m 5 half of the time, this is honestly such a good tutorial. I’ve never felt so confident in watching something that I could do it, but it’s because you’re so to the point and in detail that I’m able to follow along and understand. I hope you continue to make these. I also hope you know how appreciated and adored you are by people. ❤️
My partner is a big fan of your shorts, as he finds them hilarious and endearing. He was pretty stoked to inform me that you had made a crochet tutorial because I’m a crochet hound. I gotta say, this is one of the finest crochet tutorials I’ve ever come across! Thank you!
I would say I’m an intermediate-advancing crocheter and can read a pattern easily. You are a good teacher! Your edits and verbal instructions are easy to follow and I feel this video is perfect for a beginner. Confession, I hate stitching granny squares together.
Thank you for sharing. I have been crocheting for over 30 years and I must say your skills are absolutely admirable. You have combined chart reading, with abbreviations and advanced crochet skills into one tutorial packed with substance. So thank you for what you bring.
My mom taught me to crochet when I was a teenager. I made lots of granny squares for a throw then lost interest, so my mom ended up sewing them all together to finish it. I never crocheted again until about 5 years ago, and I did the same as you. I jumped headfirst into a project, never having read a pattern or anything. Lots of learning since then. I've watched tons of video tutorials, and yours was truly refreshing. You explained the process and the stitch sequence in small "chunks", and included the reason for certain stitches, like the increase. The organization of the info was perfect. The instructions were included at the top of the screen, the preview told us what was next, there was a visual showing what it was supposed to look like, and the corresponding symbols were easy to identify. Your pacing was just right, and your background music was very relaxing. You gave a lot of information, but it wasn't overwhelming at all. It's hard to believe it's your first tutorial or that you haven't been crocheting for years. You're a natural!
Oh my gosh. Long time casual knitter here, I’ve been looking for a reason to start learning to crochet, and this might just be it. I have a feeling this is going to be my next obsession.
I agree to the masses that say that this is one of the best tutorials they have seen. The different ways you allow people to gather their information through is amazing. its written, it is demonstrated and its shown clearly on a picture drawn out what is coming in the next step. Good speed, easy to follow, and very inspiring! Well d one.
As someone who runs a crochet business and a chaotic crochet TH-cam channel, occasionally sharing tutorials, this is really TOP NOTCH work. You did amazing. I'm so sorry you've had drama over the fact that you released this tutorial but you did a great and incredibly thorough job, so don't let anyone tell you different!
Literally as a fellow ADHDer, this is the best crochet tutorial is the best one I've ever followed. I really appreciated that, even though you sped up you crocheting each section, I could still keep up and get to the next part without having to pause and start over and over. I just finished my first one and it's literally one of my favorite squares I've ever made.
Knitting may be a better fit. I teach both and some people's brains really don't latch on to one or the other as well but thrive when the other craft is tried.
I’m going to make this once I finish the blanket I’m working on. But I had to comment after watching 20 or so minutes of this… you are an EXCELLENT teacher.
Seeing your shorts/tiktoks had peaked my interest in getting started, super excited to see this and I love how chill and practical your vibes are towards teaching this.
Just want to say your instructions, with the detail, the clarity, large text, are the best I've ever seen. I'm a retired teacher, so from a teaching/learning perspective, you nailed it.
ASMR from Elyse crocheting. I'm waiting for someone to arrive and now I want a nap, this is so relaxing. My guest will have to wake me up knocking on the door. I have a really hard time keeping count, and keeping even tension, but this is really pretty and a sweater of these would be so cool.
went to the yarn store this morning just to try this out, new hook and all. am now sitting here close to the tv so i can follow along:) its going well, wish i could show you. you are a very good teacher, ty for this video dear:)
She did an excellent job explaining this granny square! I feel that I can send it to my friend who is just starting out with crochet could follow along! Elise should be so proud of herself!!
This is one of the best crochet videos I’ve ever watched! Even as a beginner, I found your video constructive and easy to follow. The design includes a variety of stitches, and I learned a lot from it. Thank you for this fantastic video-I can’t wait for the next one!
Please do more of these. So clear and easy to follow and that gentle music in the background was just lovely. I am also teaching myself to crochet via TH-cam and more videos like this would make it much easier.
I have watched many crochet videos and this is by far one of the BEST crochet video's I have ever watched! So detailed and well explained! Well done on a VERY successful first crochet video!!! I can't wait to make this!!!!
I too, have never needed to use the magic circle. I've tried it and it makes sense if you need to adjust after closing the circle but for this use case - totally not needed. Also these are some of the best diagrams/illustrations I've ever seen for crochet. So much easier to understand with that visual!
Hi, I've been crocheting for years, but this is a great pattern and you did a wonderful job of teaching it! I love that you showed the chart and written patters both for each step. A fun trick that I learned a long time ago for working with two colors is to feed a drinking straw onto each yarn before I start. It helps to keep the different yarns from tangling with each other.
I loved the way you did this! It’s so inclusive of different learning style with the way you included written instructions and diagrams along with you actually crocheting. Loved it 10/10
My ADHD brain could actually following along with this entire video and not get distracted (much), which is impressive! I dabbled in crochet back in the day and am looking to try again. Did I watch this whole video with absolutely no crochet supplies? Yes. Yes I did. So I’ll be back once I actually have supplies :) please keep making these videos! I’m sure it takes a ton of work to make these, but I learned so much already! I appreciated that you went in real time for the first couple times before speeding up the video. My brain needed that. Thank you for doing this!
Hello dear. Thank you so so much for this fantastic tutorial. Just a doubt: are you sure about the numbers of stitches of the last round? In the round before we have 19 stitches (included the 4 tr - see 35:19 ), so how can we have 18 (22 in total per side and 88 in total as in 42:54 ?) in the last round? I think it shoud be 23 st. per side (corners included, chain not included) so 92 in total, right? I am bad at math but... Can you tell me? Thank you again for this great tutorial.
I am a lifelong knitter who has always LOVED granny squares - something you just can’t do right with knitting. I “can” crochet, but I get frustrated - but this tutorial addresses all my frustrations! I love it and I will make these gorgeous squares because you have done this so well! 🩷
I used your tutorial after I was asked to make a granny blanket for someone. Your squares were perfect!! Hubby calls it The Brady Bunch blanket because I used every color I could find, but honestly it is a beautiful blanket. I'm now making a second one in patriotic colors!
Elyse, THANK YOU! Not only do I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this pattern, the attention to detail, the instructions AS YOU ARE CROCHETING, and the front/back pics after each round is AMAZING! I have been crocheting for over 40 years and have never been able to read a pattern with the markings. You are a crochet ROCKSTAR! ❤❤
I have been crocheting for 50 years. Started when I was four watching my mom. This is such a wonderfully created video tutorial. It is so calming and explains everything so well! I am looking forward to make these.
So like how are you an incredible singer, songwriter, content creator, crocheter, AND crochet teacher?! I’ve been crocheting for years and I’m so impressed with this. First, for the complexity of the pattern (eg. Crocheting behind, with multiple colours) and second, your ability to teach with clarity. Leave some talent for the rest of us Elyse! Seriously though, I completely love this ❤❤
I am an intermediate crocher. This was the tutorial I needed when I started. Mikey from the Crochet Crowd (he is a flaming gay Canadian and our national treasure) taught me everything else I needed. Thank you so much for teaching the future generations. I will send this tutorial to my kids. They will love it.
I love that you started from YT tutorials, because you know what we need to know. Like sometimes experts skip saying certain things because they assume we know already. also the viewpoint is A1! Nothing is more frustrating than not being able to see
Elyse! Please please make more videos like these. I just started crocheting this week & every other project has come out rough looking and this is the first one where i actually did it correctly & it looks great!! I would love to see more granny square patterns, or whatever else you like to make. You do such a good job. Thank you for making this!
I have never imagined tackling a granny square crochet blanket. I have just done boring double crochet because that is what my Oma taught me when I was little. I did not know how to read a pattern or that the stitch I was doing was a “double crochet”. You have rocked my world from the first time I ever found you. Thank you so very much for just being you and showing us all that it is okay to not look like we have it all together! And thank you for teaching me something new today. I am so excited to make a granny square blanket. Probably not a sweater but give it time. May God bless you for being the amazing person that you are!
I’ve been crocheting for a long time. I do not consider myself an expert more of an advanced beginner. I usually start watching a tutorial and turn off because the creator is ether rushing or skipping forward. I love and appreciate that you took time to explain at length. Thank you for a lovely informative tutorial. It’s very much appreciated.
I just started crocheting for the same reason as you and did it the same way. I jumped into a baby blanket. Lol. Im also excited to see you use big twist! I just impulsively bought $80 of it online because there was a sale. Im going to have so much yarn! And im so excited!
This is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen. I've followed you for a while, and now I wish you had a channel just for crocheting tutorials. I have dyscalculia and keeping up with counting is hard for me. So, this one might be hard for me, but I would like to try it. My bedroom is gray and teal, and I might make a cool blanket using that color palette.
Simply the BEST tutorial on how to crochet the Retro Flower Power granny square (and I've been crocheting since 1971, so I know a thing or two about the look!) My first square came out misshapen on the final background rounds, thank you for cleaning up this section. So nice I barely need to block it, I'm going to make a blanket for my new granddaughter with this pattern. Thanks again, Elyse.
Qualifying my comment with 40 years of professional-teaching of high school math behind me, my evaluation is that you have “mastered teaching-skills to the maximum”. Humans learn via input from their senses; for example visual and hearing. Your teaching-technique and presentation is excellent❗️
I’ve only made super basic granny squares and a very easy double crochet 8 pointed start blanket. I followed your tutorial and now I’ve made five of these!!! Thank you for taking the time to share this tutorial. It was so easy to understand :-) and it also made me feel cool 🤣❤️
What a fabulous tutorial. I’ve made a few from other tutorials and I’ve gone and changed the last few rounds on all of them as your idea to get a better square is just great. 👍👍
Thank you for teaching me to make my first crochet flower and granny square!!! Recovering from surgery and I made several with this video 💖🙏🙌 Thank you 😊
I have been crocheting for over 10 years and you rocked this tutorial! I started off with another teacher and was totally lost. I found your channel and was able to finish the project!! Keep doing what you are doing, girl!!!
So proud of you Elyse! You don’t know me but I have a daughter with ADHD and I remembered your short on how and why crochetting granny squares was good for people with ADHD from A WHILE ago with your lovely sweater you made… I am only just realizing how ADHD works and seeing the need for this type of project to busy her hands… so I went looking for patterns and this video and was delighted to find you in long form. Blessings to you and your sweet family
As someone who started crocheting two weeks ago Toto keep my hands busy and help prevent using so much social media scrolling, I’m so here for this tutorial.
THANK YOU!! Even the simple verbal explanations of where to actually put your hook like "not into the first stich but into the second" were so helpful, I was crying tears of frustration trying to follow other tutorials that just pointed to the stitch like "that one"... and covered it with their finger. My daisies are looking so much better 🩷🩷🩷 thank you thank you thank you!
I cannot give you enough likes for this - in the first 5 minutes you taught me something that I've never got right before! (that ******g bit in the middle that *NEVER* goes the way I need it to) and now I know why! Thank you!!!! (please do more of these because you are good at them and you're teaching in a way that works better for a lot of ND folks. So many of us want to be able to crochet because it's so sensory, but I'd imagine a lot are like me and can only crochet in a straight line....Thank you for putting yourself out here and not editing out all the bits that make you who you are
Made this granny square a couple days ago and I love it and now I want 18 billion of them to make cute things out of them. The issue is I'm a slow crocheter and it took me ~4 hours to make (including breaks for my wrist, chatting with friends time, and it always takes longer when you're learning a pattern for the first time). Really hoping to see more crochet content from you in the future it was a joy to watch and learn and make :)
You are a gifted teacher and I hope that you continue and that your channel and your business continue to grow. I love how you explain things in several different ways. This is the very best style of teaching. I taught chemistry for several years and that is how I taught that complex subject. Everyone has different styles of learning and by showing the connections, it helps our brains remember things better (at least it does for me). It also helps us learn about a style that is less natural (like the pattern symbols) with one that comes more naturally, like visual learning or auditory learning, for instance. Your pauses with explanations is really helpful for beginners. I am not a beginner, but I had to learn many of the things that you explain in my own by trial and error before the days of TH-cam. This is fantastic for beginners or people new to this design who aren’t beginners too! I think you are awesome!
Just had an observation while continuing to watch this wonderful tutorial and it is this. When you began having to work with the 2 colors at once, it may be easier for you next time if you first spin the skeins into balls and then mount them each on a yarn spinner which will avoid any tangles. It is just a tip. May not work for everyone but may help some a lot.
This is the best crochet tutorial I have ever come across (and I’ve been crocheting off and on for 30+ years - you are miles ahead of me - awesome sauce!)
I taught myself how to crochet a few years ago using TH-cam tutorials and I have to say this is seriously THE BEST crochet tutorial I have seen so far! I was always so frustrated because it felt the the person kind of assumed you already know what your doing, even in beginner tutorials, and went too fast or just wasn’t as clear on where exactly you should be stitching into. But your tutorial is so clear and concise! *Chef’s kiss* it’s perfect!
I really love this pattern and tutorial! I think personally im going to crochet over the boarder rounds, because i want the back to be smoother. Thank you so much for this lovely tutuorial! One of the best, well explained tutorials I've seen. You did an excellent job, and I'd love to see what other crafty projects inspire you.
This is the best video i’ve ever watched, thank you so so much! i honestly love this to the moon and back, could not be better, my queen. Have the best rest of your day, hun.
I started following you on IG a few months about and I actually began crocheting around the same time as you. As someone else with ADHD, this was hands down the best tutorial I’ve ever watched. You were so incredibly thorough. Hearing verbal directions along with written directions and a diagram made this pattern so easy to follow! Can’t wait to see how mine turns out in the end. Thank you!🥰
I literally stumbled on this video, clicked without knowing it was you. I have missed you on the other side! I’m so glad I found you here. You look great!
I have been crocheting for almost 30 years, I've made amigurumi, purses, blankets, and scarves, and I love this project so much! Also, sorry, I kind of feel like a stalker now. I've been following you on TikTok because you made me laugh, and I could relate to your stories so much. Then you popped up on my Instagram, and I'm like ok I'll follow here too. Now you're on my TH-cam... but I love witnessing your growth, following along with your projects. Seeing your videos always brings a smile to my face... thank you for sharing ❤
I've been crocheting for over 30 years, I didn't start watching crochet tutorials until 2011 or 2012 (somewhere in there), I taught myself to read patterns long ago from books (before the internet) when that was all that was available and wish there was a tutorial like this back then. By far the best tutorial I've ever seen. This is a must see for beginners. Amazing, well done mam.
Wow!!! Thank you so much!!!! This is high praise!
Great job!
I wholeheartedly agree with you!! Please keep doing these types of videos. I would love to see you make a sweater with your squares!
absolutely agree, I have been crocheting since I was 8 (taught by my aunt) and i am now 52, and you taught how to do this like a super pro. Great job!
Searched and couldn't find a written version of her pattern, so here it is! You're welcome!

NOTE: When done with this row, you should have 19 stitches all on each side and a total of 76 stitches. (Ch 2 between the corner stitches don’t count toward your total stitch count)
Ch 3 for height (does not count as DC)
SIDES: DC into every stitch on the sides
CORNERS: 2 DC + Ch 2 + 2 DC
SlSt to close between chain of 3 and first DC. Ch 1 to close.
DONE!
I love you
thank you, you're an angel.
Thank you very much!❤
So so grateful!
thank you so much!! ur so real for this
You make our craft SO approachable. The comments section full of people who want to join us in crochet warms my heart.
Crochet seemed so inaccessible to me for a long time because I didn’t get it. I found other TH-camrs with adhd and they made it so much easier and I love crocheting now. I’m so grateful for creators like Elyse who make it easier for people who are neurodivergent
I love this comment section so much!!
Yesssss let's make the hand craft community bigger. It's the best hobby to have. As someone with severe anxiety knitting and crocheting have been a life saver for me in refocusing my attention on something fun and productive rather than focusing on the anxiousness I feel.
Super appreciate you making this.
@@tori3575 I once crocheted an entire shawl during a hurricane because it helped keep me calm.

This is probably the best crochet tutorial I've ever seen! I love the "Here's what it should look like and here's the diagram for the next step" parts. Looking forward to more. :)
Thank you so much. I hope I can find my way back to this. 🤞🏻
Same name, lol.
YOU’RE A **GODDESS** - THANK YOU FOR THIS, SO MUCH!!
I hope she adds chapters to the video, that would help so much. I love the intro part to every new step in the video where she shows what’s coming next and what it looks like. But it’s annoying to have to skip back and forth
Thank you so much for the time stamps! This is really helpful. 😁🧶😁
Im begging you, PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE! You’ve inspired me to start crocheting and finding tutorials that I can sit through and actual learn from has been tricky but I LOVE the way you’ve put this together! I can finally make a granny square!❤️
Hello Kylee, how are you doing?
Me too, I hadn't done this in years and now I want to crochet everything before the holidays😂
Listen, I’ve been crocheting for 16 years and I’ve never seen a better tutorial!!! I’m not joking! Thank you! Please PLEASE do more
You stated once that people with ADHD shouldn’t start with granny squares and then you put out this and now I dont know if I should or shouldnt take up making granny squares. Thanks Elise, my head hurts
i remember this (all too well) 😭
I'm a new crocheter and I get what she meant.
I can't remember her exact words, but presumably she meant for literally your first project. Like experiment and play about a bit first, kinda thing?
I think the hope with this tutorial is to teach in a way that she learns! So for visual processing and Elyse’s unique adhd learning.
I've crocheted for 45 years and watched this video because I love your Shorts and was curious about how a newbie would teach. This is the actual best learn to crochet tutorial I've ever seen. My daughter has been wanting to learn and I've sent her a link. Great job!
I agree this is a great video❤
Do I already know how to crochet? Yes! Am I going to watch this whole video still? Also, yes! 😁
Same 😂❤
Same here 😂
Same!
Sameeeee ❤😂
Same!
This is EXACTLY how I learn. I’ve been watching beginner videos all evening and nothing has clicked. Thank you for posting this!!!
Hello Jessica, how are you doing?
OMG, I’ve been crocheting for over 50 years. Your tutorial is amazing. The way you explain everything so clearly, and the graphics, the on screen abbreviations of the crochet stitches, where to place the stitch markers . You’re teaching people how to read a pattern. The best tutorial ever, I’m going to share this with my niece. You’re brilliant, thank you.
Please, please, please do more tutorials! I'm a beginner, and this is the EASIEST tutorial I have followed BY FAR!!!! THANK-YOU!
Hello Jen, how are you doing?
Not me crying like a baby because I've finally found a tutorial that actually works for me. ❤❤❤i cannot thank you enough
Thank you so much for all that you do ❤❤
Hello Margaret, how are you doing?
This is so relaxing to watch. The music, the stitching, the voice. Lovely
My thoughts exactly!! ❤
It's all soo good
"Make sure you count 16 double crochet, ok check again, again, and again.
I used a different color yarn before I got stitch markers in a pinch, I've also used safety pins and paper clips @@sharons9221
I just cant figure out the 16 part as well.. i did 16 DC but when I close the ring it’s 17 stitches.
I have been crocheting for over 10 years and this tutorial is the best I have watched by far! PLEASE do more!!
Hello there Catherine, how are you doing?
I agree to the masses that say that this is one of the best tutorials they have seen. The different ways you allow people to gather their information through is amazing. its written, it is demonstrated and its shown clearly on a picture drawn out what is coming in the next step. Good speed, easy to follow, and very inspiring! Well d one.
I have been crocheting 40+ years, this is an awesome tutorial!! Great job! So proud of you!! Keep up the good work!!
Elyse ... I love you for this.
Thank you for mainstreaming all the ways to learn crochet into one solid ass video.
You're goat.
My brain and crochet just doesn’t click but I still will watch the whole thing ❤️
Same 😢 I want to so bad but I just cannottt 😭
My brain hears double crochet but then my eyes see like 4 stitches and I can't grasp it. 😵💫
Knitting may be a better fit. I teach both and some people's brains really don't latch on to one or the other as well but thrive when the other craft is tried.
@@mc_creates3499 I will have to look at some videos to see if I can comprehend knitting. Thanks for the suggestion!
There are some great videos out there, I hope you find one that works out!
Hello Linda, how are you doing?
ASMR from Elyse crocheting. I'm waiting for someone to arrive and now I want a nap, this is so relaxing. My guest will have to wake me up knocking on the door. I have a really hard time keeping count, and keeping even tension, but this is really pretty and a sweater of these would be so cool.
went to the yarn store this morning just to try this out, new hook and all. am now sitting here close to the tv so i can follow along:) its going well, wish i could show you. you are a very good teacher, ty for this video dear:)
Hello Kristina, how are you doing?
Hello Kristina, how are you doing?
I’m so happy you finally got this done. I love crochet, I’m glad you found that you do too. You did a great job explaining. Thank you.
She did an excellent job explaining this granny square! I feel that I can send it to my friend who is just starting out with crochet could follow along! Elise should be so proud of herself!!
This is GREAT!! Thxxx
I agree that a granny shdn't be one's "first miracle," but we need to get around to it to round out knowledge. Love this video ❤
So excited to see this; thank you for working on this!! Sending positive healing thoughts for your son’s upcoming surgery. ❤❤❤
I am an experienced crocheter, but this pattern was flummoxing me. Your video is hands down THE BEST tutorial for this pattern. Thank you so much.
I have watched many crochet videos and this is by far one of the BEST crochet video's I have ever watched! So detailed and well explained! Well done on a VERY successful first crochet video!!! I can't wait to make this!!!!
Hello there Michelle, how are you doing?
Hello there my dearest, how are you doing?
It makes my ADHD knitter’s heart so happy to see you so excited about this and I’m super impressed at how you showed how to do this! Love the pattern.
YAY! You knocked it out of the park!! This is amazing and so are you. Hang in there mama!
I just want to say I would LOVE to see more tutorials from you. You break things down so simply ❤️
Loved it 10/10
NO MAGIC RING! what a life saver. I've been hating making amirugumi bc the magic ring. i'll def use your method😭😭😭
Hello there Kara, how are you doing and where are you watching from?
I'm teaching my daughter how to crochet and I feel like she can actually do this. Thank you so much for your time.
Hello Amanda, how are you doing?
I had the same question!! I kept getting 23 stitches per side and ended up ripping out my border. Wish I hadn’t done that so quickly 😂
I am a lifelong knitter who has always LOVED granny squares - something you just can’t do right with knitting. I “can” crochet, but I get frustrated - but this tutorial addresses all my frustrations! I love it and I will make these gorgeous squares because you have done this so well! 🩷
Not me adding a bunch of views to this video watching it every time I make a square to prep making the sweater 😂
Lmao SAME! 😂
Saaaaaaame lmao!
😂😂😂 me too!!!
Thanks for honesty and authenticity. It's very empowering to beginners or those like me who never developed their craft just stayed beginners lol!
I agree with everyone. Been crocheting for 15 years and this is the best tutorial I've ever seen. Your attention to detail is 💯! ❤
You are freaking AMAZING.
Watched a lot of tutorials for this square. Yours is, by far, the easiest to follow.
Hello there Denise, how are you doing?
The day this video came out I made 4 daisy squares, this tutorial is amazing! Over 6 weeks I have made a blanket with them and I adore it so much!
Thank you for teaching me to make my first crochet flower and granny square!!! Recovering from surgery and I made several with this video 💖🙏🙌 Thank you 😊
Your tutorials are the best I’ve ever seen! Thank you for all the time you put into making it so clear! Following for more!
Hello Danielle, how are you doing?
I was so frustrated trying to find this pattern and I'm so happy I came across your video this is exactly what I needed!
Fairly new at crochet after knitting for years and I have to say this is the best and easiest to follow tutorial I have ever watched! 👌👌👌
Elyse! You have finally taught the magic circle in a way I understand!!! Can’t thank you enough for this video. Love you!
You speak my language! Best tutorial ever. Thank you.
This is one of the BEST tutorials I have watched!!! I’ve only been crocheting for 2 years but have watched hundreds of tutorials!!! Thank you!!!!!!
The best tutorial I’ve watched in the last 10 years! ❤Thank you!
