I was near the finish line and I was drifting to gain speed and I accidentally went off the track. The weird thing was, I didn’t fall off and get rescued by Lakitu, but I somehow flew over that chunk of the course and landed back on the track below.
I tried to copy and paste the bee movie script on a video, youtube crashed and sent me to this video. i was just about to watch the whole series anyway.
But you missed the biggest, most game breaking glitch in the game. .... No playable Waluigi. How could Nintendo let a bug like that slip unnoticed!?!?!?
I failed a couple of times doing the maple treeway glitch, and for some of my attempts, my game wasn’t showing the glider part that shows the symbol. It was just showing lines.

We Westerners were quite fortunate to have a creative title for Super Circuit. Its Japanese title is simply "Mario Kart Advance". At least Double Dash!! wasn't "Mario Kart GC".
I think it was to not mess with online leaderboards. Their options were to completely wipe all time trail records, or leave them up and patch the glitch. if they did the second, the top of the leaderboards would be untouchable cause you wouldnt be able to perform the glitch they used. So they made it impossible to do online vs other players, but allowed it vs cpu and time trails :]
I actually discovered a glitch in the Battle courses. Wuhu Town has a specific corner of the outside fence where if you boost into it from the right angle, you'll clip through and out of bounds. However, it'll immediately reset you, so not that useful.
@A+Start 1:10 go to maka wuhu and that platform at the end with the balloons and you can glide backwards if you back up and hop before touching the blue gliding panel
I am the best in the world, apparently, according to my time. 1:16.978. Or at least, that's how it is on my server. Not sure if there are different servers used for the Nintendo Network. If you look at the times and see a "Powmas", that's me. :)

To be really honest, your time sucks. I don't want to be rude, but you can easily improve. My advice is to look at what the WR Holder is doing during the race to learn what you need to do.
It's been like 5 years since I played Mario Kart 7. And I STILL have the time trial record on Maka Wuhu with 1:15.433! The next closest is at 1:31.392! (this is with the two boost 'glitches' at 6:09 (I say glitches because these boost spots don't work in online play so they were probably put in on purpose by nintendo))
Also, there are 3 other glitches that I found: 1. Go to rainbow road (3 part one) and get to the spinning tube. Now you can just speed around, and up the walls, and you can fall off the walls, and spin around. 2. Go to Rainbow road (again) and go to the moon, right before the 3rd lap count. Drive over the lap count, then quickly drive back onto the moon’s surface. The wrong music will play, and instead of the quiet music, the normal music will play 3. Go to Wario Shipyard and get to the glider ramp. Angle yourself so that you generally are facing to the right corner of the glider panel. Then just fly off, use a mushroom going straight up, and you’ll fly over the wall, out of bounds, and die. 👍
I did #1 and something cool happened. I did it and I went in circles 3 times. Then I turned right and I kept spinning out. (I spun out 7 times in a row.) Isnt that cool?

I've tried the Bowser Castle 1 wall jump with Bowser but I couldn't get over the wall. I think I was driving the koopa clown car with red monster wheels.
I found a new glitch in Mario kart 7 in neo Bowser city if you go backwards at the beginning in time trials use a mushroom at that jump and u will go over the wall but it won't count as a lap
Darragh Masterson there's honestly 0 track or shortcut glitches in Mario kart 8. all he would be able to talk about is firehopping, which isn't even a glitch, it's a mechanic. I love Mario Kart 8 I and would be interested to see him talk about it, there's just nothing glitchy in the game due to lakitu being immediate with picking you up.

My friend found that last Maka Wuhu glitch on his own (though he goes to the left instead) and he has the world record, or at least the last time I checked the leaderboards. He probably hadn't updated the leaderboard, so it looked like he was the #1. If the lead player on the 3DS is a player named Thomas, then that's him.
When the game first came out, I (briefly) held the world record on Maka Wuhu because I found that shortcut glitch by accident. Closest I'll ever get to actually being good. :P
