It's important to note, those not getting the message on their headset: If this happens, go into your phone and make sure Developer mode is switched off. Mine was on which was causing the issue. As soon as I switched it off, I got the message pop up on my headset! In your phone, go into your headset (where it shows it's connected), then select More Settings and then Developer Mode.
I have the Quest, I allowed the computer to acces my file and I have the structured file like you showed. But they are all empty, including the Oculus one. Help!

I have the quest 2 and sidequest everything is updated and works fine , but for some reason Its impossible to transfer video mp4 files from pc to quest 2 without getting an error as many people have also reported. okay, so I find the file on the pc but it won't play... the gigabites makes me think it is there... but the runtime is 0:00:00. like I didn't record nothing but when I search on the oculus quest the recording session I can watch it no problem whatsoever. I try to play it with VLC media player , Windows media player and what not.... nothing. I can see them on the oculus quest via the oculus gallery app, but it doesn't play on the pc.

Bluetooth no, not at the moment at least. There is a browser where you can download things off the Internet but it's hit and miss as to what works. I wouldn't rely on it.

Well, I did all what you said, but all the videos there are 0:00 minutes long, even though they are more then 50 mb each. On the quest itself, it plays this videos without problems
I've been on the fence about getting the 64gb quest or the 128gb (I'd like to save €100 if I can!) so if I can save my save files for games on my pc Ill never have to worry about losing save data when uninstalling if I run out of space in future so this was great for me to watch, cheers 👍
That's not how it works, at the moment you'll need to use third party software to back up your saves (SideQuest) if you don't want to lose them if you uninstall games. Else you will lose saves.

is the "movie" folder where u put your 2D movies as well as your 3D movies? i'm asking cause i have a Samsung Gear and to watch my 3D vr movies i had to create a Milk Vr folder on my phone and drop the files in there from my pc. if i put my 3D movies in the regular "movie" folder on my phone, it would only play as a 2D movie. so i was wondering if u also gotta create folders in Oculus Go for 3D movies or if we put them all in the "movie" folder and it'll automatically recognize if it's 2D or 3D
It doesnt matter, you can drop them into any folder and it'll find them. If you use apps like Skybox and Pigasus you can browse folders so create which ever folder system works for you.
If your unable to view your videos from the oculas quest video file. I moved all the videos to the pc and then your able to view them once they are sent to the pc, thats what works for me

Hi Ramarcus. I copied a video I made with my Insta360 Evo, over to the quest, in developer mode. It shows up in the gallery on the headset, but doesn't play. Do you have any idea why?
Is it an MP4 or the INSV file? Gallery won't play INSV files and you need to have both parts for it to work in the Insta360 VR app. Stitch it in the Insta360 Studio software and then you should be able to view it fine.
It shows up in Skybox as well, but not as VR. It thinks it's a flat video, but shows the side by side format. I followed the workflow in the CreatorUp video, and ticked video is VR in Premiere.

Plex VR is available. So you can stream from a home server that way. Apps like Skybox media player can access home media servers. More will hopefully come with time.

It depends how you purchased them. If they allow you to transfer actual field then sure, but if it's behind a copyright protection wall you might have trouble. If you can transfer to a USB stick then you should be able to transfer to the Go.

Have you accepted the connection from within the headset? Put it on after you connect and check.

You can't install games just by putting them in the folders. Best to use something like SideQuest to install them.

Turn developer mode off. Any make sure you accept any messages inside the headset after you connect it.

You should just be able to access your camera roll from within Oculus Gallery. 👍

Just change the type of cord to allow other oculus vr headsets, usb to usb c for instance would work for quest and some only cost 8-10 bucks

There are no Spiderman games unfortunately. On PC VR there is Marvel United and PSVR has a full Spiderman only game.

A to C will work. Just make sure it accepts data as most cheap ones are just power.

Turn off developer mode in the Oculus mobile app for your headset.

What are you expecting to be in the music folder? Add your own mp3 files in there and they'll appear in Smash the Beats.

What videos? Ones you've recorded? Copy more than two at a time and you should be okay. 👍

Try running the plex app on your phone. Should be able to share stuff that way.

Have you enabled Developer mode? If so, either disable it or set up adb on your PC and then run it (adb devices typed into the command line).

You're getting about 30mps, so not fast but it could be slower. You can still use the headset while files are transferring.

Plex VR is available. So you can stream from a home server that way. Apps like Skybox media player can access home media servers. More will hopefully come with time.

Not with a direct connection (yet).
On a PC you could set up a Plex server and use the plex app on the Go to access videos etc.

It depends how you purchased them. If they allow you to transfer actual field then sure, but if it's behind a copyright protection wall you might have trouble. If you can transfer to a USB stick then you should be able to transfer to the Go.
