Your views on “talent” are well known and respected. However; all the practice in the world cannot give someone the groove and the soul that you have when you play songs like this. The Impressions would be so proud to hear this version. This has Philly R&B all over it. Great job as always. I’ll be watching this over and over.
You might be underestimating that waking up at 4 am and practicing 4 hours a day for many years can make someone as good as they want to be. In Joe’s case it seems he never settles with what he’s already accomplished, so he is constantly improving. I’d say even a year ago he wasn’t as good as he is now and back then he was already ridiculously comfortable with the guitar.

There's a skill level needed with singing and guitar that you have - but also the sound quality of the performance is right up there at 10/10. No part was lacking finesse

I mean, you can play like the best of em, but that's not what gets those huge numbers because most people don't even try to play let alone play and since I started learning to play is when I realised what you're doing but that is about technique, ability etc. Gloria was a huge hit, and any mug can learn to play it. Why, I ask? What is that moment, that essence that sparks the fire.? Whatever it is it's mighty sweet and makes for the ultimate irresistible earworm.
